Worst place i’ve ever used. the guys were so creepy and made my friend and I extremely uncomfortable.

Maurer came to pick up my car and apparently saw a group of people sitting on a car in front of mine looking at my car, the man towing my car then told them they had to get away from my car because he was about to tow it and then preceded to walk back to his wrecker to load my car up and the group of people reached into my cracked window, unlocked the doors and stole my purse and book bag! Overall value of the stuff taken was upwards of $500, I am out of a debit card, drivers license, laptop, airpods, social security card, any cash I had, etc. Heres the catch though, I called to ask about picking up my vehicle at 1:00 am that morning and the phone call lasted 9 minutes, all the while I have not been informed that I was a victim of theft. This incompetent man told me a manager would be at their location to speak with me, due to towing issues, when I got there to pick up my car. So, I uber there and arrive around 1:30, all of the lights are off and the door is locked. I call back and ask where this man is and where his manager that he said would be there was. He informs me that his manager told him to take care of it and that he was on a service call that would take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. I sit and wait at their location and he finally returns around 2:30 am. At this point he has withheld my theft information from me for over an hour and a half. He sees me sitting there and continues to the lot to dump off the car he had just brought in, it takes this man at least 15 minutes in the lot so I walk up and prompt a conversation to happen, where he FINALLY informs me of the theft. To top it all off, Maurer apparently holds no responsibility because the theft didnt happen on their lot, I was not treated like a priority WHILE my own theft information was being held from me!? Another cherry on top is they were still going to make me pay $105.00 to get my car back before they learned who my step-father is. Horrible customer service.

Called in because my car was towed - The guy on the phone said to wait until I got there to call in and he would be over in 2 minutes. Called in and it took them 20 minutes to show up.When he did show up he told me to put a mask on for service while he himself was not wearing a mask and proceeded to tell me “that’s just the rule”.Bill was $105 and I paid $110 in cash. They didn’t have change for a $10 and ended up making me pay on card which was an extra $3 service fee. So I have to pay extra because they can’t run a professional business? Lol

My car got towed in a lot that apparently has permanent no public parking even after 7pm. But the guy who towed my car didnt put a scratch on it which was a huge relief to me. Overall this was a very seamless easy company to work with that was very reasonable. 10/10 hope I dont get towed again but if I do, I hope these guys do it. Also the cute cat that worked there helped.

Staff is top notch and knowledgeable. They explain things without talking down to you. Used them more than once and unlike other tow companies I have used, my vehicle was not damaged or dented at destination.

Responded incredibly quickly to my state trooper call for a tow and took me all the way back to an auto-shop near my residence. I was really shaken up from my accident and he calmed down and just talked to me, which really helped my nerves. Exceptional service and very friendly hospitality.

I had two appointments set up through Geico. Each time, Maurer wrecker did not show up. I called Maurer wrecker each time and they just said we dont have anything from Geico. Well, thats a lie, they simply just cancelled it. Geico spoke with the company over the phone each time to set up the appointment, how is it you magically havent received anything from Geico. If you didnt want to take the job then just simply decline it, instead of wasting peoples time waiting for you to show up. I high advise against using this company for any of you towing needs.

Car got towed twice now while having a parking pass on it. Late for work again because of it. The tow truck drivers hop out there trucks then look around cars with there flash lights for passes. Maybe they should look harder next time. The pass was in clear sight on the dashboard.

This morning, I absentmindedly locked my keys in my vehicle while I was at the gas station. Since I have never had that happen to me before, I didnt know who to call! After calling a few different places, I finally got a hold of Maurer Towing, and now I know to call them first! I had such a good experience with them. Dion (I didnt catch how to spell his name) got to me so fast, and helped me out. Thanks, guys!

My car broke down on Main St. so I pushed it into nearest parking lot which was one of Maurer Wreckers lots and was going to have my mechanic tow it in the morning. I left a note on the windshield explaining the situation and begging them not to tow it. Of course they towed it so they charged me $105 for the initial tow and an additional $55 to get it towed to my mechanic. The lady at the desk was very nice and understanding but unfortunately it wasnt up to her. This place is just as bad if not worse than Joes Towing.

Terrible. Waited 3 hours, when I literally scheduled a time to meet where my car had gotten a flat. Driver acted like he was in no wrong. Took my car to wrong shop and charged me $305 to get it to the correct shop after the whole mix up was said and done. I just ended up paying because it was less problematic than dealing with this unorganized and trash business. Pretty hard to get me to have a complaint, but this place shouldnt even be running with the stories Ive heard and now my experience.

My brakes gave out at a busy intersection just now. Dion was there with a friendly tow in, no kidding, less than 10 minutes!!!! Not only that, he offered and gave me a ride back to work even though I had other options. I was very impressed.

I connected with them on my roadside assistance thru my insurance & I must say whoever they sent out was the nicest, most understanding, helpful person. I didn’t get his name but I hope he is recognized for his hard work & dedication

Friday night I ventured to Bloomington to experience Anju for the first time. I mistakenly parked in an open parking lot with an extremely small sign in the dark under some trees that said permit parking only (I saw once my car was up on the tow truck as I walked up) driver told me it was permit only it would cost me $150 to get it back but if I had cash he could drop the car right now for $50. He had another man with him with no uniform. They thanked me for not being angry or hostile. I handed him the $50 and he asked me if I wanted a receipt and I said yes. He scrambles In the truck for a moment and said here’s the thing I don’t have my receipt book so I’m gonna give u $20 back and we will call it good.

Worst people. Ruined my car tires. My front car tire got busted after few days of towing by the totally unprofitable sketchy people. They have damaged the tires. The place is like a dungeon and the people who work look like they are criminals to loot you. Stay away from these kinda people.

Excellent service! The Maurer driver showed up quickly and took my vehicle to the service shop. My neighbor went out when the driver was going to take the vehicle and tried to stop them, wanting to know what they were doing. He very politely explained that he was taking it to a service shop. My neighbor knew the vehicle wasnt currently starting, so believed him. He handled it very well. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a vehicle towed. Lesson learned: let the neighbor know the next time Maurer is coming to pick it up to take to a service shop!

The worst ever! $130. And couldnt even tow us. We sat on the side of the road for 3 hours. Another hour then they couldnt tow our camper. It was a Sunday but advitise 24 hours. You would be better off finding anyone else. We needed there help and instead took advantage of us. Never recommend them!!!!!!!

Most of the bad reviews on here are because someone got their car towed from parking illegally. My story is similar, I parked my car in a spot not designated for myself and it was towed to Maurers lot. Upon arrival, which was around 2 am, a driver met me in a timely manner, I paid my fine and got my vehicle back with no hassle. The next day I went to the office and explained why my vehicle had been parked in the space. I was involved in an emergency, with the police, where my significant other was bit by a dog. I gave Maurer a copy of the police report and after a day they called me to refund the tow. They did not have to due this, and for that reason I have great respect for this company.

I would call them vultures, but wouldnt want to disrespect birds of prey. The $hit eating grin on the guys face after towing my truck from a completely dark, completely EMPTY parking lot with the small black sign that we never did see made me realize that Im happy to live in an area that people would never treat people this way. Not even an hour in buffalo wild wings and they towed us. Not sure if this fool was the owner but find it funny that he was making change out of his own pocket. Being business owners ourselves we recognize Shady business practices when we see them. Was completely blown away by the outstanding hospitality from this community, till this shameful company effed it up. Kudos.

Two of these scumbags scooped my car in an EMPTY parking lot with no signage to indicate it was permit-only. Towed me 2 blocks from my original location for the totally reasonable price of $105.Then these morons - with a smirk on their face - ask for my credit card to swipe on one of those phone cc swipe devices. Remarkably unprofessional. Ive lodged a complaint with the the City of Bloomington and will be bringing this to the attention of the city council.Its shady, scumbag, lowlife companies like Maurer that keep people away from our beautiful downtown.They dont deserve to do business here.

They put my car up on their flatbed with a quickness, and not in a good way. I was trying to call my own tow truck through my insurance company, and they snatched up my vehicle. Bad customer service, they kept harping how upset my bf was, and when I was able to retrieve my property from the lot I was missing property!!!!!!!!!

Worst Experience ever. Was told two different things from two different people after they towed my vehicle from an auto accident. When I called to ask if they charged per day that the vehicle stayed there, the man on the phone said they dont charge until a week. When I got there a week later to pick up the car, they said they couldnt find the auto accident ticket report or could find the keys to the car. The man then said that whoever i talked to on the phone was completely wrong and that they charge $40 per day that the car sits, ALONG with the 300 that they charged to pick up the vehicle (i looked it up its only $300 if the accident was DUI related, which mine was not). I confronted him about his lack of organization and communication and he let me settle everything for $150 and I Gave him my title. I really do not reccommend working with this place. its a joke and they are unprofessional.

Very quick ETA, treated my POS car like it was new. I also live in an apartment where Maurer tows for us they help me and all my friends out with guess passes up till 11p.m. I highly recommend this company for anyone that is in need of help.

I was absolutely dissatisfied with my experience with this company. They started to tow my car and as they were doing so I stopped them and asked to speak with a supervisor after they said I had to pay $25 dollars just because their equipment had touched my car. Instead of saying that talking to a supervisor wasnt an option at that time and giving a number to call in the morning, his response was hes in bed. Also when I was asking the driver about what was happening, he decided he wanted to have an attitude and asked if I didnt know how to read. This is an absolutely horrible business, and I feel bad for anyone dealing with them.

Anyone who rated them 5 stars is either a damn lie or an employee.

This scumbag company relies on profits from stealing cars from locations that conveniently for them are missing no parking signs. Then, even with photographic evidence, lie saying the sign was always there and the car owner likely destroyed it after the fact.

They literally took our car off the side of the road after we had road side assistance coming to our car for help and now they are trying to charge us 500$ to get it out! Very unprofessional people and extremely rude

Maurer Wrecker Services is the towing company for my apartment complex. I had a semi-last minute guest (found out Friday night he would be coming Saturday) so I called Saturday morning to try to get a guest parking pass. I was told they only do that 8-5 Monday-Friday and I would need to find alternative parking so needless to say I was frustrated. I had no way of knowing that I would be having a guest in enough time and they dont appear to have a website that would indicate their guest parking pass policy. Im stuck with the towing company my apartment complex chooses, but I found the experience frustrating and I wont deal with them again if I can avoid it.

Fast affordable friendly! I use your company often and will continue thanks again!
