I didnt know much about Instant Request when I booked them; I pretty much just saw they had good reviews and hoped for the best. Thankfully, all worked out wonderfully! Their website is so helpful in helping you plan and communicate your audio needs and song requests for both the ceremony and reception. Also helpful was the personal call with the DJ the week before the wedding to talk over my several complicated transitions in ceremony music, microphones for speeches, etc. The DJ was very professional, fun, and helpful. As far as I could tell as the bride, everything was executed perfectly. And the music must have been good because, for better or worse, I spent the ENTIRE night on the dance floor!

Rick did a great job at our wedding. Everyone danced the entire time, which was what we wanted, and he indulged some special moments (like singing from the groom). The process of working with Instant Request is good, but a little overwhelming. The questionnaire is extensive, which I guess is good, but it was a lot in the moment during wedding planning. In end it was great. Very professional company to work with.

We were fortunate to have Kyle be our DJ from Instant Request DJ Services. He did a great job keeping the party going and playing songs that our crowd appreciated! The dance floor may not have been full at all times but I noticed people were dancing and enjoying the music through out the entire dining hall!

We hired a DJ through Instant Request for our wedding. We did the black tie package so we were able to choose our DJ. DJ David was a perfect fit for the wedding we wanted. We met a few weeks before the wedding and talked through the music, timing, and vibe of the wedding we wanted. He absolutely hit it out of the park. The wedding was exactly how we imagined and people were on the dance floor the entire night. Multiple people after the wedding talked about how fun the DJ was. Instant request made an overwhelming process easy! From their super easy DJ Planner program to help you collect your thoughts to the day of, it was excellent. DJ Just was fantastic. Our exchanges in advance of the wedding made the day run smoothly and he took care of business. Our wedding also had a silent disco and he rocked it. Instant request EXCEEDED our expectations. First off- the planner software that couples get to utilize is wonderful. We were able to hand select songs to play and everything was very organized and user friendly. It also helped us stay organized with grand march, music while eating, announcements, first dance selections, etc. Secondly- we were told great things about DJ Zach through a family member who went to a wedding and DJ Zach was the entertainment. We decided to purchase the black tie package and request him for our big day. DJ Zach was INCREDIBLE. Entertainment was something we were very particular about because we basically wanted the dance floor packed all night- and it was!!! DJ Zach really read the room and had the perfect selection of songs. Everyone was raving about how great the DJ was. Not only did we get compliments for the dance floor music selection but even the music played during dinner... amazing. Hire instant request and DJ Zach- I promise you wont regret it.

Instant Request was easy to work with from the beginning and very organized. Our DJ Jimmy B was amazing!!! He put together our ceremony music seamlessly, even using a family piano recording for us. He created the best dance floor ever - it was full and non-stop until the end of the night! We had multiple guests tell us that not only was Jimmy B the best wedding DJ they had ever encountered but that we also had the best wedding dance floor ever! We had an amazing experience with Instant Request for our April 2021 wedding! All communication was prompt and professional. The online event planner was so easy to use and super helpful! We upgraded to the Black Tie DJ package so we could select our DJ and have an in-person meeting. We selected DJ David James and he was phenomenal. I remember meeting with him for the first time a few weeks before our wedding to go over the event planner and discuss the details of the day. As every former bride knows, the last few weeks before your wedding can be very hectic and stressful trying to get all the last-minute details together. After our meeting with David, I left feeling more excited for our wedding than I had been in weeks. His enthusiasm was contagious and we could tell he was so dedicated to making our wedding a blast. We had a few non-traditional ideas for our wedding that David was so open to - for example: we did a scavenger hunt game during our reception in lieu of a dollar dance. David had never done this before, but he studied the video I sent him and absolutely killed it with organizing and running the game. He did an excellent job keeping the day moving on time, was a fabulous emcee, and kept our dance floor packed all night long. Weve had so many of our wedding guests come up to us even to this day and tell us that our wedding was the most fun theyve ever had at a wedding. I definitely attribute a lot of that to the entertainment! Highly highly recommend Instant Request and DJ David James and would hire them again in a heartbeat!

I met Jamir at a wedding fair two years before our wedding. I immediately loved his energy and knew he was the right guy for our wedding! Man, was that the right decision! Jamir was absolutely fantastic. He was flexible with shifts made in our music plan, patient with my questions and requests, and kept the dance floor PACKED ALL NIGHT LONG. I have literally never seen so many people consistently on a dance floor all night. He had amazing energy all night long, dancing and singing behind the DJ booth. He kept the night moving with the anniversary dance, shuttle announcements, bouquet toss etc. He also made sure to check in with my husband or I if people were requesting artists on our do not play list or to confirm we wanted to do certain activities throughout the night. I cannot say enough things about Jamir. Hands down the BEST wedding DJ and will be on the top of our list if we ever need a DJ for any other event!

Seth Bovis did an incredible job at our wedding reception! He kept the crowd moving and even joined in on the fun. We booked with Instant Request to have a DJ play music for our wedding reception. We met with David beforehand to go through the ceremony and reception. We even got to pick out some of our favorite music beforehand, and we even added some songs to a ‘Must Play’ playlist. We needed to make some slight changes about a week before the wedding and it was no issue. Instant Request and David were very flexible and willing to accommodate the changes we needed to make. David was an excellent MC for our grand March, dinner time, and speech time. David was also an excellent DJ. He played great music, catered to all tastes and kept the party going! Overall great experience, highly recommend.

Instant request, and our DJ, John B, was hands down one of our favorite parts of our day! He was so great with communicating to us during our reception and was more than willing to take on random tasks, such as releasing our tables for dinner, without any hesitation. Even our groomsmen loved him! Im pretty sure he became one of the guys by the end of the night. The dance floor was packed until very end of the final song, and we cant even begin to count the number of guests that came up to us during, after, and days later telling us how amazing our DJ was. I used Instant Request for my wedding last month after researching a few options. I honestly feel like we won the lottery. We got Obi for our big day and he was AWESOME! We had tons of must-play songs, which seems like it could be annoying for a DJ, but he totally ran with it. All our friends and family loved the music - Obi kind of blew them away, tbh. 11 out of 10 stars.

Instant Request had very affordable prices and were willing to negotiate based on services. We had our wedding planned during the pandemic and they had a very flexible rescheduling policy we took advantage of. Our DJ Bret was very kind and made a point to greet and say goodbye during the busy day. He had a good mix of music and was really able to read the room. I thought the only downside is that unless you pay an extra cost you dont get to know your DJ more than a month in advance; I always think the last month has lots of loose ends to tie up so it was one more thing to finalize during the last month. Overall extremely pleased with the service, cost and music.

I was sadly a COVID bride and had to reschedule my event date and they were super accommodating. The new event date made my original DJ unavailable but they helped me identify other DJs available. Brandon Holland (aka DJ Caramel Sauce) was amazing to work with! Helped me remix a song so my father daughter dance could include my whole family and it was better than imagined! He made me feel comfortable and confident that my guests would have a good time - basically handed over the reigns to him and he made it one heck of a party! HIRE THEM.

Working with Obi was great! He was a very good DJ that kept the dance floor full and he hit all his queues. We had many compliments on the DJ and music throughout the night. He kept me confident in his abilities and I would recommend working with Obi! We ran into a little issue with our DJ having dietary restrictions that we weren’t initially notified, and we ended up needing to cover 2 meals and a hefty late fee for our DJs meal, which we were not reimbursed for after requesting this. Instant Request told us to order chicken when our DJ was a vegetarian. However, this was not our DJs fault but instant requests for not having a procedure in place to deal with this and/or rectify the issues that came up. The online platform was fairly easy to use, but we ran into the system not working multiple times through the process, which again, was on the business and not the DJ assigned. Big thanks to Obi for a fantastic night of dancing!

Instant Request has been great throughout the entire process, working with us to move dates without any hesitation when we had to postpone due to COVID. They have been very responsive to emails over the last year and we felt like we got every dollar’s worth from them! Great value!

Ahh I am a little behind on my reviews, but we had DJ Alex for our May 15th, 2021 wedding and he hit it out of the park! I started off by speaking with Mitch, who was also amazing! Mitch was very responsive and quick to answer emails. Mitch listened to what I wanted in a DJ and said Alex would be a perfect fit, and he was. When I met with Alex a few weeks before we had a drink and talked like we were friends. He wanted to make sure I had everything I wanted as far as a DJ goes. He worked really well with my Officiant to keep everything running smooth. The one thing I remember from past weddings was the DJ, so this was very important to me. Alex listened to all my concerns and made sure the bad experiences I had before did not happen. I will always recommend Instant Request to everyone. Thank you for all your hard work Alex, we hope you had as much fun as we did! 😁

We had a great experience with Instant Request DJ! Not only was it super affordable, it was also super easy with their portal online to fill out all of the information. They were also incredibly flexible with us through many changes to our reception date due to COVID and we couldnt be more thankful for that. Randy was great on the day of our reception. We didnt have a traditional reception, again due to COVID, and he was willing to work with us and make sure that all of our wishes came true!

Jimmy could not have been more fun!! He got everyone on the dance floor which is exactly what we asked him to do. An absolute professional and joy to work with!

DJ David James was fantastic! We had a very good experience using instant request DJ, the online event planner made it super easy for us to customize our wedding day. The DJ we had was spectacular and very professional and made sure all of the guests had a good time. 10/10 would choose them again!

We had Black Tie Dj Dave Allison at our wedding. It was AWESOME! The dance floor stayed packed. He even came out to the dancefloor and did a backflip! Crowd went wild.Furthermore, Dj Dave Allison offered to be of assistance for anything day of wedding at the venue. If he needed to run to the store or move any chairs for example, he was up for it. He was professional, kind, and the ultimate hype man. I have been to several weddings in the twin cities. DJ Dave Allison is the best in the twin cities by far. I highly highly recommend him!

The communication between the DJ and lighting was often disorganized.The DJ stated he didnt know how to convert youtube videos to MP3, but in another email I had a diff guy stating the DJ should know how to do that as it is his responsibility. I ended up converting all the songs to MP3 myself since the DJ was incompetent.The companys website to upload songs was not user friendly and DJ didnt even go off it. I had to download and create a spotify playlist, which the DJ didnt play all the songs on there like I had asked beforehand.DJ didnt take any song requests from guests like he had stated he will.DJ didnt know how to read the crowd. He played 5 slow songs in a row. Very disappointing, I dont recommend them.

Alex and the whole team at Instant Request exceeded our expectations. Alex was very professional and very flexible as rain during our wedding day brought a few changes throughout the day. From our experience, if you book them for your wedding you can count on them to deliver!

Tevin and Instant Request were awesome!!! The dance floor was packed ALL night and Tevin knew just what to play to get the dancing started. Our guests had a great time and we recommend this company to anyone who asks!
