Uber and Lyft prices were high (around $60) so I decided to give the old fashioned cab ride a try. Huge mistake! Car was spray-painted over rust and it had over 350,000 miles on it. Driver was annoyed that I had a carry-on and that I asked him to open the trunk. Apparently the trunk does not open so he asked me to put the luggage next to me on the back seat. Forgot to give him an address right away (Uber habit) so he not-so-politely reminded me that he cannot read my mind and proceeded to input my address in his phone (that should make me feel good). Car inside was beyond dirty and disgusting. Finally, when I tried to pay by credit card, the driver was not happy as he would have preferred cash. Oh yeah, the trip cost was over $60. Never again

I want to know why vehicle 4659 is such a jackass. This a-hole almost hit me trying to get in my lane. What’s weird about this incident. This is the 2nd time he almost hit me. I’m assuming the company does not care about its employees nor the customers because they never answer the phone nor do they return calls. I’ll get someone soon. Don’t make me pay a visit to this company myself.

I took the taxi to a Dr appt. Told them I had appt at 7:45 am, taxi still wasnt here at 6:50 am so I called and was told it would be 10 minutes before taxi would arrive. Man on phone was very un-professional!!! I waited for taxi to finally arrive at 7:15. All the way there the male driver was on his in car, I could hear the whole conversation between driver and other person. Not to mention he was going 65 mph on a 60. I called the person who set me up with the rides, told her the story and said I refuse to have them again in the future!!!

Providing medical ride services, my first experience with this company. I have used several of the other taxi services for my appointments, and generally have had issues with each one, from late pickups to flat out lying about me not showing. The driver today, called reasonably ahead both trips to make sure I was gonna be ready and avoid any mishaps, and the return trip I was slightly delayed getting out to meet the ride, and where the rival companies have drove off after 2 mins and report a no show, this guy waited and didnt scold or get upset. I will be contacting my insurance provider and asking them to exclusively use this company, and if you are seeking what peoples advice is, Id recommend airport taxi, they are keeping it together in this pandemic.

A male Viking taxi driver with license plate number #502-XNR and taxi #5179 cut me off and almost side swipped into my passenger side front bumper on 494-E on the evening of 12/27/19. After he cut me off he proceeded to brake- check me. I called Viking Taxi to report their reckless driver and the man who answered didnt really speak English and told me to call back on Monday? I will be calling to report to a manager but I would NOT trust this taxi company WHATSOEVER.

I ride with Viking Taxi six days a week. I have only had an issue with one driver (car 303, the driver demanded extra money from me during a medical ride paid by insurance - crass and grossly against the rules - and when I refused he kicked me from the cab in the middle of the road) but otherwise every driver has respected my needs, boundaries and dignity at all times. The company sends me drivers that I am familiar with (committing to NEVER send 303 again), friendly people that are always professional, accommodating and kind. I came to my conclusions only after having used every other cab company in the Twin Cities first.TELL DISPATCH (OR YOUR INSURANCE) **NOT** TO GIVE YOU CAR 303. If 303 shows up for your ride, just remember you are taking the risk of being shaken down and left stranded in the road who-knows-where.Hopefully he will leave the company or be let go, I would be glad to change this review back to a fully positive one if I knew he wasnt with Viking anymore!

They are completely unprofessional, they will say your taxi is 7 minutes away well that was 3 phone calls ago, starting at 12:47. Time now is 12:14 they still arent here. I have a DAILY appointment for my doctor to receive medication that is crucial to my recovery. They do not care if they get you there on time or not. My insurance company (paying for rides) contacted them well before noon to set the ride up. Absolutely no reason they should take over an hour to arrive! I just hope the clinic will stay open a few minutes longer for me, otherwise the next 24 hours are going to brutal ...

A driver in cab 5456 was nearly side swiping other cars near the air port and cutting multiple vehicles off with no signal. I tried to call the company but no one was answering the phone. Tried calling multiple times. I would have to say this is the worst cab service. Very unsafe. And their message says that the drivers are skilled and theyve been in business for 22 years. How? The drivers are awful and you will likely get in a car wreck with them. Call Uber or Lyft. Youll actually know whos picking you up.....

I rarely write reviews at all but this driver was memorably unprofessional and also billed my AmEx card in triplicate requiring a good deal of time to sort out, so I felt the need to share the heads-up. Our business travel group was directed to a Viking cab from the line-up of taxi’s at the MN airport. When we arrived at our hotel the driver insisted on cash payment. As we were traveling for business, I let him know we were required to pay via credit card. He made a big deal out of paying by cash, so much that the hotel bellman came over to inform us that Taxis are required to accept credit cards. The driver had his card reader covered with a stocking hat. Once he unveiled his card reader, it ran out of paper and took a good 10 minutes of standing by his car patiently waiting for him to get it sorted out. He continued mumbling under his breath that cash would be better. I agree I would not recommend this (driver) or company. If directed to a Viking driver at the airport, I recommend you pick a different car.

Worst Taxi Company Ever! Supposed to be to me at 7am doesnt get to me till between 830 & 930 almost everyday for 2 weeks straight! Horribly ran company horrible dispatchers dont know how to run a taxi company! I wont be riding with them much longer especially at this rate! DONT USE TERRIBLE!

No wonder Lfyt and Uber are putting you out of business! How do you call yourselves an airport service when the airport is in Bloomington and you cant pick anyone up for over an hour and a half? Absurb.... ridiculous....and completely incompetent and unprofessional. UGH! You should be embarrassed by what you must very loosrly call customer service. At 60 years old I fought the new wave of Lyft and Uber.....guess what? You CAN teach an old dog new tricks! Ill never give my time, money, tip, service, or recommendations of using a taxi cab service EVER again in my lifetime!

Horrible. Always late, always rude. Always on their phone, smoking or both. Drive around like a maniac and arent careful or considerate of anyones time. I dont know who is hiring these people who suck, but PLEASE stop. Dont hire a taxi driver who can barely drive, it not only puts the driver at risk but the passengers too. Honestly ridiculous.

We had a road rage problem with Taxi #5456 4/1/16 south bound on Hwy 100 in construction zone. he was almost in both lanes We honked as we were in right lane so he would not hit us. the we tried to get away from hi to a speed of 80 MPH he stayed with us to that speed then went faster to avoid car in right lane. then got in left lane. then he passed us in the right at 90 mph. got in front and slowed down to block us I got in right lane behind a car to avoid this wild person. I only had 2 miles to go till Hwy 62 to turn of to Fairview hospital. h e stayed in left lane to block us. Strange bad driver just so serious road rage. SAD

My driver started tailgating, and then engaging in road rage with a motorcyclist. I felt so unsafe in the car with him I got out and walked away. I dont think they do background checks on their drivers because this guy seemed violent. also, all of the positive reviews below look like they were written by employees of the company.

I have never felt compelled to write a bad review before, but I live in MSP and they absolutely screwed me on a cab ride from the airport. I tried to explain the back route to my home which is 6.5 miles shorter than taking the highway. When I objected to getting on the highway the cabbie told me This is the faster way Dont try to pull one over on me when I live here you D-bag. Terrible service, call 10/10 next time.

Horrible cab drivers and the dispatcher is even worse! I was stuck riding with this cab bc of my med insurance and they couldnt even get the time or address right! Everytime I called to see where my cab was, they said 5 minutes away when really it was closer to an hour! I would never recommend this company!

After two calls to the dispatcher and being 15 minutes late, the driver finally called (several miles from our home) lost and with a broken GPS. After trying to explain the route to the house twice, we gave up and woke up my daughter to drive us to the airport. Stay away.

Cab driver 5617 failed to turn on his meter even after we asked, then tried to charge us more than double what Red and White charged to get us there. Driver got irate with us when we told him. Scary ride! Never using this company again.

I will tell you all this company is horrible and I actually am calling the police today for a driver who was reckless driver. I was driving in st paul in I was in the turn lane to turn left. The driver was behind me as the light turned green to turn I was in the process of turning the taxi driver went on my left side driver side and cut me off and I almost hit people that were finishing walking in the cross walk. I was shaking so bad I had to pull over, then I call the taxi company and they hung up on me because they didnt want to deal with it. So dont get in 5456 car........

Waited an hour and 20 min for a return trip on medical ride, this is after i cslled viking after 20 min he be there 10 min, call half hor later i promise i see him on gps he five min away. What a joke, turned out the driver had north and south Robert street mixed up and no gps was of course a moron solmilian, if u dont know the roads or own a gps, or know where a MAJOR clinic is how can u work for a company that does a lit of mecical rides?!?!? Only booked because insurance said because its a same day trip they were limited, ill tske the bus even though it was ten degrees out before riding viking again!!!!!!

The driver got defensive when I would not agree to have my credit card on old paper and asked why this company doesnt have the available devices from machines to square to take payment .... Paper?! Really?! I dont travel with cash ... Gave him $20 ... And a colleague was near by at my hotel to give me $15 ... Its a rip off and inexcusable to pressure clients to use the old paper trail and risk identity theft. Never use again. Go über!
