Kudos! I had a somewhat vague request and somehow Gina managed to cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. Everyone here is prompt, friendly, organized and professional--not to mention that they are not too shabby in the barber department. Very happy and satisfied customer! The facilities are modern and clean and the pricing is very affordable for what you get! Love their online booking system on their website, nice touch and makes appointments easy!

Not sure what the purpose of having an appointment only based model, if you make an appointment for 6:30, they say your barber is running a few minutes late, so I decided to leave at 7:05. Maybe just switch to walk in only, if you cant stick to a schedule.

I was looking for a barbershop in town to give me my first haircut since covid, I’m a female but ended up cutting my hair short during quarantine and butchered it. I went to a shop down the street where they refused to cut me being a woman, but Handsome Heads took me in and made me feel comfortable and confident! I went to Ashley and she did an amazing job and also kept an amazing conversation.

I have been going here since they opened. Dana does a good job and price is reasonable.

I have been going to Handsome Heads for the last 2 years. Michael Brooks is my barber. I have been with Michael for the last 6 years.Handsome Heads is one of the cleanest barbershops I have ever been in. I swear you can eat off the floors. Every item is sanitized and the floors are swept constantly along with being mopped at the end of the night.The staff is amazing. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming upon entering the shop. You can have a conversation with the entire staff there. Before the COVID-19 Pandemic, you had the ability to have an espresso while you waited and watch TV. They also had soda and water available.Michael is the best barber I have ever had. He is personable, easy to get along with, and knows the current hair styles. He always has a great recommendation if you are unsure what to do with your hair. I used to get a skin tight mid fade. Now that I am an attorney, Michael convinced me to grow my hair out and to become more professional. He still knows I love my hair short and is able to accommodate my desire for shorter hair and my profession into one cut.Michael also has the most gentle and steady hand when it comes to a straight razor shave. My face has never felt better and Michael will even clean up the eyebrows for you as well.Trust me, you do not want to go anywhere else.

For clarification: I bring my 10 year-old son here to get his hair cut.Handsome Heads has very friendly staff and take time to ask the parent if their kids haircut is to their liking before they cut off too much/shape it incorrectly. Not all barber shops do that.Handsome Heads is also great because of the free drinks (water/juice) and the old comic books available to read while you wait.Bring cash as this place is cash only!

Great experience, haircut, and service every time. Ive been coming here consistently since they opened, even after moving farther away. The drive is worth it, because I always receive a great haircut with attention to detail, and attention to problem areas like my cowlick. Highly recommended.

I’ve always felt like I had terrible haircuts as I grew up. One day a couple of years ago I walked into a barbershop in Montclair and met Dana. That day I felt like I had the best haircut ever and I became a devoted customer. She left that Barbershop in Montclair and opened up her own barbershop. Handsome Heads Barbershop in Bloomfield, NJ. It has a great relaxing atmosphere to it and everyone is friendly. Me and my son, who is 4 yrs old, now make getting our haircuts there, a part of our boys day out. Although I favorite Dana, her other barbers provide great service as well. They provide quite a few grooming services and all seem fair priced. I also like how all the barbers create a personal relationship with the customers. Great work Handsome Heads Barbershop!!!!!!

I got my haircut for my wedding here and I wont go anywhere else. Theyre extremely skilled and professional. The wait time can be a bit long sometimes but its absolutely worth the wait, and they offer refreshments while you wait. The prices are very fair as well.

This lovely woman worked quietly and meticulously to make sure that everything was perfect, and offered some valuable suggestions that made my beard look better than it ever has!Talin took her time and made me on incredibly satisfied customers. I wandered into Handsome Heads because I happened to be next door at the Post Office. Lord knows there is no shortage of Barber Shops in Bloomfield. But the place feels modern, clean and comfortable.I received my haircut from Dana, who was engaging, professional and very good at what she does. This was my first time at Handsome Heads, but it certainly won’t be my last.

Love this barber shop! The women are friendly & very professional. The quality of their work is high & they give great cuts. The shop is very modern & offers amenities like wireless charging for your phone & beverage service while waiting. Amenities you wouldn’t normally find in the average barber shop. At age 61 you can tell in the first minute whether a barber knows their stuff. Thats how it was with Dana ...I knew in the first minute I was going to get a great cut and she came through with flying colors. Found a new place.. been bouncing around other barbers for several years now and was never impressed.Took my teenage daughter and 2 sons there after getting my nice cut, all 3 kids got great cuts my teenage daughter wanted a specific style, even brought in a photo, style came out just like the photo I have found a new place for the whole family to get cuts.

This barbershop is seriously awesome - Dana always know how to give me the cut I want, has a great music taste, and an awesome selection of beverages for when youre waiting.

There are quite a few barbershops along broad street and this one is by far the best. Great up to date and clean shop with an experience barberess and affordable prices. I don’t want to bad mouth the other shops in the area but this is the one I’ll be going back to.

Got a beard trim, looked good when I left the shop. The next day the beard looked all pricky and messy even my wife mentioned it to me. The reason it looks pricky is because she didn’t cut it evenly. Like someone else said in a review here, they’re hairdressers not barbers!

Messed up my boyfriends hair. Doesn’t know how to cut hair. Doesn’t know how to do a fade. She had to fix it 3 times and it still was terrible. Can’t do hairlines either. Stay away.

Bloomfield has many barbershops, but many of them feel stale - not this place. Feels clean and modern. Regarding the cut itself, Dayna asked how I preferred my hair and nailed it. First time here, but this will be my new spot.

If you want a real haircut from a real barber don’t go here, it’s all women!!! They didn’t even know what a skin fade was, I asked for a skin fade high and she looked at me and asked you mean like a 1 or a zero. I should’ve left when I heard that but I stayed and go one of the worst hair and beard cuts ever. These women are hairdressers NOT barbers!!!!
