My storage unit flooded and when I went to the office I was handed a paper with the insurance info and and told to call them because they had to deal with calling customers about the flood. I am a customer too that still need to continue paying for a flooded unit with all my items damaged. Employees should be trained in customer service as opposed to dismissing customers.

The flood situation has turned everything sideways and its taking too long to get organized I lost substantially and really have no idea how to proceed efficiently and salvage what I can. Been at it for 3 days and still going.

In terms of the place and ease of reservation is great. The customer service is good when you go to sign the contract. After that, the attitude of the person in the office changes dramatically and everything is handled as if you are bothering her. Also, one of the warehouse employees seems to have a lock of training in dealing with customers. They are always rushing you out even before (like 30 minutes before) the closing time. I think customer service is important in any service business. The good thing is that you dont have to deal with them if you have your own equipment to move your stuff into the storage unit. Other than that, price is great, and you are pretty much in control of your stuff.

Definitely would be filing an lawsuit when I move mail stuff out this Saturday I hope and pray my stuff are not damage

It is under new management and no noticeable improvements. Firstly, The monthly payment was adjusted without any notice/email or letter- not even a 30 day notice. The issue was not properly handled by employee when confronted. The storage use to smell Clean. Employees would be seen mopping, cleaning and etc. Now during covid one would think itll be improved for the better, but I have yet to witness a change. Overall its an ok storage unit, if renting for limited time or if its location and prices are convenient for your needs.

This is hands down the best storage I’ve dealt with. Fair pricing and the office staff is amazing they will go to great lengths to help you and accommodate your needs. Carol and shanteria are a pleasure to work with and there personality’s are welcoming.

The customer service that Ive received has been amazing. Very professional, very courteous.

Poor customer service. Do not rent a small space from them it’s not worth the amount of work you have to do to get to it. If you don’t drive it’s not worth it. The pedestrian door has been broken for some time and they do not plan to fix it. You have to walk to the back of the building. There is no bathroom on the premises. The lobby is rarely open. You have to call to get them to open the door. One day I had to wait for 20 minutes to get a cart because no one was there during regular business hours.Updated on 09/04 they raised the rent and started harassing people regularly via email and phone calls. Still no front access if you don’t have a car. I got three delinquency emails before I received a call about the water damage.

Great storage facility. The 2 females at the front desk were amazing. I appreciate the time the lady at the front spent answering my questions. However, this was a challenging move, as I had 3 mattresses and the building does not have a mattress cart. In addition, due to limited amount of flatbed carts, I had to wait for one to become available.ProsFacility is large, spacious and clean. Great prices too!Cons:Owner/MGMT buy more flatbed carts. The facility should have at least 6 carts total at the double doors , not just 3.Owner/MGMT buy 1-2 mattress carts, since there were not any.

IStorage in Bloomfield, NJ was overall a good experience. The staff were all polite, professional and overall wonderful people to deal with. They know their job and do their job well. The price was competitive, they accept business cards from business owners, they explained the insurance policies, the rules and regulations with the facility. So they did a wonderful job.The only thing I have an issue with, which has nothing to do with the staff, yet the business overall would be the time the storage facility closes. They close at 8pm. There is no access after that time which stinks. And as of now their bathrooms are not in service...smh. This stinks too.But like I said the staff in the Bloomfield office are overall wonderful people to deal with. I had storage there for about 6 months with no issues besides what I didnt like...lol. Thank you iStorage. Maybe you can have the storage close at 10pm instead. That would be better.

Ive been storing at this facility for at least three years. The reasons: 1) Its really convenient to get to by car, bus, or light rail. 2) The units are really spacious. 3) Its well-lit and feels safe. 4) The adjacent Staples and other stores are useful.My Mom just died and I had to return to my unit to search for some sentimental items. I met Vicki, the new manager. She was very helpful in explaining the new hours and new procedures to make the building even better for patrons. I finally found an old picture of my Mom that meant a lot to me. I was really happy to know my items were stored at Simply Self Storage.

I came to the iStorage Company in Bloomfield, NJ in hopes for finding a storage facility for my nonprofit organization. I was looking to partner with a storage facility. One day I came in and met the store manager, Asia. I told her my wishes and I was excited to find a place close to my home. She didn’t seem too friendly, nevertheless I still felt hopeful. She never returned my calls in response to my questions. I was hesitant in returning due to the lack of concern from the manager.Upon returning to the iStorage Bloomfield, NJ, I met Louis and Carol. Oh what a breath of fresh air. They are the reason why I decided to go forward with getting a unit. Their kindness and concern for my needs was greatly appreciated. The next day, I returned to rent another unit. One week later I returned to rent a third unit. Now having three units in a matter of two weeks. This was a lot. The district manager did have to correct something on my account but that’s it. She was pleasant. I’ve been trying to reach out to the general manager to see how we can partner together with my nonprofit organization. Let me say, this company has not shown any willingness to help or assist me in any way. I find it odd for a company to not want to help someone who is bringing a lot of business to them.Sadly, I will have to leave and take my business elsewhere. This company is not personable at all. I do appreciate the kind greeting I always get from Louis and Carol. Too bad they aren’t the property manager or even district manager. Kindness goes a long way.As for my star ratings: Louis and Carol get 5 stars. The iStorage company get 0 stars.
