My experience at this building and interactions with the Avalon team (Jonathan M. in particular) so far have been great. Even before I moved in, Jonathan has been extremely responsive and helpful with all my questions (and a previous Avalon associate Ana too), and that continues with the move-in process and onwards. Building is well maintained. Residents are friendly and respectful. Avalon and building management team are doing a very good job with ongoing communications. Neighborhood is safe, convenient and laid back. Highly recommend!

I’m so happy this place has been taken over by a new company 💃🏽Now I can only hope the residents there will get the care they both deserve and pay for!!! I worked there for two years and had become so disgusted with the care that I had to question my own morals and leave!!!!! I have heard good things about the new company but they need to throw away some old trash ( health and wellness nurse , administrator and start from scratch.

Have lived here for 3 years and this place is top notch. Perfect location - next to the train station with 25m train into NYC, 5 min drive from Montclair and close to the highways. Lots of parks around. Excellent staff and maintenance team - highly responsive and accommodating. The definition of 5 stars.

My boyfriend and I have lived here for 2 years and loved our experience so much. The maintenance team is awesome and they fix things in the apartment pretty much always same day which is excellent. Our apartment is beautiful and the community has really come a long way. We are moving only because we started a new school program so have to move to be closer to it.

Been living here for little over a year and although the location is great, it’s been frustrating living in the Avalon. The amenities have been closed due to covid and we never get any proper communication as to when it will open again. Summer is almost over and we have not heard anything. It would be nice if we got some sort or reimbursement or something but instead we get rent raises. For what ? The floors in the hallways are all lop sided & always dirty, the patio floors are out of date, nails are sticking out, other apartments in the area always have resident activities.. we get nothing. Not sure why we’re coughing up more money. If the other apartments in the area had open availability I would have moved but unfortunately I’m stuck another year at least.

My fiancé and I toured the community last week. We liked the location and enjoyed the community. Jonathan in the leasing office was professional, personable, and answered all our questions. We will keep this community in mind when making a final decision.

We just moved into Avalon a couple weeks ago with our dog and we couldn’t be happier. Everything from viewing the apartment, submitting an application, and finally moving in was seamless. The complex also follows covid precautions and masks are required as soon as you leave your apartment.Special shout-out to the leasing manager Christian, who is very personable and always willing to answer your questions very promptly.On our first night, we noticed our bedroom lights didn’t work and while we were out the following day, maintenance quickly replaced bulbs.We are very happy to call this place our home and are looking forward to our future here.

I have been living in this community for almost 6 years, one of the first few to have moved in when the building was ready. Very nice apartment and quiet environment. The management staffs are superb, maintenance requests are quickly resolved. I would recommend this place live in if looking for apartments in Bloomfield area.

Excellent Maintenance ServiceI live at Avalon Bloomfield Station. Last night (Saturday) I had an emergency involvingmy plumbing. A part of the bathtub spigot 🚰 broke and, as a result, I could notturn off the water. I called the 24/7 emergency maintenance line and someonewas here to fix the problem within about a half hour. With all the other goodfeatures of this place- location, shopping convenience, etc- the maintenance service,emergency or non-emergency, is excellent. I’ve never had to wait more than an hour orso even for non-emergency maintenance issues which, as far as I was concerned,could have waited till the next day; they were not urgent.

We have enjoyed our time living at Avalon Bloomfield Station. Christian and the maintenance staff are great- very responsive, friendly and helpful. The building has been very COVID-safe, and having an Amazon Hub and Foodtown on the ground level is really convenient, as is the proximity to the train. Lots of restaurants options nearby. Overall a great experience!

Visited a friend at the Avalon and the entire experience was delightful. Everyone was friendly and the ambiance reminded me more of a humble aboard than an apartment. The attention to detail was impeccable and the lobby was so clean you could walk around barefoot! My lease is up at the end of the summer and I cannot wait to make Avalon not just my next apartment but my next home.

Having Avalon Bay as our neighbor has been a great addition to Bloomfield Center. We have met many tenants who patronize our restaurant as well as the staff. I’m always one to engage people in conversation and am happy to see they love living in Bloomfield and at Avalon Bay. A huge compliment to Nav and Christian who are the nicest guys and do an amazing job running things at Avalon. We are so happy to have them as an important part of our community.

This is our second year at Avalon Bloomfield Station. We have only positive feelings about this apartments complex, location and of course the Staff. We moved here from Boston and both Christian and Octavia have always been very helpful! They always response very quickly to any our request. The maintenance staff is very responsive and highly professional people. We highly appreciate all work that was done by Luis and Jason, they are highly experienced technicians. Both helped us couple of times and did perfect work!

I just moved out of this place, lived there for a year due to a work related relocation. My experience here has been great! I would have definitely stayed longer.Things to highlight :1) Staff here is very responsive and helpful. Christian seems to run a tight ship, everyone is very welcoming and friendly from office staff to maintenance/cleaning crew!2) Move-in / Move-out as well as day-to-day experience was great as well. No hassle, very easy to do things online which made COVID related issues a non-issue as I was doing most things online anyways when I needed it. Maintenance was always taken care of very quickly however minor it was. Which brings last positive to highlight..3) I think they handled COVID crisis (on-going now) very well (and is doing so now). Cleaning and disinfecting effort has been very thorough, communications has been continuous and clear (social distancing steps, information on building sanitation, monitoring and following guidelines like CDC guidelines as things develop). I actually own a single family home which is vacant and considered moving back in but did not feel that it was necessary even though this place was multi-dwelling unit.Thanks for the great year! I would recommend this place if you are looking for convenient (train station right across the street and restaurants and grocery store right downstairs) & well maintained place to call home.

Ive had a great experience living at Avalon Bloomfield Station. The staff is extremely prompt and have frequently gone above and beyond to help me out. Andrew in particular has gone out of his way to help me out on several occasions, including retrieving my cell phone when I clumsily threw it down the trash chute. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience living here.

I love living here! The apartment complex is great and any time I need anything (like today I had to get a light fixed) Luis and Anthony from the maintenance staff are super friendly and quick to assist. The entire staff and building is wonderful!

This review is for Ariel Guzman who doesnt work all the time at the Avalon Bloomfield but was in the office when I needed to come in and inquire about extra storage units. I found his demeanor friendlier and more personable than that of anyone else who works in the leasing office (not that Christian hasnt been cordial, he most definitely is pleasant and professional) and he made me feel quite at ease. He even went the extra mile to come up to my apartment and deliver the keys to me the same day when I was prepared to have to wait for them whilst management tied up any loose ends. I can access both my storage units which will be useful and I was glad to get it done so quickly and with such nice service. I hope to see Ariel in the office again.

Very helpful, prompt and pleasant staff. Repair requests get completed fast. They go above and beyond to help; for example, dropped my keys in the elevator (believe it or not) shaft, and they were retrieved for me within an hour... great people!

Ive been a resident of Avalon Bloomfield for three years, and I must say that the maintenance service is top notch. Very seldom do I have to put in a service request but when I do, the service is immediate, professional and well done. I especially want to shout out Jason Ferguson (Maintenance) and Octavia (Leasing Office) for their prompt, professional, courteous and thorough work. I was a resident at Avalon Bloomfield Station for 3 GREAT years!! Everyone was AMAZING from day 1 until the day I moved out! The maintenance staff was responsive and professional. This apartment is perfectly located among cool restaurants and bars, local shopping, and transportation to NYC. We have PLENTY of space in our one-bedroom apartment. We love the outdoor patio and grill, especially in the summer months. Parking is also very reasonable and incredibly convenient. We even down-sized to one car because of the convenience of the train and grocery store, to name a few. Quarterly resident events help transplants meet others and foster positive relationships among all residents. The management team is incredibly friendly and very responsive. I would highly recommend renting at Avalon Bloomfield Station

Recently moved into this wonderful community. The front office team or Christian and Nav are highly tenant focused and very responsive. Recently requested the referral to an electrician who could install 2 ceiling flush mount lights in two bedrooms expecting to pay ~$175/hour and they arranged for one of their maintenance personal to do it for free! Cant recommend this community enough to anyone considering a move here. I am recently divorced and this community is a pleasant mix of singles, couples and families.

The staff is fantastic, kind, and really helpful at Avalon Bloomfield Station. The office staff (Kerri, Christian, Pierre) always greet us with a smile and they are so sweet to my daughter. Jason and Luis are always helpful and really quick to respond to any requests we may have. They both go above and beyond to make sure were comfortable here. Everyone here is professional and trustworthy. If someone says theyre going to do something, you can rest assured it will be taken care of.

Been living here for almost 2 yrs and I can truly say Im beyond happy with the leasing office staff both Christian and Octavia are beyond helpful and understanding, along with the maintenance staff are always a call away, I lost my apartment keys at 3am and within 10 min I had a maintenance staff member Jason respond with no issues what so ever! The building is clean, other residents are extremely nice and understanding. Unfortunately do to work related reasons Ill be relocating to another avalon but Im truly going to miss this place for sure. We love our apartment and having a balcony is definitely an added bonus. Our apartment is beautiful. Since day 1, Christin Ortiz has been extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. He made the move in process very delightful.We love that it’s a pet friendly community. Our Elmo is very well adjusted to his new home. There are places to walk him outside, and the park is a short walk from the building. Having the food town downstairs, and being so close to restaurants and highways is definitely an added bonus. Everything is so convenient. The maintence turn around time and staff is great. They are all very friendly. We’ve never had an issue with parking. We are overall very happy living here.

This is the 2nd Avalon community I have lived at and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company, location and staff. We moved here from CA this past summer, and Christian and Octavia have always been SO helpful! They respond quickly to any issues and fix them right away (though theyve only been minor, such as thermostat repair). Neighbors are super friendly and being able to have our dog is a huge benefit to living at any Avalon!

Luis is always helpful and happy. You can see he really likes his job. This is our 4th year here and whenever we need maintenance they are efficient.Christian and Octavia are really great at their jobs. They are always friendly, empathic and willing to help. Avalon made a good choice to have them.Although this isnt Avalon, I wish the parking lot could be better and not such a fire hazard with only 1 side to exit and 70% of the time the arm/exit mechanism is broken.Also drivers really speeding in the lot. I was almost run over a few times not to mention missing some head on collisions once I am in my car. I have also witnessed it happening to other residents and commuters.

Weve lived here for over a year now and we love it! The apartment is beautiful and the leasing and maintenance staff here are just amazing. Love, love, love that we are across the street from train station - no noise issues here. Its wonderful having a grocery store and good restaurants on the first floor. Parking is a breeze. The amenities are top notch and rent is entirely reasonable.

Walked in with my family to inquire about renting a 2 bedroom apartment. The woman sitting in the leasing office didn’t care to stand up and greet us and promptly informed us that she won’t show us an apartment without an appointment. Business must be really good when you let people walk away like that. Not offering to follow up or take our information. We will take our business elsewhere!

Looking to sign a lease today. Octavia in the leasing office couldnt have been nastier. She gave a level of service one would expect from the department of motor vehicles. She was nasty over the phone and nasty in person. Refused to give a 5 min tour. Its unfortunate, would have probably signed the lease right then and there. I wont be back. Hopefully Avalon will find more professional agents for the leasing office.

If you need a cozy, youthful and elegant place to live, looks no further! Avalon bloomfield is the place to be! I have been living here for more than two years and am beyond satisfied with the service, punctuality and professionalism shown by the staff. Christian Ortiz made me feel very comfortable and walked me through the process for leasing my first apartment! I have absolutely zero complaints! I work in the city and could not asked for a better place to live. The train station is only a few steps away and buses to nyc are five short minutes away! Come on over and experience the kind of service and attention to detail you will not find anywhere else!

Just moved in. I have been here less than a month and already this place feels like home. I have had to contact the office and even submit a minor service request, they respond and follow up very quickly. Three people that have been incredibly helpful so far: Christian, Pierre and Jason. They have been sincere and friendly and their attentiveness is greatly appreciated.

My sister and I have been here for almost a year now, and without a doubt the maintenance staff, the leasing staff, and any and all of the managerial staff in coordination with Avalon Bloomfield Station have been wonderful.Specifically the maintenance staff, they are quick to respond to problems in the amenity areas and extremely quick with any personal problems within my apartment. Everyone is kind, efficient, considerate and great at what they do! Be cautious, dont assume what you are being told is completely accurate and read all the fine print yourself. You are simply a number and they are a business. This is not the type of place that will look out for your best interest - this is my opinion based on my experience. Weve moved out within the first 30 days.

If you care about sleeping peacefully at 12am do not live here. The bar downstairs has bike night every Thursday (and whenever they feel like it). Motorcycles are constantly blaring their engines, riding up and down the side walk. Management tells you to call police instead of dealing with the bar which is their tenant also. Residents cant do much more than stand on their balconies with their phones recording hoping to get out of their lease.

Just moved in, could not be happier! We moved here because the rent is reasonable and affordable. The apartment is amazing, everything is brand new and those living here keep the halls clean and the environment friendly and quiet. We face the train station and there is NO NOISE, but having that proximity for the train to get to work in Hoboken (or NYC) is seamless and easy. Parking is inexpensive and easy. Having the grocery store below makes this location even more desirable.

I had previously lived in Montclair and I am happy to be going on my 2nd year here at the Avalon Bloomfield Station. The location is extremely convenient to the Parkway for commutes to NYC as well as the other surrounding cities.We are across the street from NJ Transit and walking distance to several fine restaurants, fast food and convenience stores, and there are a couple of parks close-by. The Foodtown Market is on the ground level of our building and having a gym, community room and roof top amenities are fantastic. All that to say that living here has truly been convenient!Lastly, Christian, Nav and the staff have been very professional and responsive to any of our needs since living here.

Conveniently located in a fairly quiet neighborhood. Transportation to the city is a stones throw away. Other conveniences include a supermarket, urgent care facility and restaurants all within the two buildings footprint.Best thing... I love my neighbors!

Property management team at Avalon Bloomfield Station are very attentive and accommodating. Maintenance requests are handled swiftly.Amenities are a quite nice and well-maintained. Building is very secure and safe. Great place to live.

I would never recommend this place to anyone I know. This building, management and even virtual offices disappointed us at every stage in the process, including when trying to get our security deposit back.Its a convenient solve if you need an easy place to commute to and from the city, but save yourself the disappointment and frustration.

The Avalon maintenance staff is exceptional! They respond very quickly and always take care of whatever I need help fixing. They are also great people and very accommodating to requests.

Aside from the amenities and gorgeous interior, the other positive aspect about this place is the superb staff. I have relatively high standards and im definitely not an easy person to impress but Kari (the Community Manager) had me sold in less than 15 minutes. The studio I ended up with had a lovely balcony (which is not available in all studios) so I was really lucky. I must also give credit to the other exceptional staffers: Octavia**** & Christian (the community consultants) for making me feel welcome, as well as the technical staff: Luis & Jason (for the exceptional maintenance service requests). My new neighbors are okay; theyre quite social yet courteous and cognizant of respecting other residents boundaries and their privacy.

Rent is too high. You can find an apartment in Manhattan and skip the commuting costs altogether. The train is over crowded and you often end up standing on the 45min ride to work. The morning commute is not as fast as they would like you to think. The finishes in the units are very cheap and flimsy. The office is understaffed and while Pierre does a great job of communicating with residents and making the living experience as pleasant as possible, I do not have the same experience with management. It is difficult to reach anyone in off peak hours if you have a question or concern. The gym in the building never has wipes available to wipe down the machines and the elevators are always broken. Lastly, packages are strewn about in the lobbies at the back of the building as there really is no where for them to go. At least they have finally managed to coordinate with the post office and have them inside the locked door instead of the open vestibule accessible to anyone off the street.The location isnt bad and the amenities below the building are nice but there are still too many draw backs.

Ill start by saying the apartment itself is great. No complaints. Super cheap utilities and good maintenance team. NYC commute cannot be beat.Do be aware you are getting an apartment in a municipal parking garage complex. Apartment management has little if any control of anything outside the door of the building. If you have a nervous dog - stay away. Very loud and chaotic area especially during rush hour. Building has businesses - the bars at the far end tend to have outside partiers on weekends. One of the businesses is a hooters-like restaurant, FYI.

This building is a so call luxury building and the prices are definitely luxury for bloomfield, but you will not have the luxury experience.1) Sometimes the trash is not taken out for days and you can smell it in the hallway.2) Also, depending on which side on the building you live in you will hear the train every hour or so, starting around 5am in the morning.3) The floors are very very thin, so you can hear every step the person above you take.4) There are some questionable people living in the building, I have seen an open container of Chinese food sitting in the hallway for a day or two5) Finally, consider your security deposit a donation to Avalon, alone with your $500 amenities fee, because no matter what condition you leave your apartment in, they will find a way to take it .6) Also, your packages are not safe, so be sure to be home for all of your deliveries.7) The only positive are the people who work in the leasing office, they are very nice and helpful..

This is a great building with wonderful ammentities and a wonderful staff. Christian Ortiz, who is in the leasing office, is a real professional and has made my move into the community a seamless one. Maitenance is always very receptive and the services the busking provides are second to none. I moved here From NYC and my experience this far has been incredible.

Just recently moved out of this location to the Avalon Piscataway location for personal reasons. My one year at the Avalon Bloomfield was exceptional. It is in a great location if you are commuting to the city or Newark. At first, I was skeptical about not having much to do in the area, but there are plenty of nearby establishments that quickly became a way to meet new people and build a sense of community (would highly recommend The Wooden Spoon just across the street). Nearby Montclair is also easily accessible and I really enjoyed dinners out at the highly-rated restaurants there on weekends. Its also hard to beat having the Foodtown right on the ground floor.The apartment was spacious, beautiful, and essentially what you see in the photos. I didnt feel like anything was misrepresented in pictures.The staff was fantastic. Octavia and Christian are both great office staff who know how to find the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. I certainly felt like I was in good hands during my time there. Also, the only maintenance issue I ever had was with a broken thermostat, but I was able to submit an emergency request for it after hours and it was resolved that very evening. Would recommend.

Jason is a great help for all maintenance issues!! Overall, this is a really great community. The office staff are extremely kind and on top of things.

Asked for a tour since im looking to move into the area and when i met chris he was very professional and explained everything from within the building to what surrounding entertainment was available the apartments are wonderful must go see and ask for chris if you want great customer service

The apartments in this rather high-priced rental building are very good in certain respects (soundproofing, size, security, privacy cleanliness, maintenance, staff), and it is within very short distances from public transportation like the train and buses. However, carpets, cabinets and kitchen facilities are cheap for the price of rental. I recommend Avalon-Bloomfield Station, but not as whole-heartedly as I might if the cabinetry, kitchen appliances, floors were a bit higher in quality, given the cost of the rents. Also, parking, while not a problem, costs $75 per slot, but it is in a city garage, so it could be a problem in the Winter. One very important benefit, however, is that the building has an excellent supermarket, whihc is quite convenient.

My wife and I, long time Manhattanites, recently made our plunge into the suburbs. I was terrified about leaving the conveniences of the city and my short commute to work. Rest assured finding the Avalon Bloomfield Station has helped us to feel much more confident about being out of NYC. Super close to Montclair without the high taxes and a great up and coming area with literally all you need in the building (gym, lounge, parking on-site, grocery, liquor/beer, and restaurants in the retails space). There was a little snafu with our move in regarding where our moving truck could park. We were yet again impressed by Christian Ortiz, the Community Consultant (who helped us get our space), and his team in not only resolving this but going above and beyond. Thanks for the surprise dinner Christian!

My wife and I have been living here for about a month now and enjoy the convenience of the local stores throughout the area. Since I work in the city, (Manhattan/Brooklyn) the train station is the main reason we decided to move here. Why did I give this a 4 star instead of a 5 star is because of the local traffic and the noise level. It is nice being close to the Fire/Police department, but when something is going down in the Bloomfield area you will know about because of the siren. On the other hand, if I need immediate assistance I know help is very close.The PROS: Jacks Food town, Tilted Kilt, Verizon Wireless, ETC... Police/Fire Department. Powerhouse Gym literally a quarter mile walk, Watsessing Park, H&R Block, 2 Chinese takeout restaurants, State Street Diner and many more to chose from and of course NJ Transit Bloomfield StationThe CONS: The noise level during rush hour traffic. Police/Fire sirens in the middle of the night and of course the vehicular traffic.Other then that seems like a pretty solid place to reside if you are a city worker and enjoy the convenience of the local stores.

Dont move here! The train is so loud and the people above us literally walk like elephants! Management sucks. They do nothing about the tilted kilt noise and the motor cycle noise at allHours. Pierre is great but hes just one person that addresses issues. I got stuck in the elevator two days ago and its been out of order again for two days. Its redicilous and they have the nerve to raise our rent another $200! We already pay $3150.00 which is too much for what we have. Our lease is up Nov. 15th. Looking for a new lace now!!!

The Avalon Bloomfield Station is an amazing community to live in. Starting with the great location seconds from Bloomfield station and the restaurants in the streets. Everything is so convenient! The foodtown supermarket is downstairs and it has many organic and fresh products. We found stuff over here that are hardly found in other supermarkets. The leasing staff is wonderful, whenever I pass the front gate, I still get smiles and greetings from Christian. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions before and after moving in. The move in process was super easy and took only 3 hours. The ameneties are top notch. Its like owning another apartment downstairs where you can chill, meet with friends and family, grill, play some pool, arcades, watch TV, dine, or excercise! The parking is spacious with plenty of empty spaces. We have a one bedroom ~750 square feet. The apartment was super clean except for the flooring which had some unwashable marks, we are atill struggling to take them out. Additionaly, it would be super convenient to have a mail office downstairs for packages. Most of our deliveries are left in the floor and sometimes in an unsafe area. But, I havent got any problems so far, since cameras are located everywhere inside the building. The noise level is very nice and we are very happy with it. Some footsteps heard from residents above us, but it is not a major issue. Never heard bikes or music outside after 8 pm. We are surprised that this place is rated 3.8 it should get a minimum of 4.5.We love it! And we hope it doesnt get too pricey when we extend our lease for the next 5 years!

A very good place to live.

Noise from the bar downstairs is getting progressively worse. Almost impossible to get a good nights sleep with the loud music playing into the early morning hours.

Comfortable and most of all convenient!
