Additionally, their people are great to work with, very friendly and fun.Ive worked with many of them over the past year being a member of their parent company, Nordstern Group. Ive seen first hand their dedication to their employees, their customers and their business through improvement projects weve worked on together. Over the past couple of years I have had an opportunity to work with Sure Cast Foundry and meet with their production staff and managers. They are a great group of people and very easy to get along with. The production staff are comfortable going to the managers with any concerns they may have, and it is great to see managers listen to those concerns and address the issues.From my perspective the relationship between the production staff and the managers, as well as the overall culture of the organization is something to emulate and admire.

I have been astonished by the amount of effort, energy and teamwork that goes into every raw cast. Errors have been made in the past and under the new owner, I see nothing but change. I am grateful to be part of the Sure Cast team.

I feel like this is a great place to work. Most all of the employees have been working at Sure Cast for 10-25 years. Everyone takes great pride in their work and it shows! Friendly and positive attitude throughout.

We appreciate the comments made by previous reviewers. The points are well received. We value all feedback and we constantly challenge ourselves to make things better. As of nine months ago, this company has been under new ownership and management. We have already remodeled and improved the lunchroom, change room and all the employee bathrooms. Employee benefits and employee relations have also greatly improved. To understand where Sure Cast is headed it would make sense to look at the other companies under the same ownership. For example, Custom Castings in Winnipeg is also under the same ownership as Sure Cast. Custom Castings is a world class foundry regarding safety, quality and employee relations. The new owners are committed to getting Sure Cast to the same level as Custom Castings. Many more significant improvements are currently underway regarding safety and employee benefits.

Ive jobbed out small production runs to Sure Cast and find them easy to work with and reasonably priced. I dropped off my match plate and had the items shipped to me. Not too many modern foundries will work with small runs anymore. EDIT, as it turns out, they ended up misplacing or losing the match plate that I mentioned earlier. The prior owner told me they threw a lot of patterns away. And the current manager says hes got no paper record of ever having it yet during the same conversation tells me theyve got pictures of it. If you do business with them, dont trust them with your patterns for periodic production runs. Pick you pattern up each time. Having your name on your pattern and having a specially built box for it doesnt matter at this business.
