TechPad is a co-working space located in downtown Blacksburg giving you easy access to all of the downtown restaurants and entertainment options. There are options for a one-person shop as well as private offices that can accommodate larger companies. The space itself has a lively atmosphere with many different companies intermingling and exchanging ideas. Its a good mix of new ideas and know-how.
Great place to be. Everyone is nice and genuinely interested in what work others are doing.
Awesome place to work, located in the middle of downtown, and great work environment.
There seems to be a huge disconnect between TechPads talk and their actions.TechPad purports to be a mentoring program, but nothing is free. VTKnowledgeWorks provides many of the same services at the same or better price, with much more interesting and kind people, so if you need a place to work, consider their space. My biggest complaint is how TechPad suckered all of Blacksburg into donating money to bringing the Gigabit to Blacksburg--funny how the only network that runs is the private network that the owner of TechPad uses--oh, and the one for the bar he also owns! I myself donated money, buying into the fact Aneesh Chopra was backing it as well, as well as some of the guys from Rackspace, but I guess we were all fools. If you can avoid doing business with TechPad, do so--like I said, theres a lot of talk there, but youll always pay a price.
Nice space for budding entrepreneurs.
