I have been a customer of this agency since 2004. After waiting two weeks for a return call (my husband followed up after a week), I will be moving our business to another agency. The service has been declining over the last few years - they no longer answer the phone and messages left on the answering machine are not returned.

Run away! Ive had business with this agency for years. Until this year things were fine. I dont say great because communication isnt always good. Now they wont return my phone calls, answer my concerns or answer the phone for that matter. In an age of everything is digital its embarrassing that an agency can seem to care so little about the needs of their clients.

Never had any issues from this office. Quick responses to calls and emails. Office staff goes above and beyond to make sure customers needs are met!

I had renters insurance through this office. I didnt have to file a claim (luckily), but the office staff was friendly and paying online was easy and competitively priced.

They have never asked if they could help or go over my policies with me in 15 years transfered my policies to another agent in Blacksburg. Even told they couldnt compete with USAA let me know if I wanted them to drop my policies

I hardly leave negative reviews but I am extremely frustrated with this statefarm agency.I have moved from multiple states so Im very aware of what I need to do in order to transfer both my renters insurance policy and my vehicle policy. I came in immediately after moving to Blacksburg to get everything completed that I need to do in office. I signed all paperwork I was required to and followed up in an email.It wasnt until I made a phone call to State Farm this weekend that I was notified I had not had a policy for the last 3 months. No notifications for phone call email or in the mail.What makes it even more frustrating is that the individual working instead of acting that she was very sorry this happened and was willing to help with more nonchalant and had an attitude when she was trying to explain it to me. I was very upfront with her and let her know that I was frustrated and instead of showing me some kind of courtesy to make sure that I received excellent customer service she rolled her eyes that she was annoyed speaking with me.I have been a loyal State Farm customer for years and its dealing with a specific individual people like this that would make me want to change my provider at any time.

AVOID! I had unbelievably horrible service from this agency. Tried to reach them for an urgent matter. They had supposedly written an auto and home policy for me a few weeks before, but I had learned the policies were not in effect. I was basically driving without any insurance and had not been notified that the policy hadnt been written. I began calling them at 4:00PM on a Friday, which was within their published business hours. I got the voice mail and left a message indicating it was an urgent matter. There was NO other way to reach Charles Tilson or the other agents of the firm. No email addresses, no after hours number, no cell phones. I called throughout the weekend and left messages. On Monday -- no one returned my calls. I left more messages. No response. NONE. How on earth are they in business????? I finally reached a live human on the phone on Tuesday and she seemed completely inept. She didnt seem to be aware of the messages I had left. ????? Meanwhile, I also called national State Farm and got their 24-hour hotline, but was told I had to go through my local agent. This is an archaic way to run a business in 2018. We dropped this State Farm policy and went with Geico for both home and auto. With Geico, there isnt this bizarrely outdated local agent middle-man system and I can reach someone anytime, any day.Remove review

Honestly the worst State Farm agency in the town of Blacksburg! They are no help at all. They dont care about their customers at all and they have very little respect and they make the mistake and then we end up paying for it.
