My dog died here due to neglect. I brought her in several times in the months leading up to her dying and the male vet completely ignored all of my concerns. When she died she was at their hospital for observation ironically no one was even there until it was too late. They called us in the morning telling us she had died. When we came to pick up her body they handed us a box. It looked too small to fit her. I opened it and she was stuffed inside. The box was so small she was bent awkwardly to even fit. No one seemed to care. Just another dead dog to them. Then almost 2 months later I received a bill in the mail for over $400. I was already upset this just topped it off. I dont know what they even did for her besides abandon her in a crate, call us when it was already too late and stuff her in a small box. I regret ever even considering this vet office. Our sweet dog could still be alive if the vet would have listened to me months before she died. If you want your dog or cat to live a healthy life please find a different vet that actually cares about small animals and treats them like the family members that they are.

My family has been taking our pets to this clinic sense I was 5. I am now 32 and so completely disappointed in the staff and vet. I would not recommend them to anyone. Its so sad after a lifetime of being their customer but they do not care about the animals. I called for a perscription for my dog 2 weeks ago. They told me it was sent into the pharmacy and left the office early on Friday. The perscription never made it to the pharmacy so I had to call a local vet who did not have the correct doseage for my dog. Then when called later for the same refill it was never sent in. The pharmacy had to call them just for them to clarify that there was a perscription. Its just ridiculous the hoops to jump through and how long it takes to get a answer. I would have gladly drove the 2 hours to the clinic if I was simply informed that the pharmacy did not have the correct doseage but instead they play phone tag and it took me 2 weeks to get a answer. Yeah.. they care alot...Not to mention viewing the reviews on this site they take absolutely zero accountability for mistake or rude staff. It seems to always be the customers fault... I hope they change staff and ways . Its sad to see a company like this go so very far down hill.

I couldnt ask for better care for my fur babies!! I absolutely trust AHC with my animals. Dr. Moulton was so willing and caring to go in after hours for an emergency with my Zola girl and I appreciate it so much!! I highly recommend AHC.

Its nice when my dog is so comfortable she doesnt cry, bark,or whine when they have her for shots , nails clipped and even the veterinarian has to hold her for a few minutes before we go cause shes so cute and good

Best veterinarians in all Southeastern Idaho. And let me tell you Ive been to all of them almost here. They care about your animals because they are true animal people. The vets in the Pocatello area arent true animal people as far as Im concerned All theyre in it is for the money as they charge at least three times more than any place else Ive ever been to and Im originally from Washington State.

What a great place. We took our 13.5 yr old lab to see Dr. Jacobsen a few weeks back and our dog ended up needed pretty major surgery. We werent sure if she was going to come home. Dr. Jacobsen was up front and honest with us during the whole process. Our dog pulled through with flying colors and is doing so much better than anyone expected... Now comes our horse...our horse was having some issues so we called the Animal Health Clinic and they told us to bring him in and they will look at him when they get a chance. They kept us informed along the way and 2 days later hes home, healthy and happy. The entire staff is AWESOME!!! We moved here back in September and we can now say we have our vet!! They treat our pets like they are their own. We cant thank them enough for all that they have done. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

The vet here who takes care of the animals is good however the receptionist or desk help every time I have called puts me on hold for 10 minutes or more. They are as bad as calling the veterans clinic services. Their customers service was poor.

Had a emergency late night call for my dog that was giving birth that had a puppy stuck inside her and couldn’t get it out with others behind it. So I Called the clinic and talked to Dr. Moulton. So I scheduled a emergency appointment and tried to get in there as soon as possible . Dr. Moulton Saved all puppies except for one which that happens. The mother and other puppies are doing great (5 stars )for Mr. moulton, and the 2 vet assistance there helping him,, thank you very much for saving my dogs life and puppies. 👍

I have been taking my dog here for the last 10 years. She always gets the best care possible. They will always tell you their professional opinions and always make time to figure out what is wrong. Won’t ever take any of my pets to anyone else. All of the doctors are great! Dr. Moulton always takes the time to explain everything to me. Having an old dog, it is so refreshing to have a vet who cares!

Absolutely amazing! Even during this pandemic they were able to get both of my puppies in for an emergency. The technicians and Doctor Jacobsen explained everything that was happening and reassured us that everything was going to be okay. The veterinarians here are top-notch, very easy to work with and they dont rush you. They are conscious of pricing and make sure youre aware of the costs of procedures and that you know your options. I feel that they actually care about animals, and are thorough in their examinations.

I wanted to take a moment, and thank Dr. Jacobsen & Dr. Meisner (and all the office staff) both for taking such wonderful care of our dog Bella. Bella had been battling multiple health issues, since October of last year. We live in Pocatello, but heard so many wonderful things about Animal Health Clinic in Blackfoot. We made the trip there, when Bella first started exhibiting health problems.First of all, the office staff was so courteous and caring, and answered any questions we had. I was very impressed with that. Our first appointment was with Dr. Meisner, and then we also saw Dr Jacobsen for a follow up. We continued to see both doctors for Bella’s ongoing treatment. They were both professional, but more importantly “caring”, and it showed in their attitude.Unfortunately, Bella passed away at home recently. We were very sad to lose her, but I am 100 percent confident that Animal Health Clinic did everything they could to treat, and assist Bella as much as possible.My family and I will continue to use Animal Health Clinic, in the future for all of our pets. To us, it’s well worth the drive from Pocatello, because we have experienced care and professionalism, we haven’t seen in local clinics.We HIGHLY recommend Animal Health ClinicThank you!SincerelyJarrod M. Very clean and nice animal hospital. I brought my cat up to get him neutered. They took good care of him and did the surgery for free because he was from the shelter. Good deal!

These people are the sweetest most understanding Vet I have been too. When my German Shepherd got a really bad infection they were able to talk me through on what to do when calling the Vet on call and when I took her in once they opened they could tell I was crying and broke everything that might have happened and what to do. Even hooked us up with some soft dog food since she was so swollen. HIGHLY recommend. The price wasnt that bad either. Coming from Reno, NV I expected at least $300-500 Vet bill I think it was barely like $70-$80.

WORST PLACE EVER !!! My puppy was going to DIE !I went there to get him neutered he was weak wouldn’t eat or drink and kept on vomiting.He wouldn’t even want to take his pain killers! What made me worry that he didn’t have any bowl movement for 3 days since the surgery toke him to another doctor and after getting X-rayed they found that while he was doing the surgery he sewed the part where he can urinate and all his urine in his stomach and if i didn’t take him sooner he would have died !Very disappointed and will never recommend or even think of going there ever again!

Unfortunately, I will never bring my pets here again. The experience I underwent was not even close to as pleasant as the other reviews.My cat had been spade at this clinic and had to spend an extra night longer due to her chewing out her sutures. No one called me prior to let me know of this. I had went to pick her up and left without her. I asked if they would call the next day when she was ready to be picked up. By 230 the next day, I had heard nothing. I called them Oh yeah shes ready to go- perplexed that no one had called as I requested. I brought her home and she was out of sorts which I expected. The next morning I came home from work and decided to look at her incision. It was coming open. I took her back. The woman at the desk was less than enthused (by the tone of her voice and the manner in which she announced my cat was back). They called my cat naughty several times die to her somehow removing her sutures...with a cone around her neck! Yes, somehow my car defied physics and was able to once again open her incision equipped with a cone. I was told by staff we have never had a cat do this before...a dog yes...but not a cat. Oh, bravo for making a pet owner feel like their pet is some delinquent and a trouble maker. The incision was stapled closed. I (being a nurse) removed the staples myself because I was NOT taking her back to endure more ridicule. This is a cat I found dumped as a kitten. This very naughty cat would be dead had I not took her in. I will be taking both of my pets elsewhere.

Never been there. Called on 12/26 for appointment. The receptionist who answered the phone was very rude at 8:05 am. I Asked if my dogs issue could wait for a day until I could get in. Said it was up to me. Was not helpful at all. Made me wonder how good of a clinic they actually were. Could have gave a little advice. Good way to turn away potential clients.

Tried to get my sick dog in for an appt. earliest they had was 2 1/2 days later. After appointment my dog was not doing well, called at 11:36 am and asked receptionist to have vet call or text me. After more than 24 hrs still have not heard from anyone. My son called to see if we could get him in again ( this was Thursday afternoon). They said not til Monday at 4???? We called alameda pet hospital in Pocatello at 4:30 pm. They said bring him in now! If you don’t want me as a client say so! I will take all my business elsewhere. Just don’t play juvenile games.

We loved this place! I was very comfortable w Dr.M and all of his staff. They got us in the day we called, and Dr.M and his staff figured out what was wrong w our dog Caesar. I wont take Caesar anywhere else, and I come from pocatello. The secretary was worried about caesar u guys! Everybody that works there loves all animals and do the best they can. Thanxs Dr.M for taking care of Caesar!

Brought my dog in for allergies. Dr.Slosar was excellent and very kind! They are very up on new things and were able to help with a new shot so he will stop itching!

Love this place, no matter what, if theres an emergency, I can get my animals seen, Dr Jacobsen is awesome, Dr Moulton is too. And the newer vet, Dr Wahel (spelled wrong) is great too. Ive been treated so well and they totally understand my animals ❤️❤️

My precious sabrina went to the vet to get spayed. They did not want to meet with me to do an exam of the cat they just wanted me to drop the cat off and leave so I did because I trusted them. When I got off work drove back to blackfoot to pick HER up. They asked me to pay extra for a pain injection which I gladly did... they bring the cat out and then tell me right before i leave that the cat is now Mr sebastianhowever they didnt notice his balls until after they cut his belly open. They did not call to notify me so they just neutered him. He is pure bred Persian! They neutered him with out my permission. They got defensive and blamed me because I put female on the paper...well I bought this very expensive furry beautiful cat as a female and I never questioned the sex of the cat.I asked well who shaved the cat?how did that person not notice? They again blamed me and said well his balls are huge how did you as an owner not know? Surgery went bad....He got infected so bad he had to get tubes put in his belly to drain the infection plus pain meds and and antibiotics. Numerous vet visits and now almost 1 month Later we are able to take his cone off. Thank God for alpine animal clinic in Pocatello who helped save his life. I called asking for a manager and they promised a call back but of course that never happened.

Wish I could input 0 stars. I’ve really tried to like Dr Moulton, but I don’t know if I’ve EVER tried working with a Dr who cares so little. He supposedly did surgery on my golden doodle, and my dog has been significantly worse since he had the misfortune of going to that clinic. He’s worse than he was before torn ACL surgery, and there’s been at least 5 timed I’ve called in and received no call back, waiting DAYS for one. When I had the Dr look at my dog’s continued ACL issues (6ish months later) I was told it is just arthritis. Well, it’s a REALLY funny arthritis, it only hurts him when he uses his leg. Sure wish MY arthritis only hurt when I used my hand!! I called in for pain/inflammation meds and 3 business (5 actual) days later, still nothing. When I called back to the front office,they sang the “he’s really busy blues”. Just like all the other times he hasn’t return my calls.Do yourself and your poor pet a favor and find a vet that actually cares about your animal! Dr. M is great until he gets your $$$$$. (AKA he’s nice to your face, behind your back ???)Update: Took dog to an honest vet, and he found out that the first surgery was done incorrectly, at the wrong angle, causing my dog to continually limp. Had surgery done to correct Dr M’s mistakes and now he’s walking on it 24/7, but in surgery they found out Moulton unnecessarily stripped out his meniscus, and my dog has bone on bone, thanks to Dr M and his inept’surgery’! Really frustrated at what he put my dog and us through, just to get 1000.00 from us. I feel robbed!

We were traveling home from Jackson Hole on a Sunday. Our sweet little Boston Terrior seizures massively continued every 2 minutes. We had to make the hardest decision ever. We googled a local vet and Dr. Moultons clinic came up. We called him and he talked us through how to get to his clinic and met us their immediately. He gave us our options and let us make the difficult decision. He was so sweet and understanding! Our little sweetheart was taken care of in the sweetest arms and clinic. I 100% recommend Dr. Moulton and his clinic! Thank you!!!!!

This is the best place to take your pets ,..awesome staff, fair prices and just a warm welcoming place ,..I moved to Blackfoot and my 2nd day in new home my girlfriends puppy (beacon) was not looking good ,she called and they said to bring him right down,.. No questions askes about payment ,..asked only about puopy,..had to leave him overnight but first thing vet called next morning, explained his illness and when we went to pick him up,.. Lets just say I was amazed at what they charged way lower than I expected,.. I tell everyone that I know or meet with pets to definitly go here,.. There is no better animal clinic /vet care in this area than right here!!!
