Brought in three brand new Italian Leather belts worth over $400 to have resized. Gave Frank Sr. an original belt to size for all three (38-in,95 cm). Frank asked about waist size. Told him 36-inch. Anyone in the professional belt industry knows you size them up to a 38-inch (even with a given belt to measure from). All three belts were cut to 36-inch with no extra length. Basically useless for a 36-inch waist and out alot of money. Frank Jr. very polite, however Sr. not very pleasant. No professionalism on making the error correct or refund. Will never recommend or go back.

They help me take care of my shoes and boots. Some of them are even better after service from this good shop. Good supply of shoelaces. Always a pleasant experience. I was a little boy when I first walked into this business. They excel at what they do.

I have never had worse customer service in my life. This old man not sure if he is Frank but he was extremely disrespectful and rude. The way he talked to me i have never had anyone disrespect me in such a way. He toldMe the show would be ready as early as tomorrow. I come to pick up the shoe, i didnt have the ticket number and he asked for a last name. I gave him two names and he asked “how many names do you have? I dont have time to look for three different names?” I said i have a married and maiden last name, i think thats normal. He says well without a ticket number i cant find your shoe. I said well I brought it in yesterday and if i cant find the ticket then i dont bave a shoe? Long story short he finds the shoe then says its not ready. I said why would you say it would be ready? He says do you not know how to read? And points at the sign which says it will be ready after 3 pm. No sir, this was my first time here and i did not see the sign. Im clearly educated enough to write this review and read. He was so Rude i proceeded to tell him that he is not a nice person and how could you treat customers this way? He said well i dont care because im closing down. I said “ohhhhhhhhh that makes sense” but it doesnt make sense to treat people that way regardless. He said he doesnt care if i leave a bad review and that i can take my shoe elsewhere so i took it.This man is a miserable human and hopefully he finds happiness in his life.I will pray for you to be a better human and spread love rather than hate.The world may be a better place with Franks shoe store closing.

I have been a Franks customer for over 25 years. They fix my equestrian equipment, riding boots, high end shoes, handbags, etc. They are economical and their work is perfection. Old world craftsmanship right in Metro Detroit.

My 8 month pregnant wife was treated terribly by the owner after trying to pick up her Manolo’s. They couldn’t find her shoes and treated her awful because she misplaced her ticket. He screamed at her and told her she can wait until the line of people goes away so he can check for her shoes. She came out to the car crying. I will never support a business like this again.

I took my favorite shoes here in confidence that they would do a great job on repairing them. That did not happen, they ruined my shoes!!!! My $950 pair of shoes, RUINED! They refuse to refund me and they are not repairable. I am so upset and disgusted!! Think twice before you bring your shoes here.

This place RUINED my red bottoms. I was told I would have them in time for a wedding, didn’t & then realized they were ruined when I went to pick them up.

I was treated so poorly by the owner of the shoe store for misplacing my ticket. They took weeks to do my shoes & I patiently waited then was yelled at when I didn’t have my ticket.

I paid half the price of my shoes to have them resoled. They fell apart in a month! I took them back and they glued pieces of old shoe tread on. This looked unsightly and didnt do anything to remedy bad quality materials used in the first place. The shoes continued to deteriorate and were unusable a few weeks later. I would avoid this place.

I am a happy customer, and will continue to return to Franks for shoe and bag repairs. For me (so far) they have added rubber soles, repaired soles, and cleaned and redyed shoes that now look like new. I am heading in this week with two more pairs of shoes that need repair, and a beloved leather tote bag with a damaged strap. Im so glad to be a loyal customer, and would recommend their services to anyone.

THIS PLACE IS N O T THE ONLY SHOE REPAIR IN OAKLAND COUNTY!!!!If you want ONLY the simplest of repairs, they might do a satisfactory job. However, if youre asking for ANYTHING that is not the easiest or plainest -- this is NOT the place to visit. We felt that the woman dressed like Mr. Ts wife and the gray-haired fella just could not be bothered to take the extra time to do the job we brought to them ---- heck charge us more ca$h to do .... but at the VERY LEAST listen while we explain and THEN tell us you cant do it instead of saying NO way when I barely began my request.

Over the years I’ve used Franks for a variety of things - from tapering Gucci leather knee boots, resoling shoes, refurbishing a Balenciaga bag, and shortening many designer belts. This is the only place I trust with my designer items. Most recently, I had a leather LV belt shortened here. The work is excellent, I’m very happy. I learned today that he also puts red soles on Louboutin shoes so I will be bringing mine here to be done soon! Great place.

Repairs here are 3/5. They do a good job with enough glue, but overall care and quality of the repairs leaves something to be desired. Great place for 100$ shoe repair. Not a good place for 700$ shoe repair.

Franks shoe service is such a great place! I have been going to franks for over 5 years and they have always done exceptional work, and quick turn around time. I have never had a problem!

My last 2 visits, I have left without giving Frank my business. I think their service is slipping. I had a leather bag that needed repair - he was not pleasant at all and suggested that I return it to Italy - where it was made. When I asked if a saddlery could fix it - he said do you see any horses around here? And I had been coming there for years. No more. I went to the shoe repair in Clawson on a Friday and it was fixed - exceeding my expectations the next day! Bye bye Frank.

Called (at 5:56p) becasue I needed some info on making my new boots with fur water repelent. i was told they had a spray for that but they closed at 6p i said i was only 5 mins away they said come on. When i got to the shoe store (6:02p 2mins after closing) the owner assisted me & made me feel vip even offered to spray my boots. GREAT COUSTERMER SERVICE⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
