Maybe I should have read all of this before I called them to service my lawn. My neighbor let me know that he had his yard treated for Army Worms. I noticed a couple of patches in the yard and decided to give these folks a call. I was told that Army Worms need to be dealt with quickly as of last Wednesday when I did get a call back. I gave them a couple of times that works with me which was Wednesday morning and Friday afternoons just to have them ask if Saturday/Sundays work. I said sure. I got no feedback after that thinking that I was going to get a call Friday, Saturday or Sunday because per them it needs to get treated quickly. So I called back today to cancel the appointment and go with someone else and I was given a good story by the salesman on the other end who then passed me over to Customer Service where I waited to here from someone. Shortly after waiting I heard that the recording tell me that it was going to be a 30 to 40 minute wait. No… I don’t think so. So I called them back to get a person on the phone to ensure that this is canceled and I was informed that I had to talk to customer service to do so. If you are looking for someone to do your lawn... read all of the post here. Dont uses these people.

Services never completed when scheduled. I paid for the year up front and have to call every time I need something scheduled. I had a mosquito treatment appointment scheduled for 6/8/2021 so that we could actually enjoy our yard during the summer months and (not surprisingly at all) the appointment was canceled with no call, text, or email to me as to why.

Prepaid service for a year. After 5 services no difference in my yard.Also had them retreat twice. Supervisor came out and said they could nandot make a difference in my yard. Sorry said they could make a difference in only a very area. Talked to another higher level supervisor and he said they gave no guarantees. They did refund 50%. Total waste of money.

I agree with Mr. Ron May. I too was a TruGreen customer for a long time-years. My lawn is looking extremely bad especially my backyard. I tried to reach out to TruGreen to get a manager to come out to speak with me. An appointment was set for July 22, 2021 and no one showed up. I am amazed at how many negative complaints TruGreen is getting. I would not recommend this company to anyone. My lawn looks terrible.

Abysmal service. The yard has never looked worse. Calling customer service reliably elicits a 3 hour wait time, which you must hold, because there is no call back option. However, if you select “speak to a sales rep about buying more device” you get patched immediately to a person, which shows exactly where the priorities lie.Emails to the customer service address are ignored.Really is one of the most unprofessional and predatory companies I’ve ever encountered.

Tru Green. has totally ruined my lawn. I have nothing but dirt where I did have grass. We called them after my husband was not able to care for it any longer. BIG MISTAKE. OUR YARD IS WASHING AwAY WHEN IT RAINS. They need to sod it for the grass seed hasnt came up.

I was aTrugreen customer for a long time - years. The lawn started looking bad recently and I asked to have someone come and look at the grass and discuss what could be causing the problem. I talked with one tech but did not get a satisfactory response. I tried to contact TruGreen several times about the problem and NEVER heard back from them. I’m very upset because 75% of the grass has died and, frankly, I think it is Trugreen’s fault for not paying enough attention to what they put on the yard. Don’t use this company!

I have had several issues lately with TruGreen. Have been using them for many, many years. I can no longer call the local office. I now have to hold as I press buttons which are given me by a recording, then when I finally am able to speak to someone, I explain what happened and that I would like someone from the local office to call me immediately. It has not been over an hour and no one has called. Instead of going back through the circus of their phone procedures, I will be canceling our service. I think having a local person, with a local phone number will be much more effective. The problem this morning? They left two gates open enabling my 3 dogs to get out. Thankfully, we were able to catch it in time to find our pets. Not very happy about this. STILL no return call.

These photos are what my St Augustine lawn looks like after TruGreens latest service call of 7/20 Technician was supposedly treating for broadleaf weed control( I did not have a broadleaf problem) These dead areas were all healthy grass. Noticed yellowing within 24hours and grass was dead in 2-3 days. Notified TruGreen the following week and met supervisor on 7/28 He agreed had a problem and contacted his supervisor while at my property. That super was to call me back. Did not hear anything. Contacted TruGreen again the following week and supervisor did call back and met him on 8/4. Yep we did have a problem and TruGreen would take care of it promptly and replace the damaged areas with St Aug. That is the last contact I have had with TruGreen even though super promised to keep me informed and agreed needed to be repaired quickly. I called TruGreen on8/14 and they would have someone call me within 24-48 hours--no response. You can not call a local TruGreen office. All calls go to a national center where they basically take a message They will not give you a local number to call.This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced with a large corp such as Tru Green. While I am fully aware mistakes happen--as I told the supervisor--there is no excuse for this level of ineptitude and indifference to a customer. Technicians have no idea what they are doing or what the chemicals they apply can do They simply follow a cookbook approach dictated by home office protocol. I am not sure what supervisors do other than infuriate me. I realize my future options are limited--official complaint to BBC and other service related watchdogs, notify state Ag Dept. about lack of oversight by TruGreen of their chemical applications, attempt to contact TruGreen CEO David Alexander. Maybe this post will generate a response. Whatever you do be very cautious dealing with TruGreen. Highly unprofessional, zero customer respect..They may help you with your lawn or they may damage it beyond repair. Who knows? TruGreen doesnt. Bob DeShazer Pell City, Al.

Our lawn looked much better before using trugreen services. They are very cordial and profile but not effective. Our lawn looked pretty good except for some crab grass issues. Trugreen not only killed the crabgrass but our regular grass too leaving huge brown spots all over our lawn. They would come back after several complaint and try to remedy the problem but it only became worth. They suggested irrigation services for more money but we refuse to spend another dime. A total waste of money!!!

Back in July had my first own maintenance go on and they killed my new sod that I had installed about 5 months ago. Got in touch with a manager and my next service which was last Thursday he said the guy that was coming out will take a look at my lawn and figure out what was going on as soon as the guy stepped in my backyard first thing he said was that they fried my yard so I got back ahold of the manager while the worker was still there so he could talk to him. He said that he was going to get the order going and call me at the beginning of this week. Did not hear anything from him yesterday and have called him twice today and has not answered my calls and so I called the customer service number and there was no notes or work orders made yet for them fixing my lawn. I would really like to have someone please contact me so you guys can fix my lawn and make it look how it looked before you guys fried my lawn and get it done ASAP.

If I could give this company a -10 I would. Here is a picture of my monthly treated lawn. The guy comes out, runs a hose and spend less than 5 minutes. The nice green area beside my home is the UNTREATED grass the ugly burned looking grass in my front yard is what my $$$$ with this rip off company left me with. This after months of treatment.

Heres whats going to happen when you sign up for TruGreen. Youre going to sign up wanting your yard to look perfect. Not a single weed in sight. In some cases, TruGreen will get it right and youll have the perfect yard with no weeds. In other cases, well, theyll miss the boat a little bit and they wont do the greatest job at killing all the weeds. Not a big deal, you can drop your service at any time. Just know though, once you drop their service, theyre going to constantly call you trying to get you back. Every time theyre in your neighborhood, theyre going to want to go ahead and sign you up for their next application. Theyre going to pitch to you about how important it is for your yard to be treated with the application theyre spraying. It doesnt matter if you tell them once, twice, three times, five times, or seven times that you really dont want their service again, theyre going to call you once a week to try and get you to sign up. It wont matter if you are a jerk to them, if you hang up on them, if you tell them to take you off their list, or if you block their number, theyre going to constantly call you to tell you that theyll be in your neighborhood next week and to let them know what day would work for them to stop by and treat your yard. If you sign up for TruGreen, I wish you the best, and I hope they get your yard looking perfect. Just know that if they dont, and if you decide to cancel, they will haunt and hound you worse than the Ghosts of Christmas Past did Scrooge.

After a ton of flyers on my door I thought Id try them- big mistake . 6 months later my yard looks the same if not worse. They only do the front yard, I dont think theyve ever set foot in the backyard. The billing area is a joke, my start date of service vs billing date is off by over a month and Ive wasted so much time and money ... Im better off just doing it myself. They just give you the run around over and over. The only Trugreen they see is the money in their pocket...what a scam

WARNING: PREDATORY COMPANYWe had TruGreen for a couple of years and actually had pretty good service at two different houses. A couple of minor issues over the years but they were always resolved quickly and professionally and our lawn looked remarkably better. HOWEVER, the problems started when we cancelled our service to tighten the budget for a period of time. They started calling my wife over and over again asking her to reconsider or sign up again. Were two months into cancelling and they have called my wife NUMEROUS times asking us to reconsider. Despite politely telling them each time not to call again, they are still calling (and always from a new number so we cant just block them). Weve talked to multiple managers with no effect. So just know that your lawn may look great but its Hotel California style: you can cancel any time you like, but you can never leave.

I had an awful experience. They kept taking money out my account every 6 weeks and no service has been done. I have asked them numerous of times to call so when they come do I can unlock my yard and they never do. Then when they come they say they have treated my yard....umm how is that is my yard is locked? I just canceled my account cause they have yet again taken money out my account and nobody has even come out to treat me yard.

Had the lawn care service for one year. Was not impressed with the results really, but the 1 star is for how they conduct business. 1st, they continually try to up-sell. This is a multi-layered up sell including leaving things in envelopes in my door saying I had specific problems in my garden (I.E. certain weeds) and constant phone calls trying to sell me all their other programs. This alone was enough for me to not renew their service.After the year I paid up front, the next year my service auto renewed and they came out and did the first treatment. I am sure it says the service will renew year over year in the fine print; just saying be aware this is how they conduct business.

I was set up for my first service which was to aerate my lawn. I received text messages notifying me of my upcoming service days in advance as well as the day of. I took the day off so I could mark all of the sprinkler heads the morning of. Received a text that morning saying they would be out between 12:00 and 5:00. At 2:30 I received a phone call from the Manager asking me when I wanted to reschedule the service. I asked him why would I want to reschedule my service? He replied because his service technician told me you wanted to cancel and reschedule......I said really? I wonder where he got that idea? Do you think it’s because it’s Friday afternoon and he really doesn’t want one more stop so he told you that? The Manager apologized and said he would make it up to me but didn’t have the guts to call back his technician and order him to complete my service..... I called Trugreen headquarters and canceled my account. I’m going to go with a locally owned small business.....

Just made the mistake of giving them my phone number to try and talk to someone about some weed issues I have. Well they called me very quick and it was nothing but a sales pitch from a guy in New York. He kept on pitching things I didn’t want or cared about. I’m not your average homeowner. I am more of a Hank Hill type and care deeply about my precious lawn and do everything myself including all the treatment. I specifically asked the salesman (not an expert) about poa annua and he said “we do pre emergent for that in the spring” and then started going off on a $350 aeration service which will generally take them about 15 minutes to do AND a service I don’t need/want from them. I can rent an aerator at Lowe’s for like $90 and do it myself. What he didn’t know was that poa annua germinates in the fall and grows during the winter and early spring so putting a pre emergent down for it in spring would be pointless. All he was doing was trying to sell me services I didn’t want. I was just curious about talking to an expert to treat for winter and springweeds. My guess is their main market is for people who know nothing about lawns so they charge outrageous fees on things that people think they need and couldn’t possibly dothemselves. With that phone call and reading some of the other reviews it wasn’t just a redflag but a red flag factory!

Just wait for it... We canceled service with them after witnessing many appointments incomplete via the out door camera system. Twice they showed up and just put a service slip on the door without even touching the yard. Trugreen was very understanding tried their best to fix it and we gave them a few more chances. Yet again they could not produce quality work. With that said we canceled. Here where it gets bad!!! After canceling we receive weekly if not daily phones calls requesting explanation on why we stopped.. this has been going on for almost a year now. After the 10+ calls of kindly requesting to be taking off their call list we blockEd the number... but it didn’t stop there they continue to call off other numbers to the point of HARASSMENT.. it’s worse than the potential scam calls you get from the “social security office” or Car warranty and or insurance. I am begging if someone higher up reads this please take us off the call list.

Had them start in February with pre and post emergents, put ruts in my yard and dead spots on shrubbery. They returned in April , ruts in yard and dead bedding plants . Several weeks later spoke with Birmingham manager about damage which required new plants and sod but weeds not eradicated . No offer was made to cover the repair costs .Service truck serviced the neighbor three days later but did not follow up on the weed issue . Waisted money , terrible service ,and killed an area of my lawn . Waisted money , and expensive lawn repair!

I have been billed twice for services that were performed on another lawn. I have tried to get this rectified but have had no luck. Heaps of weeds are present and a ruined lawn as a result of no pre-emergent being applied even after they indicated it was. I was happy with my previous service. Their salesman came and promised a lower rate. You get what you pay for! Beware, run from this Trussville location!

My yard has not looked very good all year. They come in and apply chemicals and are gone in less than five minutes. They lost my business last week when the tech drove up on the street, parked, brought the paper work to the door and left. Nothing was done. Glad I have cameras that can prove it.

I tried service with true green about 2 months ago. First service was good. I wasnt home but my cameras saw the service guy. I was satisfied with the results. Then comes the next service. I recieve a text saying they were on the way. Five minutes later I received a message saying job complete. No service person ever showed up. I had a bill to come out on the Friday. I checked my account as I normally do. I see a 259.00 pymt taken out of my account unauthorized and for a service that did not happen . I was told that they would refund my money right away. Today is Tues and I still dont have it. I talked to several people and still my money is still gone. I dont have money to give away. Nor do I have where I can keep waiting till they decide to replace my funds they stole plus they need to also pay the 35.00 fee the bank charged because after they unauthorized took that amount out of my account. All Ive got is excuses and the pymt for service that I was to recieve was 89.00 not 259.00.. All I want is my money back and I do not wish to do business with them again. And after stealing my money. I am still being harassed about getting a mosquito service. Can I please just get my money that was stolen. And no Im not interested in doing anymore business with true green. Before I allow them to get away with taking money from me. I will take legal action on this matter. I dont understand why its taking all these days to replace what was unlawfully done. When it only took them a few seconds to take out of my account what wasnt owed to them. Replace what was taken. Make this right by giving me my 259.00 back and the 35.00 fee that was caused by you. True green isnt looking at the fact that the real bills I owe care nothing about the issue Im having with true green. They just want their money. And thats all I want too. I will attempt to contact corporate before going further. True green, fix what was unlawfully done. Make this right then Im okay.

This is my first time using TruGreen. I had quite a few questions and my specialist Eddie Thomas was stellar. He was very courteous and patient. I know that he probably has a daily quota but he made me feel as though I was the most important customer for him. Great customer service. He represents the company well.

TruGreen should be avoided! I had signed with them to do my lawn twice before at other homes I owned in two other states and I REGRETTED it! Both times they were incompetent, did poor work, and charged me too much money. Several months ago a TruGreen team canvassed my neighborhood where I currently reside and the local manager put his card on my door with a note. I called him and he ASSURED me that I would not have problems again, and said that if I did I could call him directly. That was a huge mistake! I never should have trusted them again. They charged me incorrect prices for my two properties and billed me for services I never received! I tried for months to resolve the problem, but encountered dishonest and/or incompetent people. I have now had bad experiences with TruGreen at multiple properties in THREE different states! A reasonable person would conclude that is their corporate culture and how they do business. (P.S. Remember the manager who said I could call him directly if I had any problems? He has not been available. Also, one time when I was trying to resolve a matter with their billing department they told me that HE had told them to take away a credit I had already been issued for poor service and services not performed.)

Ive not used their severice, however while I was out watering my yard this morning one of their trucks came speeding down our street. We live on a corner lot and as I watched him speed past he yelled what the F are you looking at and then rolled through the stop sign. If this is the type of people they employ then Ill never use them and dont think anyone else should either.

The man I spoke with was extremely rude and condescending. I politely told him I felt I needed to check with another company ..to which he rudely replied I think you should too.

I’m so outraged that one star doesn’t even justify what this company has done to my yard ,yes my last technician was on time ,and very professional.But my yard is destroyed, I use to take care of my lawn myself but got diagnosed with severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Take a look at the pictures,my neighbors yards look better than mine . Maybe a civil lawsuit will get their attention, how can multiple customers be wrong. Then they don’t want to take any accountability for their incompetence,I’d be better off working in pain than allowing this company any where near my yard .😡

Technicians are always professional and polite. I do like a call when they are on their way to my house so that I can unlock my gate at that time. This has been done almost on every visit. However, weed control could be better. Their time is limited at each house, I understand this, but better control could be maintained by taking that extra time at customers homes.

0 Stars2018- TruGreen has destroyed by beautiful $10,00 lawn. My yard has been established for about 15 years and has always been beautiful and healthy. I thought it would be a good idea to turn over the care to Trugreen due to my work schedule. My yard is/was 100% Zoysia grass with no other grasses mixed in. In July, my lawn was lush and green. Between then and September of 2018 TruGreen treated my lawn for fall. Soon after my lawn was nearly dead. I do not know what they did but I have pictures that show a healthy green lawn in July, and a nearly dead lawn in August. Parts of it started coming back in September but due to the weakening of the Zoysia it has been overrun with Bermuda grass, which is impossible to get rid of. I had people with turf management degrees tell me the Bermuda grass explosion was a result of the weakened state of the Zoysia. In October, the area of Bermuda has nearly doubled. I had a couple of competitors come out and give their opinion which is that TruGreen over fertilized and burned the lawn. Both other companies said that the only way to fix this is to re-sod but I do not have $10,000 to re-sod. I have complained, and the manager came out and provided little comfort that the issue would be resolved. I have called several times and was told a complaint along with photos was sent to the upper managers in the Birmingham. That was over a month ago. I have pictures giving a timeline of the issue. I tried several times at the beginning to get someone out there to assess the situation, but they just kept retreating for weeds and would not notify the correct people of the problem. I requested time after time for the technician to meet me at the house to go over things but would only find the invoice on the front doorstep after they had come and gone.2019 – After destroying my yard in 2018 I was given assurance that it would be fixed. TruGreen promised me free treatments to rebuild my Zoysia and eliminate the Bermuda grass. David, the Manager, said he would give free aeration and get rid of the invasive Bermuda grass. For the entire growing season of 2019 we texted back and forth about fixing my lawn but it never happened. He just kept making excuses. He stopped responding to my texts in September. I recently received a bill from Trugreen for services that I did not agree to pay for in 2019. David, the manager for my area had given me his word that the yard would be restored and if he had to, he would re-sod the areas overtaken by Bermuda grass. He never upheld his end of the agreement and stopped responding to my texts since 9/13/20. I was promised aeration and that the Bermuda would be taken care of. I gave him an entire growing season and my yard has done nothing but deteriorate further. I have dozens of test messages with him saying that he would fix it and he had a solution, but it never got done. I don’t feel like I owe Trugreen one red cent. I will not be paying anything and have a very strong case on the contrary.

I am only giving it a 1 star for now because they have only sprayed once about a month ago. My hubby and i still notice that the spray has not made a difference in killing the weeds in my yard or the grass look any greener. But like i stated they only sprayed once and i think i have 6 or 7 more sprays. I also contacted customer service to make sure i had the right plan for my yard but she acted dumb founded or maybe inexperience when asked about the packages.

Technician rang the door bell and informed me he was there to service the lawn. Very courteous young man. Left a form of what was accomplished that day, and what I should do to follow up on the lawn. Front lawn looks find. Side lawn needs a little more weed control on it though, but it looks okay.

The technician, Mike, who maintains my lawn is exceptional. Even in the rain with thunder beginning, he not only treated my lawn but also took the time to explain to me in person what he saw and total me to give Trugreen a call in 4 weeks and ask that he come back out to see how it is doing. I would never, ever recommend TruGreen, not even if they were the last company on earth. They are a very dishonest, disappointing company who cheats their customers out of their hard earned money without actually performing the work theyre paid to do. We used TruGreen for a full year, but noticed there were no positive results of our lawn. Finally, one day the tech arrived at our home not knowing that anyone was there and sat in the driveway without getting out of the vehicle for nearly an hour on his cell phone while on surveillance, and had the audacity to submit the falsified ticket to his office that the work had been completed and stuck a sign in my yard before leaving. When this was reported to his manager, they took sides with the tech implying this didnt sound like something the tech would do. HORRIBLE & DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We have since dropped TruGreen like a bad habit, moved to a different lawn care service and have seen positive results after two applications. Take it from me, never use TruGreen. They are a joke and will rob their customers without a gun. My entire subdivision has dropped them because of incidents like this.

Paid 519.50 up front for a year of lawn care on 6/3/17, my yard looks better than it did but not as good as my neighbors who use another cheaper local company. ( I’m still pulling weeds daily) Also just got a bill for 1/23/18 and 3/7/18 for a total of $110.00. Kinda confused on why I’m getting billed. I live in a garden home with a small flat yard. I’ll be moving on to another company...

After he aeration and over seeding, I have been watering the lawn for three weeks. The seeds are germinating. However there are still some brown spots and weeds on the left side of my house and in the middle of the front yard around the flower bed and around the bushes on the left side of the driveway.In general I am very please with the results. Yard was in terrible shape when I contacted Tru Green. I failed to see much improvement at first and was disappointed, but stuck with it. I now have the greenest, healthiest lawn on my block.The people have been polite to deal with even when I was less than happy so thank you for bearing with my impatience.

I was hesitate about spending the money for professional mosquito spraying. I have to say we started our contract in March for 6 months and with all the rain we received in the spring, the mosquitos have not been bad so far. You have to be realistic that you will never see a flying bug but we are not getting eat up when going outside in the late afternoon and evening. Tru Green has been very professional and I highly recommend them.

This company is the absolute WORST.They used an herbicide on a portion of my front lawn instead of a fertilizer. My lawn has just began to recover and now the season is more than half over. I never had an opportunity to enjoy a nice green lawn.They called me saying that I was behind with a past due bill and I was set up on a EFT. Are you kidding me. When I was a young boy, I remember my dad using TruGreen Chemlawn. They’re not the same company now!!! They SUX!This company is the worst!!!! “I’ll send out a technician to look at it, NOTHING!!! The service in Birmingham is not what I expected. They do not have an actual office but a pox, they will call and not leave a call back number. They have been to my house a couple of times to look at my concern with my yard after they started. They explain what needs, charge me for more services and unfortunately nothing gets better. Last time I called the guy offered to make sure someone called back and came to my house, that he would allow with an email and a call. That was over 10 days ago and I am still waiting. I guess after he tried to offer me a discounted rate and i said we can talk about it after I actually spoke with someone from the local office, he decided out was not worth it.Really sad about their commitment to the client.I have to say that I used this when I lived in Wa state and they did great work and service, my lawn looked great!

Im a new customer and can only rate my experience with the difficulties in having service personnel receiving requests to contact me for information on finding my location because normal GPS applications will direct the driver to an other location than mine. Every time Ive been scheduled and notified via TEXT Ill call and request the service provider contact me for driving directions. The service provider either doesnt receive the message or choses to ignore it and after driving around aimlessly runs out of time call me discovering they are miles from my location and so as not to get back logged cancels the appointed and requests rescheduling and the cycle starts over when the new appointment date arrives. I subscribed to the full lawn care package over two weeks ago and have had only one individual come and provide a service. Ive had 4 or 5 scheduled appointments that had had to be rescheduled because they where made without consulting me and my schedule was in conflict, my next appointment isnt scheduled until the later part of next week.. I only need to be here for the first appointment to talk with the technician, after that I just need to be notified when they are coming. Hopefully things will smooth out once a routine is established, if not changes may have to be made.

I see a value in TruGreens service, Any of my concerns have always been addressed within a week of occurrence. Specialist have always been professional and willing to speak with me about any concern I may have. Have looked at the numbers, the time I would take to buy the product or products along with the application time and equipment is not cost efficient. %The only concern I have is my Lawn is no longer dark green.

I started using Trugreen in March because I had gotten too busy to treat it myself. It is now May and my yard looks worse than ever. After the second treatment, I was told the weeds should start turning yellow. No, they only got bigger. I called and was told it was because we had not had a really cold winter. They sent someone out a couple of days later. The signs were just lying on the front and back yard and there was a bill on the front door. I went ahead and paid the bill. A few days later, I noticed the weeds were still getting bigger. I called again and was assured they would soon die. They never did. I called to cancel my service and was told they would send someone out to assess the lawn. I have never seen anyone. No signs of them coming were ever left. I then received an email telling me that they had come out and the charge was 65.95. No way am I paying them another penny. My neighbor had a lot more weeds than I had. They went to Lowes, purchased weed and feed and now, a week later, they have no weeds. I have waited since March to have no weeds. I was just put pulling weeds this morning in my front yard until it got too hot. Ive got to pull them from the back later this evening. No more Trugreen! Lowes here I come!

Review subject to change.Scam Alert - They auto renew your services without telling you!I prepaid for TruGreen for a years worth of services by phone. I explicitly asked the salesman what would happen at the end of the year and he stated that I would be approached again to see if I was interested in continuing my services.As for the service itself, they only did my backyard 2-3 times, however, they did my front yard every time they came. I saw good results in my front yard. Nothing wrong with the performance of their product because it worked great. However, they seem to have a problem getting their service people to do the entire job and not rush it while they are on location. Maybe a worker shortage problem or simply who they have hired.My real complaint is with them not even a full year after my year purchase, they have all of a sudden charged me $130 for their last treatments. I was never notified that my plan was about to expire and given an option to renew like they told me they would do.I called to ask for clarrification about the bill I received and was told they sent a LETTER out talking about purchasing a new plan. I told them I never saw or thought to open the letter (when you get a TruGreen letter every month you quit opening after a while), but that even if that was the case, why renew it without consumer consent?I will be taking this claim to the BBB and Small Claims if needed. I have a scheduled call from a manager in 1-2 days and my review here is subject to change as a result of the agreement made. The lady on my initial call at least offered a 1/3rd deduction, but if they want my business ever again, I will need a full exemption on this $130 bill and ASKED if I want to renew services like it should be and what I was instructed a year ago.

Never used their services, but dont ever act remotely interested in their service if youre not prepared to be called repeatedly for months. I filled out a form one time on their website hoping to get a quote. Once I got my quote, I decided it was a bit higher than I wanted to pay, so decided not to use them, and told them this on a number of the phone calls theyve made to me. 6 months later Im still getting phone calls from them asking why I havent signed up with services. Please stop calling me. Normally I dont care and usually the calls stop, but what prompted this review was multiple phone calls on the same day after Ive continued to tell them Im not interested.

CAN I GIVE ZERO STARS?First I should say, our lawn looked pretty good before TruGreen, we just wanted a bit more brilliance and a few less weeds. Thought this would be an easy fix, and we decided to leave it to professionals instead of doing it ourselves, as we had been for 16 years. We signed up and used them for 2 years. The first year the guy assured us that we needed to go thru two cycles (year of treatments) for improvement, and we bought the sales pitch hook, line and sinker. After the first year, we were pretty disappointed, we had many bare patches and many weeds. Again, the rep said it would be better next season, but it wasnt. It was so much worse. Big bare spots, lots of erosion, weeds galore and really thin/spindly turf.Their crappy lawn care, combined with the lies and the incessant, harassing sales calls (from some country bumpkin dude who kept calling me honey and tried to convince me that he had been in my yard and had seen too many damaging bugs to imagine - Dude you havent been to my yard, nor do you know that we use Mosquito Authority, Waynes pest control, and Ortho products galore on our trees... they look great! Way better than the grass!!! We are a toxic nightmare to bugs!!) I warned the toothless salesman that if he called us ONE more time, I would dump all of the service. And I did. And we are so much happier without them. EXCEPT -THEY KEEP CALLING. EVERYDAY. WEEKENDS TOO. THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY EVER. DONT CALL THEM OR THEY WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE AND YOUR YARD WILL BE DEAD.A terrible - terrible company.

We canceled service with TruGreen last year and they continue to harass us by phone to re-start service. After telling their rep to stop calling our home, at least six times, I have contacted Birmingham BBB and I will complain formally. It concerns me that these harassment practices might be targeting the elderly. BEWARE. Also, considering the bad experience we have had, I really question the validity of those good reviews.

Since we have had Trugreen service, our lawn always looks greener and fuller. The only thing is we do have is stray weeds that migrate from neighbors who dont treat there yard. But Trugreen is always willing to come back out and treat these other unwanted weeds. Got to love the way they take care of all my request, always easy to deal with.
