Their new facility is amazing!! A little over whelming at first, though once checked in everything seems to fall into place!!;

Run down and disgusting. Makinv 4 men sleep in a 2 bedroom apartment with only 2 mattresses. Mice and flooding as well. No security or privacy for anyone.

Ended up getting housing through them after a few weeks. Quiet,clean place.

I was new to the area, having moved to Birmingham not even 2 weeks ago. since arriving I searched for local shelters and this one came up on my searches. this place is free, and doesnt seem to have a definite time you can stay there. they feed you pretty generously. however, despite your basic needs being met there was one issue I had that made me write this review now. every night they search you for any dangerous items. seems simple enough and I didnt have a problem. they also take your cell phone and return it to you the following morning. so far I had no issues. I had a pretty expensive phone, a Samsung galaxy s3. I used it for GPS, all my contacts were on it, this phone meant a lot to me. being homeless and looking for work, you need a phone. this is where things got bad. the staff member that checked me in, didnt check my phone down. and it was also missing the following morning. not only that, after talking to management they werent going to be able to replace it. if you stay at this shelter, be prepared to have your items stolen by staff, and if your like me, with no other options but this place, then just stay out of Birmingham. because this experience has made me leave this state entirely.

Excellent shelter for homeless and drug/alcohol rehabilitation. The staff is very compassionate and caring.

This place has a friendly environment, and is a safe haven for ho.eless men from ages 19 and up.

I enjoy serving here every 3rd Wed at dinner time with 23rd St Bapt CH.

A welcoming place for those in need of friend and those who have lost everything.
