On behalf of New Hope Baptist church, were happy to share our experience with all viewers. Weve been a customer with Republic Service for at least 15 years and whenever we had a concern about our accounts (4 locations) our representative was always there to assist in clearing our issues. The pick up service is great on our schedule days. If there are any other days that are needed, all we had to do is call and the assistance needed was was available to us. Since weve been a valued customer for the said number of years, our plans are to stay connected with Republic Service because of all the great support, concerns and assistance our representatives show to us.

I have been trying to add a can for a month now. I have been told many times they are dropping it off tomorrow. I have spoke to people up and down the chain with no result. Filing complaint with city so they will know customer service concerns for contract renewal.

Our Commercial Facility uses Republic for our trash removal. We have used them about a year and a half now and we are very satisfied with their service. We previously used another local provider for trash pick-up and have seen an improvement in service. We have not had any problems with pick-ups and we are called to let us know if the pick-up is running late. We worked with Republic to install a trash compactor to save on pick-up fees. Republic was very helpful during the compactor set up and installation. No complaints here! Good Job!

My garbage hasnt been picked up since June 25. Its Aug 4 now. Talked to customer service multiple times. Theyve missed specially scheduled pickups twice now. At my wits end. The bill is paid, no one can tell me why the garbage isnt being picked up. No one will call me back. I guess I can take my garbage to their office and leave it in the front door.

Every single week I have to call because they didnt pick up our can. or it ends up in the ditch. when I call im on on hold for 30 mins everytime every day. . then only to be told the earliest day they can pick up is the next day. then they say a Manger will call me. never have they called me I hate this places. the worst ever

They took over for WM in my area and its been a headache ever since. My first invoice wasnt mailed to me until months after they took over and they prevented the ability to pay for my previous bill on the old website while theirs was still having issues. This resulted in me getting a $100+ invoice that they immediately sent to collections.Recently, I lost my job and fell behind. Their solution was to take my container and charge me for the removal instead of just not picking up like other companies and now they are refusing to give me a new one now that my account is in good standing.This is all on top of the inconsistent pickup times.Update:After finally getting a new account set up, I wasnt given the account number and weeks later began getting calls about my bill without being sent an invoice. Instead of looking into it they kept telling me my account was closed (the old one). As of 9/6/21 3:34pm, I just got the invoice which was due on 8/20, so once again, in starting off on a past due notice because you guys cant be bothered with the customer service line. I dont understand how an electronic invoice is sent out so late.

It took a bit longer than I would have liked to get things resolved. After some frustrating weeks Republic Services eventually got things rolling well for us. My biggest gripe was the bin placement interfering with work but thats sorted out and now thats one less hurdle to clear week in and week out.

As a local business we have 6 large dumpsters on our facility and Republic Services has always been prompt with their service at our location . The hauling division has a courteous Staff that always makes it happen for us and should any problems arise they are taken care of quickly .

Where do I start? I have attempted to resolve the issue and speak to a supervisor before I blasted bad reviews. My husband and I have lived in Chelsea for almost 2 years. We had some issues in the very beginning with our trash service and it was quickly resolved. Here recently, the past two months, we have dealt with our trash being missed EVERY SINGLE WEEK. We call every week and report a missed pickup, sometimes they come out the next day and pickup, sometimes they dont. I have called and been VERY POLITE about the situation each time. Now I am to the point of complete outrage. I have spoken to I dont know how many different customer representatives (who are all generally very nice). They put in complaints in the computer and say a supervisor will contact me or my husband to have problem resolved. Nobody ever does. Issue still happens every week for the past 2 MONTHS. I have to stress that. We are on time paying customers and are not provided with the services that we are supposed to receive. I have called in complaints, emails etc. I have tried swapping trash services and other trash services apparently do not service our area. Even though 80% of our neighborhood uses Advanced, the other 20% (us) uses Republic. I call Advanced and they say they do not service Shelby Co. Its been a nightmare.

I called to schedule a pickup for yard debris, only to be told they dont schedule pickups. If thats the case, then why is it one of the options when I call? You take your dear, sweet time coming to get the debris, but you want my payment in a timely manner. Im tired of calling for almost 2 weeks, being put on hold for long periods of time. Youre probably contracted out and get paid whether you do your job or not. Get off your butts and do the right thing.

This company is a joke. They hardly ever pick up. We call them and all they can say is we dont know why it didnt get picked up. They cant transfer you to anyone. All they can do is send in a complaint and someone will call you back or thats what they yell you. No one ever calls. I have to call once a month or atleast every two months. They truly need to change how they do business. Its very frustrating to have to pay and then worry if you are going to get what you are paying for.

They are impossible to get in contact with to start new service. I have called every day for a week and waited on hold for over an hour each time. No one has ever answered the phone. I also submitted my request online and received a message that said I would get a response will by the end of the next business day, but I never received a response. Not sure how I’m supposed to get trash service if they’re impossible to contact. It seems this is a recurring problem that they don’t care to correct based on many other reviews.

I’ve had service with this company for just a few months for residential waste and recycling. They were supposed to replace my trash cans and recycling can when I started service as the cans I have were from the prior resident and the cans were are old and nasty. They also are Waste Pro and Advanced Disposal cans which Republic acquired. They told me they would replace with new Republic waste and recycling cans. They still have not replaced. I’ve called several times and they can never answer why they were not replaced and they always schedule for another day. They never do what they say they will do. Their driver has also missed pickups. The last missed pickup they even missed the “missed pickup”. They’ve escalated my complaints to management and nothing ever happens. I normally would go to another service provider for such poor service, but they are the only company who services my area. It’s very frustrating to have to continue wasting time calling this company for not doing what they say will do.

We said we would never use Republic Services again after we found out they were charging us 4-5 times the going rate for weekly dumpster service and when we tried to cancel we got the run-around. We switched companies and moved our services to Waste Pro....Then Republic Services bought their accounts. We were content with the new price and service until we went 2 weeks with no dumpster pickup. I called and they sent the driver out and he pulled straight through the parking lot and left without stopping. For the last month I have been calling weekly to cancel my service and every time I call the person answering the phone cant help me but the will have someone reach out to me asap....I havent recieved that call.....Please dont get a long term service with this company! You will regret it!

Scum of the earth. I moved to a new address but my old account was cancelled WITHOUT my authorization. We were still occupying the home on the day our account was cancelled. So because of that, I had to pay a fee to establish a new account. Imagine a utility service such as power cutting someones power off before theyve even vacated the home! We recently moved to a new house and we have now had three weeks of missed pick ups and only one time have they come by to pick up the trash when they brought us a new container. I have called over 8 times and gotten someone new every time on the phone with no resolution, including speaking with She kinda a supervisor. I have never seen a company this unorganized and unhelpful. We still have not had our trash picked up which has been sitting in the road since before the 4th of July. If you have any other option for trash service use them. This company is awful.

They pick up our trash and recycles just fine but we called and signed up for yard trash pick up and they have told us repeatedly they would pick it up and after putting it out 5 times and calling them back 3 times and emailing them once they still will not pick it up. Republic took over the trash pickup in my area which I did not know until I received a notice that my service would be discontinued. I paid the invoice and kept the service. A new invoice arrived for $38.29. When I went online to pay the charge was over $70. There was an additional $35 interrupt fee from the prior period. No one at customer service could help me, but they did cut the $35 fee down to $17.50. I expected this new charge to appear on the next invoice. Nope. They want it all NOW. All I got from the reps was, Just pay your bill on-time. Thanks a lot for no compassion when most of the country (and world) is shutdown. Paid the $38.29 invoice and then received an email that my service was going to get interrupted again!! Called in and was told, Yep. You have to pay the $17.50 now. Even though the invoice is for $38.29, and I paid that amount they insist that the $17.50 has to be paid even though it is not in the invoice total. Their invoice system is broken, they refuse to admit it, and they want to make it my problem. Very little sympathy from these folks and really wish they were not operating in my area. They have a serious accounting, computer, and adding problem but they refuse to accept responsibility for their mistake!

This company took over for our previous company 4 weeks ago. I have not been serviced yet. I have made multiple calls to their local office to report the missed pickups and have been told that someone will be right out. I’ve been told that a supervisor would give me a call. I’ve been told that they were putting an escalation on the file multiple times. All lies! My can still hasn’t been serviced. I have family coming in for the holidays and my can is overflowing, which by the way was explained to them every time I called. I ended up having to take time and money away from my family to take trash my trash to the landfill. I highly doubt that I get reimbursed for the charge at the landfill but you better believe I will be talking to the Mayor and City Counsel about getting this worthless company’s contract revoked.Republic Service if you read this, which knowing how your customer service is I highly doubt that you will or if you did even care, you have my number, I’m still waiting on that supervisor to call me...(sarcastic tone with eye roll)You’ll be hearing from me again at 7am Monday.

If I could give them a zero out of 5 stars I would but that is not an option about a 3 almost 4 weeks ago there truck came and picked up my trash and took my trash can. I called and informed them that it was not their trash can it was a trash can i had from a company that previously serviced my area. I was informed that it would be compensated or replaced by the representatives. After about 4 weeks of calling and getting no response i finally was able to speak to a manager over my area in which she informed me that they would not be replacing it because it was not supposed to be used because it was not their can and it was from a previous company. Being that the can has been in my possession for over two- three years i would call that mine and no where was it told to residents that you have to use republics trash cans because mine still says waste pro. This company is tacky and if i had another choice it would not be them. I can understand why they have all 1 starts and that’s probably because there isn’t a lower choice of zero.

I have a 2 day a week pickup. They hardly ever pickup both days every week. This week they didnt pick up at all. They dont come all the way down my street times to even see if garbage is out. When I call to tell them no one picked up they do absolutely nothing but apologize. I have called at least 5 times just this summer. Ridiculous. Dont use them of you dont have to.

They have lied over and over again about someone coming to pull them and telling me that a supervisor is gonna call. I pay my bill on time and should not have to keep calling about a pickup. If I could give a 0 or negative number/star, I would. Only three weeks into service and they cant make up their minds what day they are picking up. I have a service tag they left with the can that says Wednesday but they picked up nothing week one, Wednesday week two, Tuesday week three. What the#@//? Called after the first missed pick up and they tell me their computer says Sunday but she knew that was wrong. Said someone would call. That was 2 weeks ago. Hello! Horrible service. Avoid at all cost!!!!! I had Santek for less than a year because we have just moved here. They are the best. Never a problem here. I wish we had them back.

They took over the contract for my neighborhood. When I went to pay the first invoice that I had seen, there was a $35 fee for a late payment. They were willing to wave 1/2 of it but, the situation sucked and the CSR was not helpful at all. I hope they do not have the contract here for long...

I live in Homewood And use Republic for recycling. I called to get a can and set up service and they had my can to me the very next time they were out. The customer service person was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only problem I have is that they only pick up every other week instead of every week and I recycle a lot

I called to order a 4 yard dumpster April 16th and I still haven’t received it yet, although I did get billed for it. I’ve been calling this company twice a week since April 22nd, bc that is when it was supposed to be delivered. Every time I call they end up putting me on the phone with the supervisor just for them to tell me that they will see what is going on and that they would call me back and I have yet to receive a phone call from them. So our area switched over to this trash company recently. It’s been a month since I paid to start service with them and I still cannot get them to bring a trash can. We’ve called and called and they keep saying “it’ll be there tomorrow”, “you’re marked high priority”, “you will absolutely have a can today.” Still no trash can. Ridiculous and frustrating. I have a family of 5 so trash piles up quick around here. Used them for 3 years for apartments. 3 year contract, near impossible to cancel without certified letter months prior to contract end to avoid auto renewal. Good luck getting through to your account manager, the only one who can cancel your account. There are better options, dont believe me, check yelp too. In other cities they are the only option, were lucky and have several more local options.

Ive been a customer for 4 months and the recycling pickup has been skipped more times than is picked up! Ive called countless times to customer service, and they have yet to figure out why the pickups for my neighborhood are being skipped. They will not offer an extra pickup and the regular schedule is for every other week. It appears the corporation is so large, they cannot manage small problems. That, or they just dont care. Take your pick.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life! I had Santek til June 1st of this year and was forced to pay 12 dollars more every quarter and have only had garbage pick up once. I have called and all I get is oh I’m so sorry we will have someone out tomorrow. Well tomorrow hasn’t came yet. Man how I miss my Santek literally the best garbage company since bill smith. If they ever broke down they got another truck out here in the dark. Really need to figure out how to get Santek back. Any thoughts?

I would actually give a negative number, but it will not allow a post without a rating. Bulk trash pick up in Fairfield Alabama is inconsistent. When customer service is contacted there is a speech about every other week. However, there has not been a pickup in three weeks. There is a different response with every customer service rep. Today I was told that it is picked up every other full week in the month. The bagged grass is beginning to smell and the grass beneath the bags is changing colors. This is outrageous !!

We had service with this company for about 2 years. I will say something nice then I will tell my billing experience. Operationally theyre good, the pickups happened at about the same time every Thursday and the drivers were super awesome people. However, the entire time we have used them there were billing issues. We were promised $75 for a 4 yard dumpster, pickup every other week. I would get the bill and it would be $96, $100, $110. Something vastly different every time. I would talk to my local rep, he would assure me it was fixed, then it would go back to overcharged bills.When I tried to cancel the local rep fought me on it. He said he would call me back, that he was in a meeting, basically just avoided the topic for a week. After that he just ignored my calls. Republic services wont cancel it either. They said it has to be the local rep. I got another bill today and have a dumpster in our parking lot that we dont want. I just got our lawyer on it to see if he can solve it. I am still dealing with this! We used MCC Waste for a new dumpster and they guarantee flat rate. Dont use Republic Services.

April 18, 2018 around 12:20 pm ,a Republic truck number 203 hauling a container of paper from either Oneal steel, or Southland tube was weaving in and out of traffic on 65N . Load not covered, and running 70 plus in a construction zone. Items from the container stuck on my vehicle and others as he passes us. I have some of the papers saved for future use. Also some of the debris struck my vehicle, a 2017 Nissan Titan, I just bought friday. Numerous paint chips and scratches on hood and cab top. No one will answer at the company, and as of yet no return call. Looks like a meeting with a attorney may be in need.

This place is a Joke! Trash is picked up in our area on Mondays only ! Every other Wednesday for Recycle! However Christmas week We didnt get picked up due to Christmas being on Monday, Trash overflowing from not being picked up any day after. Then go into To the New years with same thing happening!
