I completed the assessment that weekend as requested and I never heard back from her. No follow-up or nothing. This is the second time Ive met with this company and I have not had a good experience with them yet.

I submitted my resume to VACO about two weeks ago. I didnt hear anything from them until I sent them a email complining about their failure to keep me informed of their progress . Their office manager wrote that given the volume of candidates that submit resumes on a daily basis, we are not able to follow up with each individual who submits a resume. After serving the public for over 40 years , I do know that the customers number one complaint is the failure of those providing the service to maintain communications with them. Thats their job. Sounds like VACO needs to hire additional agents. Until then, look for assistance elsewhere.

I worked with two different recruiting firms in the Birmingham area and Im literally giving the same review on both. They were that similar in experience. I give them two stars out of five because while there were no results for myself, I still understand the process however, feel it could be better.You must first understand these recruiting firms are not really working for you, but are working for their business clients. So even though they give you a nice, warm speech about how they are here for you, in reality assisting you is secondary to assisting their paying clients. This is somewhat fair because that is how they make their money.Again, experience was very similar at the two firms I visited. You fill out paperwork, which is basically like completing a employment application. You will be scheduled to come in for an interview so they can go over your employment history and get a feel for the type of job you are seeking. They are also using this meeting to pre-interview you for their clients. Staff at all two locations were very nice and friendly. The recruiters are very bubbly and fun.At the end of the meeting, the recruiters will tell you how they will get to work attempting to place you with a matching career with one of their clients. This is kinda where the communication stopped for me. Beyond this initial interview, I received no communication in the following three months. The only call I did receive (from one firm), was a few days after visiting to tell me a job I was initially matched with had changed the job description and the pay scale was well below what I was seeking. Barring that single contact, radio silence. I was even told by one firm that after submitting my info to a place or two they would follow up with me regardless of the results to let me know how things were progressing. That call was not received.I am sure the firms have worked well for some, just not for me.

I’ve worked with VACO on both fronts - TWICE as a job seeker and once when working to find employees - and can honestly say you cannot go wrong. Their team is extremely well trained and experienced and they seem to hire only the best.
