Came to get tires and an alignment. The gentlemen I talked to were both professional and took care of any paperwork quickly. The install of tires were done good. Pretty quick on the amount of time it took. Good dudes there. Call and get an appointment though. They get busy. Two thumbs up guys. The four star is only cause of some pricing confusion.

The guys at Midas are always helpful and make quick work of service jobs. John is very knowledgeable and takes care of his customers.

Went to get my oil changed, was able to get a last minute appointment, which I was very thankful for. Dropped off the car around 430, got a phone call at 545 that they dont have the right oil filter, but maybe the other shop has it but they dont have anyone to go get it and if I could come back the next morning. Unfortunately I wasnt able to because I had to work. Within 10 minutes someone else called me back saying that they were able to get the filter from the other shop and that I could get the car shortly. I went to get the car and left. Within a month my car was putting out random blue/white smoke, I thought it was breaking. Took it to a verified mechanic (its a VW and needs special equipment to be checked out). 200$ later I come to find out that Midas put almost 9 quarts (!!!!!!!) of oil in my car, when it barely holds 4.5, and that was why the engine was burning oil. So not only did Midas charge me almost 100$ for an oil change, but they also nearly broke my car by overfilling it with oil. And on top of that I had to pay another mechanic to find and fix the issue they caused!!!

Be careful leaving your car here. Someone got into my Jeep while they had it for repaires. A few thousand dollars worth of tools was stolen while in the lot. Idk how they got into a locked car without damaging it.

They will try to get you to buy things. They told me that tires had to be 6/32 to pass Inspection and that awd cars had to have 4 replaced at the same time. Well some of those things were store policies. When I said it was to much he asked me how much was enough. I was even told my tire fasteners needed replacement. I think they are the lugs which are practically brand new. Thinking of calling the DMV they should not be able to do this; if I didnt know any better, I might of spent all this. Sure my car could use it, but I didnt have to have it.Updste: They district manager called and explained some things to me and why they would be important. I get why the work should be done. And knowing that those tires werent the cheapest would of been beneficial at the time. I know now it was just some miscommunication and me not be totally knowledgeable about cvts. Thank you Rick for taking the time to explain.

The staff at Midas on Court Street in Binghamton NY is competent and friendly ... They kept the lines of communication open during the entire process and helped me by making suggestions. Chris in particular made sure I understood everything he was doing and answered my questions.

Took my car there for an inspection at the very end of the day. Everyone there was awesome. The guy that did the inspection even took the extra time to put the registration sticker on also. Very professional and courteous.

The folks were cordial. Ultimately couldnt help me, not for lack of trying.

The manager Chris and his staff took very good care of my car. There was a lot going on with my vehicle, but Chris explained everything that was wrong and what they needed to do to correct the problem. The service techs got my 2020 subaru in for 2 new tires 11-14-2020 and waited a few minutes while they worked and you can watch the whole service being performed on your vehicle and im happy with the service done on my vehicle.

Went in for an oil change and inspection. I had a coupon for a $19.99 oil change which said it covered most vehicles. They finished my car and proceeded to say they wont honor the coupon because they put full synthetic in at $69.99. They never once told me or the price or asked if it was ok to do the service. I was told to call midas international and make a complaint by the guy in charge. I did and have had to report the issue twice now. YOU NEED TO INFORM CUSTOMERS OF CHARGES BEYOND A STANDARD OIL CHANGE BEFORE YOU DO THE SERVICE!!!!!! AND WHY DO DEALERSHIPS CHARGE LESS THAN YOU DO? Update...after weeks of being in contact with corporate the situation was never fixed. I will never use midas again.

I had an appointment scheduled. I had even offered to come earlier and drop my truck off for a simple state inspection. I was assured there would be no problem getting me in. One hour later, Im told they cant get to me and I could come back the next day. Not a happy camper.

Over priced, paid almost $200 to replace 3 out of 8 spark plugs, I replaced 5 of them. Didnt replace the spark plugs wires. I did that myself. But free info about the car was OK

For as many times as Id brought my stubborn truck in for inspection and even though it failed a good number of times not to any fault of theirs it was that the reading werent clear as to the extent of the problem a new cat fixed that and old teddy passed. descent folks and never a complaint about them doing their best to do the job right. thanks gentlemen.

$70 for a full synthetic oil change? You must be out of your minds. I can get a gallon of Mobile 1 full synthetic and an oil filter for $40 at the store. So someone explain to me how I am being charged $70 when the total cost of equipment is probably between $25-$30? They also told me that my brake pads on the front of my car had 25% left on them. I bought brake pads at Autozone, and as soon as I took the caliper off, I compared the brake pads on the car to the new one, and it was actually at about 50%. They are cheats. I will never shop there again!

They were fast and friendly when I took my car there. Even before I went, I called and they answered all my questions politely which is why I decided to go to them. They were reasonably priced and had me in and out in within an hour.

Were unable to fix my vehicle but they were friendly.

Professional service done right

Dropped our vehicle off Friday night around 5:30 because the brakes were making a grinding noise. Was quoted $470 when we dropped it off for front pads and rotors. We thought that was high but needed the vehicle turned around quickly so we went through with leaving it to be done. Got a call Saturday morning saying the quote had now give up to $690 due to the back rotors and pads needing to be replaced. At this point we looked up a parts package on EBay and found a set of four pads and rotors for $160 and knew we were getting screwed. When we got to the shop to pick up our vehicle we were advised that one of the rear calibers also had been faulty, so without notifying us they replaced it and the total now sat at $873. This particular store has its labor rate posted at $110/hr, which is more than any dealership or other shop I’ve ever been to. The parts total came $548, and could have not cost the shop more than $100 at their cost. That markup is insane, and highway robbery. I don’t know how the manager can sleep at night. And speaking of the manager Chris, he was ranting profanity about having to answer the phone when we came in to pick up our vehicle, and complaining to anyone who would listen that there was too many people to deal with. We will never have any of our vehicles serviced at any Midas for the rest of our lives.

Midas in Binghamton has been servicing my vehicle for years now and I couldnt be happier with each and every encounter. They are always thorough, efficient, professional, friendly and the prices are always fair! Fastest in shop oil change I ever got in my life. 35 mins opposed to the typical 1.5 hours for a 20 min job . Very impressed and satisfied with there no slacking off and getting straight to work!!!

Went there for an issue because my mechanic couldn’t look at it for 5 days. Ended up getting a part (control arm) replaced, BUT the next day I drove it 100 miles away and it was a faulty part. Ended up costing me $800 with everything else included for their screw up. I was refunded about a week after the fact, but livid that they let me drive something that was NOT safe to drive. They definitely cut corners and I don’t trust them for anything. Use a local garage, not this place.

Today I went in to my previously scheduled oil change appointment with my new-to-me car, and found out it takes a special type of oil. I was not prepared for such an expense, and would not have been able to get my oil changed if it were not for the amazing resourcefulness of Chris, who was working behind the front desk. He worked with me, and was so kind to me throughout the entire experience. Oftentimes I feel like men are condescending towards me when I get my car worked on, but not Chris. He was polite and courteous, and also very respectful. I was so impressed by my experience that I will surely be back after the next 5,000 miles.

They wouldnt inspect my car because it had a different hood on it. My hood latches. Then they said they wouldnt do it because of my lights which are intact and in working condition. Wouldnt even give me another 10 day. These people are ridiculous I was singled out for no reason at all. My opinion. I literally only had to pay 21$ for an inspection and that just wasnt enough money for them. Dont come here. You tell one person they are wrong and they gang up on you wouldnt even get the hand book so they could be shown that what they are refusing isnt even on the safety list or the emissions list I recommend zero stars for this place. But in order to post I had to give it one star

Originally I visited Midas for a tire repair. The service manager was extremely rude. He had a stand off less than perfect professional personality. Definitely should not be around people. He told me, in a aggravated tone that my tire had a nail in the cord and it could not be repaired, I have to purchase a new tire. Noted my tire was in a new like condition. I asked him to check the computer to see if I purchased the tire form Midas. He refused, told me if I didnt purchase from Binghamton it wouldnt show up. He filled my tire with air and sent me to Advanced Auto for a quick fix. During my visit with Advanced Auto the customer service rep disclosed he too had a few unpleasant professional experience with the same managing service tech.The next day I visited Mavis. I consulted with Matt the managing service technition. Immediately he checked the computer. With relief my account was a validated purchase for the tire. Matt from Mavis was pleasantly professional, polite and he eased my anxiety about my tire with a welcoming sense of humor. I was made to feel comfortable with prompt honest customer service. The moral of my review is.. Matt from Mavis informed me my tire is repairable which means Midas tried to rip me off.I was extremely thankful for Matts outstanding humanity in customer service and wish there were more people like Matt servicing consumers, honestly.I will never forget my UNPLEASANT, INHUMANE TOTAL LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM EXPERIENCE with Midas.....

It was great they mount and balance tires for 20$ each John one of the mechanics there is really nice and above all they dont rip you off.

We have taken a variety of cars to this location, and are always happy with results! They dont try to take advantage of women or young drivers, and take time to explain things.... Not pushy with extra work. Chris is very nice to work with!

I got a 2.00 p.m. appointment for a regular oil change and complimentary tire rotation on 1/18/2016.The New Manager named Chris Skinner was there. He welcomed me with utter professionalism and the whole experience was as swift as it was pleasant.I generally do NOT write reviews for places, however, as it was obvious that he was working extremely hard to enhance the reputation of this particular Midas location, I am doing so now.I would strongly recommend this Midas if you are in the area. My van is 10 years old with 125 thousand miles. I bring it to Midas on Court Street for maintenance. They do quality work at a fair price. We just made it out to Lake Michigan and back with no issue. Glad I brought it in before leaving.

No complaints here. Scheduled a routine inspection and oil change. Got in on time and quick turn around. Got a detailed report of what was looked at and done. No BS up sells attempted either which is a huge plus!

I was visiting some friends in Binghamton for the weekend and not even two minutes into my drive back home to New Jersey I got a nail stuck in my tire. Midas was the closest repair shop so I drove there and spoke with Chris, the manager. Within 15 minutes they were able to take my car in to assess the damage and in less than an hour I was out with a fixed tire...for free. What could have been an extremely stressful situation was handled wonderfully and with great customer service. I would definitely recommend Midas to anyone experiencing car troubles.

Safety was Chris skinners number 1 priority.He sent our Chuck to look at it, and in minutes it was closed! Back on the road! Ive recently moved to the area, but have always trusted Midas in the past. I was glad to see that this Midas had the same professionalism and knowledge as others Ive been too. I went for just an oil change and tire rotation, but they also showed me the wear on my brakes and rotors. The manager was friendly and Im very happy with their work.

Well I came here to have my van fixed. I started out being super happy because they said they would put my struts on my van and not have to leave it over night.. So I was super happy. And well when it was finally done they said my van would make noises til the struts settle in. Bring it back in to me in one week the guy told me. So I did. He adjusted my struts and it still makes the same sound. They messed my entire right side front end all up and wouldnt fix it. I spent a lot of money there to have them fix my van. Very very unpleased they took my 400$ and didnt fix my van. I recommend going elsewhere.

Worst experience Ive ever had at a garage. Overcharged me, was supposed to provide diagnostic but couldnt tell me what was wrong. Over revved my engine, left in worse shape than I came. One of the workers thought he should make lewd comments about how he could see a girls panties up her skirt while she was getting stuff from her car in the middle of when we were discussing my vehicle. Dont go there

Very flexible, fixed our vehicle the same day when our muffler was dragging on the road. Manager was friendly responsive. Their prompt repair was much appreciated.

Only went in to check my engine light, was really nervous about having something potentially wrong with my car being a college student and all. The manager and technician both were very courteous and really explained to me a couple options available. Would recommend to anyone needing service or maintenance they really came off as professional and a couple of people in the waiting room who were regulars really praised how they took care of their cars...went to kost and a couple other places in binghamton and i always felt very sketched out but Midas felt the polar opposite

I’m in the Miltary and I was moving from NY to NC when about the Binghamton area I had some serious car trouble. I was calling all the mechanics in the area asking for help and it wasn’t going well, so I tried Midas and asked if they possibly look at it that day or in the morning. Chris and his crew not only fit my car into their schedule but was able to fix all my issues and had me out the door by the end of the day. I owe the team at Midas for helping me out even though I was a pain to deal with.P. S. Thanks Chris the A/C is kickin now

A simple oil change and tire rotation. I had taken it there before and i noticed they did not rotate tires. This time I asked if they had done it, they said they could not get the lug nuts off the wheels. when i got home, I noticed spiderwebs around the lugs, and all of them came off with a small lug wrench with no problem. I called Sean for an explanation as to why I was able to get them off with not problem but they could not with an impact wrench and got a huge attitude. Had to call corporate, and enjoyed watching them rotating my tires after being forced. I know it is a cheap price for oil change and rotation but that doesnt mean you try to get out of it. Will never go there again for anything.

I took my car down for an inspection in May 2014. As part of an issue notification they had all 4 tires off on the lift for the visual aid. It is now September 2014 and I went to go take off my front drivers side tire and it appears their technician had over tightened 3 of my lug nuts and stripped them. Had to break them to get the tire off. I called this shop and the manager claims that it was not their fault even though they were the last ones that touched that tire. The manager claimed that studs stretch over time and this happens sometimes even though its 3 of the lugs/studs on one wheel.

Got the work done on time

Got a new battery installed there and was told everything would now be good. I still was having problems so I brought it to another shop to find that the battery was installed incorrectly at Midas.

They are such friendly people. And did not try to sell me anything I didnt need.

These guys helped me out so much on a short notice in an emergency!

One of the worst trips to a mechanic i have ever had. Charged me for an inspection, snapped my emergency brake during testing, and then quoted me $500 to fix it. Plus i would have had to pay for two separate inspections.I will not be returning and i strongly discourage anyone else from going there as well.
