Chris was a great captain, we came it short notice on not the best moon phase or conditions but he was able to get all the kids a chance at a giant and a story they will remember forever. super nice young man with plenty of exprerience to provide a day of excitement to any level fisherman.

Great fish last week. Went out and had a great day on the water and caught 5 different species. All of which we had the local restaurant cook fresh for us before we flew back to Michigan. Chris runs a great boat and feedback on ocean fishing vs. the northern fishing we are used to. Highly recommend and we will be back. Thanks again.-Jeff

Captain Chris was wonderful. He is a MS gulf coast native who has been fishing the gulf waters since a teenager with a fisherman friend network that only improves chances. His vast knowledge produced great catches for us on both an inshore redfish/spec trout trip and an offshore snapper trip. He’s an aggressive fisherman who was willing to do everything he could to put us on fish. We had 2 teenage boys on both trips and Chris was extremely patient and child friendly. His equipment was good and reliable. He gained my trust quickly as a captain with his ability to navigate nasty seas and produce a limit of snapper. We look forward to going many more times with Chris in the upcoming years.

Went fishing with Chris Saturday, Aug. 22nd. I had chatered a different service for that morning. The captain for the one I had booked called and canceled Friday afternoon due to the storms coming into the gulf. He gave my name and number to Chris. He called me and we set up an afternoon trip as he was already booked for the morning. I had friends coming from out of town for this trip, so I was grateful.I had a 13 year old girl who had been fishing 2 times in her life. Both times fresh water. Her biggest fish was a 1 lb. Bream.Well, shes spoiled now because she caught not one, but two reds over 30 inches. He talked her through the catching and landing of the fish. She has a lot to talk about at school now.We caught several other fish that day, but that kid landing 20lb fish was the best. Ill be calling you.

Best charter service I have ever been on. Chris knows the waters like the back of his hand and he really does make sure every charter is worth your while. He works his butt off to make sure the hooks are always baited and the poles are in the water to keep the fish coming in. We will use him year after year!

I’ve booked 3 trips with Chris, and have caught plenty of fish everytime, limiting out on our target fish during 2 of those trips as well as plenty of bonus fish. My most recent trip was red snapper trip where we caught our boats limit in 45 minutes. We actually caught our limit faster than that but threw 3-4 keepers back because Chris was confident we could catch a bigger fish for our limit and he was right. We left there and fished for mangrove which was super fun on light tackle and caught the biggest ones I’ve ever caught. Highly recommend fishing with Chris, you won’t find a more reasonable price and catch the quality/quantity of fish you will with Chris!

Had an amazing experience with Chris. Super knowledgeable and very experienced in his trade. Have never had a more profitable fishing trip. 45 fish in 6 hours. Enjoyed some amazing ceviche and fish tacos for dinner. Highly recommend!

Stop looking right now, and book this trip. If youre looking for a safe captain that knows where the fish are, this is the boat you want to be on. Went for an afternoon charter after a thunderstorm changed the days plans, and did not expect to do very well. On the way out Captain Barlow mentioned that we should stop, and look for some tripletail. They werent here just yet, but should be showing up any day. ... well he was right. We put a few in the boat, and then motored on to where he put us on the specs! As many as you could catch and almost all of them over 20 inches. What an afternoon of fishing.

We have been using Barlows Charters for the last 3 years. Just went fishing a few weeks ago and We had a great time. He is very knowledgeable and makes fishing look easy. I highly recommend him. Great family time and lots of fun! Heck of a guy!!

Chris provided a great guided duck trip for us last season. We had two shooters who had never been duck hunting prior to our trip. Everyone had a great time and got to have a new experience. We will be back next season and would highly recommend Barlow’s to any sportsman.

Fished with Chris 11/19 under trying conditions he still found fish.caught sheepshead, trout, redfish and drum. Chris attended to his 3 old men charter and was very informative about the area and likely areas to catch fish.

One of the best charter captains Ive fished with. Ive been out with him twice with both friends and family and weve always brought our limit back plus extra.

Discovered Barlow Charters on a Facebook page and called him up. $650 for a 8 hour red snapper trip was a great deal. Included up to 4 people and everything else was taken care of.Me, my brother-in-law, and his son (12) met at 7 in the morning and the trip started from there. Captain Barlow was very nice and explained anything that was going on and offered up random facts on the ride out past the barrier islands. He handled everything for us: he readied the rod and reel, baited it, showed a demonstration, took the fish off, and constantly tried finding spots to inside we caught the limit.Upon catching the limit we still had a couple hours left so we fished for other species at a nearby oil rig. He gave us and extra hour (9 hours total). The ride coming and going was smooth and upon returning he promptly cleaned our fish and wished us well. Overall a great experience and well worth it to anybody wanting a fish in trip. He also offers 4 and 6 hour trips fishing on the back bay for drum, flounder, and other species.

It was very easy to set up our trip. We went out on a chilly, windy March morning and had a great trip. Captain Barlow is very knowledgeable about the fishing and hunting and is fun as a guide.
