My family chose Reno Babcock Auctions to administer the sale of my fathers extensive, western memorabilia collection. From the initial stages to the last gavel at auction, this company was very easy to work with no surprises. Reno and Liz were professional and prompt. Contracts and pricing were standard. This company is truly a family business. Liz produced excellent photographs for the catalog/website and Reno used his extensive contacts to bring in buyers both national and international.They worked hard to get multiple advertising formats: local newspaper, radio, national/international email advertisement and statewide television spots. Went to their auction last night. They would open bidding and take your bid, when no one else would bid they would stop the bid and put the item back on the shelf for another day. This only happens when there is a reserve on an item. This was happening on non reserved items and happened 7 times before I had enough and left. I was raised in an auction house lifestyle. This is not how business is conducted.I would like to believe what you are saying BUT I don’t. You claimed my bid and when you did not get another you stopped and reshelved the item. Please do not call me a liar. I know what happened last night and it happened more then once.
