Last spring our street flooded which sent a river down the side of our yard and washed out a huge corner below our in-ground pool deck. Our pool company came out and back filled it with sand but because it is nearly impossible compact sand beneath an existing concrete deck, it got washed out a second time. Rich from EFT came out and said they could drill small holes in the concrete deck and fill it from above with expanding polyurethane foam. We had never heard of slab jacking but were very relieved to know that we had possibly found a way to fix our pool deck for good. The guys from EFT came out, did the job in a few hours, filled in the small drill holes in the deck and now our pool deck is solid and secure. We couldnt be happier and more relieved!

I had two estimates done because of concerns of settling of the foundation on one side of my house. My main question was, is their active movement still occurring, or the signs I am seeing (old cracks) in a house that is almost 35 years old. The first inspector spent about 20 minutes looking around said settling never really stops and gave me a ballpark figure of around 20K to institute repairs.Richard, a geo-technical engineer from Engineered Foundation Technologies spent over an hour making precise measurements of how much the first floor had moved in the area I was concerned with, and concluded that the movement I was seeing might be other causes. He would not suggest any remedial action at this point, and gave me inexpensive ways I could monitor the cracks myself, He would only agree to do some diagnostic hole digging if I requested at this time, since it was not clear the cause of the old movement. This would not be cheap, but considerably less than the repairs suggested by the competitor for a solution that might not actually be needed. All this was done at no cost, even though I offered to pay a consulting fee for his time. At this point I will monitor the cracks myself, and if I see continued movement will bring Richards team back to do some diagnostic work.

We didn’t even know where to begin with our sinking slab. Luckily, we were referred to EFT. Our small slab had radiant heat. Both the Engineer Rich and his foreman Steve, are professional and friendly. They completed in the job in 2 parts. Steve used a thermal camera to find the radiant heat coils and drilled through the slab to the earth. Then they came back to pump foam into the holes to raise the slab. The reassured us all along the way. Our slab is completely raised with no damage to the radiant heat. I highly recommend EFT!

When faced with conflicting diagnoses of a possible foundation issue, Richard went out of his way to stop by and take a look. His expertise helped us avoid spending thousands of dollars to remedy a problem that didnt exist! I highly recommend EFT and Richard if you need a highly qualified and trustworthy expert!

We bought a new house several years ago in the Concord, NH area. After purchasing the house we noticed cracks in the sheetrock and windows that started to stick. We contacted Rich at EFT and after some soil testing it was discovered that our home was built on poorly compacted soil in one corner. Rich and his team were fantastic, giving us several options. We ended up shoring up that corner with steel pilings. The work was done on time with no surprises as to outcome or cost. We recently put the house on the market and disclosed the issue. Although Rich made himself available to our broker or potential buyers, when the buyers saw the as-built engineered drawings and the transferable warranty the foundation became a non-issue. I would recommend this company without reservation to any homeowner with settling foundation problems.

Reached out to the company to get an estimate on footings. After a week long back and forth via email and phone, the response to my photos from Richard Porter was “we cannot help you” followed by “even though we do the work, we will charge you 3x more than any other contractor.”Not only did the email contradict itself, it left me with an impression that they did not want to do the work and they did not think I could afford the work to be done. It is beyond frustrating to take over a week for a response and that was the response we got.One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone assumes that I know nothing about home ownership or that I cannot afford it. From someone who bought their house in cash and has many family members in the real estate :/rental business, not only did this company lose my business, but they lost many other potential clients. Would not recommend or refer.
