Dr. Armine Nazarian is a great dentist. She is professional, highly qualified, kind, gentle, and reassuring. Brenda and Alla are equally awesome. The office is very strict about ensuring that they’re following all the CDC pandemic protocols so I always feel safe! I cannot say enough about the positive experience I have experienced thus far.

I had a wonderful experience at Dr Nazarian’s practice. I got my first appointment within the week for a general cleaning. When I got there she took X-rays and advised to get deep cleaning. Unfortunately there was no availability for deep cleaning for 4 weeks so I asked the office to put me on a waitlist. Lucky for Brenda from office called me back within the week because there was a cancellation. So love the follow up! The deep clean was done by Dr Alla who was very patient and friendly. As a clinician bedside manner is essential to quality of care. Communication with our patients is one of the most important aspects of our role as clinicians because improperly educating patients is one of the leading causes of exacerbation of conditions that can be avoided. I think that Dr. Nazarian does great work but she needs to work on her communication with patients because it affects quality of care tremendously. I scheduled my appointment on 4/19 because I had a cavity that I was diagnosed with back 1/29 and it cracked and caved in a week ago. When I arrived to the dental office it was explained to me that I had two cavities instead that was identified from the previous xray but on the prior visit I was only told about one so that was frustrating. When I scheduled my appointment I told them my tooth had cracked and caved in but the secretary did not add that to the notes so they was not aware of the changes to my tooth and there was confusion amongst the staff initially. Potentially they could have been better prepared and I could have received the needed work on this visit but that is hypothetical. When I sat in the chair we began to discuss the changes in my oral health and began to review different interventions and I felt that she did not have the patience to explain my options well without me inquiring and asking further questions. I felt she avoided explaining it as if I wouldnt have understood simple medical terminology. When I asked questions and for further explanation of my options she began to become impatient with me, left the room and her dental hygienist came in and tried to educate me. She only spent a few minutes talking with me and I am intentional about being respectful so it was disappointing to see her lose patience so easily. I was the only patient being treated at the time and I found that to be very unprofessional for a physician. From the other room she said to the hygienist Alright, lets get started., as I set there thinking about what I wanted to do next. A medical doctor’s role aside from surgical interventions, and leading care plans is educating the community about disease and whatever is needed to clarify understanding to promote positive health. After she did a filling for one of my teeth she began to look at one of the xrays and I asked if I could look at the xray also because I wanted to have a visual/mental picture understanding of my oral health and she told me that she was a dentist who practiced many years and that I am not and I would not understand the xray because its not like the rest of the body even though reading xrays is a part of my job also. I found that to be disrespectful and if I did not understand the xray it is her job to educate me. She changed the screen from the single view and told me I could look at it and walked out of the room. I maintained my composure and patience, and clicked on the single view of my mouth. She walked into the room a few minutes later surprised to see that I knew what I was doing, offered to open it for me and then was further surprised to see I had zerod in on it and the specific area of my tooth that I was worried about. Im from Ohio, back home medical doctors have better bedside manner but since Ive been in California Ive come in-contact with many condescending doctors and so far I think the quality of care is not as good. Doctors should encourage their patients to seek further education of their health. As I set in the chair she stood beside me and stared at me blankly as if I should have just gotten up and walked out after the procedure which it would have been appropriate for her to tell me she was done, and to also wish me a good day and to ask her secretary to assist me with scheduling for a future appointment (basic communication). I walked to the waiting room asked the secretary was there any paper work I needed to sign or if there was anything I needed to pay for and they said no, she did not offer to schedule me for another appointment and I just thanked them and walked out. I will not be returning.

I came to her after relocating to Los Angeles. I was needing my teeth to be cleaned and for Invisalign braces. Dr. Nazarian did a fabulous job correcting my crooked teeth. During COVID-19, Dr. Nazarian and her staff went above and beyond to maintain their operations and sanitize the office thoroughly. After my treatment was complete, she fitted me for a night guard and retainers to prevent my teeth from grinding. With Dr. Nazarian as my dentist, I ensure my smile stays perfect!!!

I was seeing Dr. Nazarian from 2018 to early 2020. Unfortunately, I have had a poor experience overall and want to warn others since most other reviews seem to be so positive. To start, every time Id come to my appointments, Id be left waiting at minimum 15-20 minutes, and sometimes up to ~35. Id understand if this was a one-time occurence, but it happened every time.Her and her dental assistants bedside manner wasnt my favorite, and she seemed to be impatient when I expressed anxiety over procedures or when I asked her to be more gentle during my cleaning as I have very sensitive gums.Now the real issue: two failed crowns. I have had fillings plenty of times throughout my life due to genetically weaker teeth. Both fillings Ive had done at Dr. Nazarians office turned into root canals within a couple months. I didnt necessarily blame this on her, as I know my teeth arent the strongest. The root canals were done by an endodontist without issue, then Dr. Nazarian did the crowns.Within the past year, Ive had to have both crowns replaced by my current dentist in the Bay Area as they both had visible spaces between the crown and gums, aka leaking crowns. The first one she did refund me for as it was clear on the x-ray that there was a space and it needed to be fixed. However, when the second one was removed by my current dentist, they found a large cavity underneath the crown, meaning it had been leaking for months. When I called Dr. Nazarian about this issue, she became very defensive and refused to have a calm conversation about the problem. She said youre not a dentist so you dont understand whats going on. Not only is that extremely patronizing, I was telling her word-for-word what my dentist told me happened with the faulty crown. She refused to refund me more than $150 (I paid $1012 out of pocket for prep + crown to her), so now Im left to replace her sub-par work just 1.5 years later. If I had waited any longer to remove the old crown, I would have likely lost the tooth.I understand mistakes happen, but you should be able to own up to them and make things right.

Dr. Nazarian is an excellent dentist. Shes honest, thorough, and highly skilled. Her staff is very kind and a pleasure to deal with. Im just sad to be moving and no longer seeing her. Would highly recommend her to anybody who is looking for a dentist.

Dr. Nazarian is definitely one of the best dentists i have ever been to. Her attention to detail, as well as education on proper dental hygiene, is superb. She provided great insights and solutions for my dental issues and left my teeth feeling bright and shiny. On top of that, she also manages to keep to her schedule. No waiting around for an hour after the appointment was due. I could not recommend her practice more to keep your teeth and gums in the best shape possible.

I visited Dr Nazarian’s office a year ago for cleaning and I also a small cavity. During the examination when her assistant was trying to take the Xray, I was in so much discomfort, and I couldn’t hold the Xray thing with my mouth, she said that she need me to hold it otherwise they can’t see the last teeth! Although they had already the Xray cause it was the second time I was there and I vistied there a week before and I had done the Xray! Long story short... I called the office few days later because I had severe pain in my gums on right side, and visited her again. Thought it was my wisdom tooth although it didn’t make sense for me to have that pain exactly after my appointment and I was pretty sure it had something to do with that visit. After a long run I diagnosed with TMJ, jaw disease that come from damaging the jaw joints. It was six, seven months later after pulling my wisdom tooth that I found out it’s TMJ that is pretty common to happen in dentist’s office! 3 months ago I had so much pain( like most of the days during last year) decided to at least call her office and let them know what happened to me! Maybe the assistant could be more careful with other patients! Talked to receptionist, Dr Nazarian where hearing my voice and I could too, my call was on speaker, she didn’t give me a simple fake apology, and said what do you want me to do now??!!This dentist MAY be good in doing dentistry but as a human what she said and not being able to diagnose my condition and leaving it to get chronic is not acceptable! I remember her and what she said EVERY DAY when I have pain! And this TMJ thing is not easy to cure! now that I know about TMJ does not make sense for me how she couldn’t diagnose it cause it’s exactly related to dentists! Be careful with opening your mouth and pushing it when doing the Xray!

I had fillings from a bad dentist in Burbank, CA literally less than a year before I wen tto Dr. Narazians office. While I was flossing my teeth the filling came out and I needed a really quick fix. I just wanted to go in then go out. I searched my network to see if there was a dentist close to my office that accepted my insurance. Within a few minutes of calling her office they booked me to come in right after I got out of the office. I got exactly what I expected and wanted. I went in there and it took a few xrays and went out within 30 to 45 min.Months later I even got my teeth cleaning from her office also.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Nazarians for about 3 years now. I always find her to be very professional, knowledgable and concerned about my oral health. As far as I can tell, she uses the most modern equipment and takes all precautions to keep her patients safe. I now live all the way over on the east side and work downtown but I still drive over to Beverly Hills to be seen by Dr. Nazarian. Ive also never had any problems with billing or insurance processing. She is a very good and detail dentist.

She is the worse dentist ever! She did three fillings, which have fallen apart within weeks. She also did a root canal, a post and a crown on a tooth, which hurts when I chew with it or I tap on. Plus she over-changed me $700 and she is even rude - she brought another patient in the room while I was still rinsing and cleaning up. I suppose everyone else who has posted here must be a relative or a friend.
