Lido Equities has to be one of the worst Leasing Offices Ive dealt with. Theyre helpful to get you to moved in, but once youre in, theyre terrible at responding to any emails, lose emails, or simply communicating.Maintenance is responsive.

I have lived with Lido for over a year and a half now, while my rent be overpriced, I have stayed because this company has been nothing but excellent to me. The real heroes at lido is the maintenance and building supervisor staff... these guys are on top of it, anything wrong and BAM here they are to fix your issue. The office staff is always super respectful and the management team can be very accommodating. Its no surprise with service as good as they provide that they manage over 80 properties... maybe over 100 I think! Go with Lido and you will be grateful to yourself forever.

Overall a decent experience applying. They move very quickly, so be prepared for some rapid succession between application submission, leasing signing, and payment.Kathy was very helpful and moved the application along swiftly for us and introduced us to the building manager. They were nice enough to unlock the place once more to let us do measurements for appliances. I hope our experience at the apartment continues as smoothly as it has been so far.

Seriously, just ask for Kathy!She will help you throughout the entire process. She is so sweet and totally willing to answer any questions you have. She made our application process fast and easy and we couldn’t be more happier. I’m so thriller to have found an apartment in Los Angeles. Thank you for all your help Kathy!Also, Lucy is also such a great help. When I first began calling to ask about apartments she was so patient with me. I must of asked her a million questions regarding various apartments and she would always there to deliver. Once you send your application in call Lucy immediately, so she can look out for it. Once your application is in, ask to talk to with Kathy from there on out. Again, Kathy will take care of you.Thank you for all the help!

She listens to our concerns, answers EVERY question, and is soo very helpful . She has such a happy & positive attitude every time I call. Because of her, my leasing experience was a breeze! This is not what I thought I will get from renting from a corporate group. People who work here are very warm and caring. There are for sure human touch here. Kathy made leasing process at ease. We got approved very fast as I requested I had no other time to move. She also gave us all the information needed. She went above and beyond to get us settle in nicely. Sorry for the delayed review, but Kathy from Lido Equities was amazing! She was extremely polite and helped me every step of the way; from the application process to signing my lease she made sure I understood everything. This was my first time EVER living on my own so I didnt know what to expect. I can tell she genuinely cared and there is no doubt in my mind that without her, I would not have been able to get my studio. Lido should be honored to have someone on their team like her. The initial process of applying for a unit is somewhat of a hassle and can be more streamlined, but working with Kathy was great. Its very convenient to look at places as most are open house. Past that point though it is difficult to get in touch with a human as their leasing department only communicates through email. Thankfully I got in touch with Kathy for the approval process. There were issues with the first rental agreement but Kathy addressed them quickly and was able to get everything done in a couple days. She also gave me everything I needed to move in and useful info, including helpful contact numbers that arent listed anywhere else.Updating this to 5 stars because the service after moving in has been amazing. Shout out to Tom and his partners for the great maintenance. Incredibly quick replies and resolutions.

Kathy is awesome. She made our leasing process so incredibly easy and even gave us La Croix while we were working on paperwork which is like very considerate seeing as it’s what people in LA live off of. She answered all of our questions and even came in on a Saturday at 7am to get us our keys. If Kathy is helping you out, you will be in the most excellent hands!

The owner is a complete liar, and their operation is extremely poorly run. Their property I saw was very poorly maintained, with rusting bars, broken doors and windows, fixtures so old they couldnt function properly. Their staff is extremely unhelpful and flat out rude. Their contract requirements are very absurd, requiring 5 open credit accounts to rent; and their process is the worst you will find in the greater la area. They will not show you a property and can answer barely any questions since they dont actually see the units inside. Their office is very poorly run with receptionists who can offer nothing, not even capable of transferring you to managers or owners. They all are dishonest and terrible people to do business with. I urge everyone to look at Yelp reviews, as well, before doing business with this company. They also delete honest negative reviews. WARNING: AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I have lived in a Lido building for the past nine years and have definitely had a positive experience. They are immediately responsive to maintenance requests, and those that need to be addressed urgently are always handled right away. Tom has been a pleasure to work with and has helped me many times over the years. He responds right away to any emails or calls, and always helps with requests/issues to get these worked out as soon as possible. Hearing of others experiences with renting in LA, I am often shocked at the way some owners/corps treat their tenants, this is not the case with Lido. I dont know the size of this company in comparison to others, but they conduct themselves like a smaller, more personal company. I do recommend them if youre considering renting in one of their buildings.

Myself and my roommates applied for a 2BR/2BA in Palms, and our application was approved by the following morning. We had a little misunderstanding with how the lease was to be signed, but Kathy was very gracious and helped us sort it out.

They claim to provide air conditioning and then they do not. These people are disrespectful liars. Customer service is pathetic and nonexistent. Rent is supposed to include parking, but they denied parking for six months without reducing the rent. The owner of the building will probably write a nasty response to my review, which is basically proving my point that the Lido Apartment people do not treat people with respect. Truth is, the nasty responses to the negative reviews say more about the owner and people who work for Lido, than the people writing the reviews.

We had such a horrible experience with this company I felt it necessary to share with other future lessees!!!My roommate and I have been looking for a new apartment and we toured two different Lido properties this past weekend, we liked both unites so we applied with a first and second choice.Our communication has been with Nancy Morales. I have been the point person but it is very difficult for me to get a phone call or a returned email.My roommate unfortunately has some prior credit history that is not favorable, but it was all greater than 2 years ago and she has been tirelessly working on her credit ever since. She has since been able to qualify for an apartment in NorCal and a car loan on her own!! Nancy called my roommate and told her that based on her credit she would need a co-signer.I called and asked if it would be possible for me to qualify on my own since I have A++ credit and sufficient income to support the lease, but I was told by Nancy that is not possible because we would both be on the lease. I do find this odd given the fact that married couples could potentially apply for an apartment (the spouse not working) and only qualify on one credit and one salary.We asked that my parents co-sign and they agreed without hesitation given our stellar history and commitment to always paying our bills on time.The application was sent in within hours of when Nancy originally requested it. My parents did not complete their bank information, nor did they complete their credit card information as they will not be occupying the unit they are simply showing that they have sufficient credit to support us in that (which would be supported by a credit report).Nancy emailed back and said that she need a completed application, to which I called and explained to her that my parents are not going to be occupying the unit and they should not have to provide bank account information as it is irrelevant to the situation. Nancy continued to repeat that she needed a completed application and refused to understand my reasoning.Because of my very negative experience with Nancy I asked that our application be withdrawn. This experience has proven to my roommate and I that lidoapartments is not a company that we are interested in renting from. We are no longer interested in either property and we will continue to avoid all Lido Apartments going forward.

This place has 0 customer service skills. Like who is responsible for hiring their employees because that person needs to be replaced. Every single person I have talked to definitely possesses no form of customer service skill. To top that, the company has no communication with each other to the point where 2 of their representatives were on the same email thread as I was and when the other person was not available, the 2nd person in the email did not even know what we were talking about like... YOU WERE PART OF THE THREAD DUMB DUMB. I think my biggest problem with them was the fact that Julia (one of their associates) told me that I was able to drop off the signed lease agreement and check (which was already prepared) when I got back from my family trip and the day I get back I get an email from someone named Kathy saying the place has already been rented out. I called them to see what was going on and I was specially told I dont know what that other person told you or why she said what she said but we dont hold apartments and sorry thats it Like wheres your form of communication between each other?! Point of the story... DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT. SAVE YOURSELF.

The customer service lady was talking to me as if I was homeless and was doing a favor by just talking to me.. such poor way of talking just to a any normal human!! How do these people get hired.. Lack of flexibikity towards tenant situations. Unclear process. Front desk staff does not coordinate with management. They says to apply anyway and they charge you for running credit without informing which is rdiciulous.Overpricing property and utter disregard for customer care.You will nevwr be able to reach on call. Just hope they respons to your email.

Do you like questionable fees? How about a company that takes more than six weeks to return your entire security deposit? Non existent customer service your thing? If so, you will love Lido Equities.First, a WARNING: IF YOU LIVE IN A LIDO BUILDING WHERE YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WATER: EXPECT YOUR BILL TO DOUBLE IN THE SUMMER MONTHS BECAUSE THE WATER BILLS IN THEIR BUILDINGS ALWAYS DOUBLE IN THE SUMMER. (This is paraphrased from an email I received from their controller, Carmen (complete email available upon request). If after reading this, she emails me an apology, corrects her previous staetement, and issues a credit for the overages we paid because of plumbing leaks inside several units, I will remove it).Unlike many of their competitors, Lido charges their tenants for water... which is billed two months behind. One day everyone received a note saying that the water bill had been double the average so they were doing unit by unit inspections to look for leaks. They found a few units with toilets that were constantly running (faulty Lido equipment).As expected, the month after we received a water bill that was double what we had been paying. I emailed their office and after some run-around, was told there was an error in the water bill and we were given a 30 credit... and as expected, the next month the water bill was doubled. As before, I emailed the office to inquire if there was an error in that bill as well... and if there was, if they would please make the same adjustment as the previous month. This time, I was connected to their controller, Carmen. Carmen advised that there was no mistake and that water bills always double in the summer in their buildings. She also said she was reversing the credit they had given me last time. She offered to meet with me to discuss her findings. When I told her I would like that very much (on three different occasions) she never responded. So they originally said it was a mistake, then reversed that decision, and refused to discuss it. Now thats service!Lido took 29 days to mail back our security deposit (California law requires they do it within 21). When we did get our deposit, I noticed they charged us 70 for carpet cleaning- even though they had OKd the carpet before we moved out. I sent them a note with a copy of the pre-inspection report, which specifically OKd the carpets, and it still took them three weeks to get around to mailing that portion of our refund.As several other reviewers have commented, Lido realizes that years of treating tenants poorly is finally catching up with them. In addition to sending out an email asking tenants to leave them good reviews on Yelp, there are now two listings for Lido. (Im not sure if they created the second listing or not. Theres this listing, Lido Equities Group and now Lido Equities Management which lists the same address but a different phone number. If you call that phone number though, you are connected to the same office).The only good thing about our experience with Lido was the building manager. HE was amazing. Unfortunately, he only managed the building and took care of maintenance requests. He had zero authority to assist with the office shenanigans.Of course, dont take my word for it. Check out their reviews on here, Yelp!, and at the Better Business Bureau.You will do much better to check out a business like SRK Property Management. See my review of them to see how great businesses treat their customers.Spoiler alert: it involves them reducing our rent 50/month at the lease signing because between the time my wife emailed them and wed gotten to see the apartment, they lowered the rent 50/month. They confirmed with my wife that shed seen the more expensive price- and then surprised us with the lower price because thats they way theyd want to be treated as customers.
