Bethpage branch are absolutely incompetent. I pay for a PO Box probably more then I should be, they hold my packages hostage, working and not being able to stand on their long lines, they send my 80 year old mother back home vs answering their phones as they are unable to locate my box number they entered incorrectly. Hope when she goes back she gets an apology!!! 73k? These people are over paid

Mailed package priority 6/18 in Hampton Bays, tracking says reached Bethpage USPS June 19th 8:03pm and no movement since then. . Strongly agree with other comments that a responsible USPS administrator needs to be checking on whats going on with this place. There are way too many missing packages

Shipped a package from an eBay sale on Dec 11, 2020. Package arrived in bethpage on Dec 12, 2020. Package still has not left the facility as of Dec 28, 2020. No updates in 16 days, What a disgrace.

Sent package on the 2nd (2-3 priority) it arrived in this facility on the 9th it has been over 10 DAYS!!!!! Since it arrived at this facility there has been no updates on tracking. Called facility and people were rude and literally didn’t care that they have had my package for over 10 DAYS!!!!!! As it is now the 19th!!!!! What could possibly constitute a facility holding a package over 10 DAYS!!!! Unprofessional. SLOW!!! Incapable of getting there job done in a timely manner!!!!! I would have even gave them NO stars if google would have let me.

This is a very good post office with knowledgeable and very friendly employees. The complaints Im reading are from folks who dont realize that very shortly after you drop off your letter or package, it is then transferred to the possessing facility, then the local post office of its destination. Most likely, your package did not get lost here.

The young lady in the side door helped me with questions about my passport renewal. She gave me the form and went over everything I needed to do. Super easy.

This post office leaves a lot to be desired. I receive mail for anyone but my address. I mailed out bills in the post office six months ago and they still have not been delivered. I dont know if the staff in this office knows how to read the English language. Mailed an Easter card to my Mom in Florida on April 11th, as of today April 23 she has not received it. Where does the mail go from this office.

There are so many legit reviews and no action to this thief working at this location. My father in-law send a big bag of baby apparel and stuff when my baby was a month old. It got lost in here. Now my baby is almost 8 months old. This location should be closed down for the sake of the company, otherwise it brings shame into so many hardworking staff, not including those thieves.

I called to find out where my package is. Tracking says it left this facility 12 days ago. Sometimes things get lost is what I was told. Im allowed to call back and check, but they will not call me back, copy me on an email, or contact me otherwise. No case number, no report filed, Diane will just check with someone via email who might know where on earth my daughters Easter dress went. (probably on one of their children right now). When your package is missing from here, because, judging by all these reviews, it will be... call Diane. This likely wont be of any help, but at least you can try.Ill change my review when you find my package.... never.

No accountability whatsoever here. For the second time I sent an important letter Priority Mail from Bethpage to Manhattan. It was guaranteed by the guy to get there in two days. Since it was time sensitive I went for the extra money.The letter was sent to Brooklyn by mistake. No problem with the zip code, since when I tracked it they had the right zip code in the tracking information. They simply sent it to the wrong place.When I asked I was told, with a straight face we deliver millions of pieces of mail accurately every day. No offer to help, just shrugged shoulders.I ended up having to make a trip into Manhattan to fix things, and the letter? It arrived TWO WEEKS after it was sent. The post office response was Priority Mail is actually not a guarantee.This has happened before.It. Will. Not. Happen. Again.

This post office gets your packages and hold them to DARN long before shipping. I am very disappointed

My local Florida post which is always responsive, helpful and able to find answers office told me my package from Portugal somehow was scanned at this post office. No one knows why a package clearing US Customs and bound for Florida would pass through Bethpage, NY but once it got there it, of course, disappeared. I see all these horrible reviews about things disappearing at Bethpage and wonder why no supervisors, managers, postal inspectors or even law enforcement chooses to become involved. Typical unionized US Postal Service in the northeast US - nobody knows nothin, nobody responsible, no accountability and everybody looks the other way as the staff uses the package bin as their personal Walmart.

Beware sending gifts in cards like cash or gift cards to Hicksville LI ! There is a thief working at this post office delivering the mail, we sent a birthday card with some cash hidden inside it, it arrived open and cash gone ! the postal general has been informed, hope they open an investigation and fine and fire the person or persons they catch !

An extremely important package to me passed through this post office for whatever reason. Its been over 10 days and it hasnt arrived anywhere else. I live in MI so it should have theoretically arrived 2 days after passing through this place. I wish I had some control over where my package went. The seller cant help me since its not her responsibility, and USPS is of no help either. This place 100% lost my package, since I cant think of any reason someone there would have wanted to steal it. Completely disgusted by this service.

Two weeks ago I was waiting for a package from Florida to the East End of Long Island. It hit this post office and was sent out to Colorado. It was a priority 2 to 3 days that I received in five.Here we are again another package coming up from Florida. The estimated delivery date was yesterday Friday the 24th of February. I just called this facility who said it will probably be Monday or Tuesday because it sits on a truck waiting for other packages. They will not deliver to my post office with only one or two items. The only problem is it shows that it left their destination on the 22nd. And on the 23rd it says in transit to destination, which is the last scan showing. I have no idea where my package is!

My package has been sitting there a month. I’m in Oregon. There is nothing I can do from here. My local USPS can’t do anything. No word on my case#. The USPS Customer support line is useless.

I had a package go through Bethpage, N.Y. and have yet to receive it. It went through Customs and then arrived at Bethpage. After 22 years of law enforcement experience, I would call this a haunch that someone is jacking packages. My item arrived on the 1st of February at 2:08 am, taking into account that several other packages went missing during this same time frame it is easy to say that this is a clue of the thievery that is going on. If there are USPS personnel that screen through these emails and genuinely cares about the customer, then maybe this is something you can investigate or tell higher headquarters what is going on. At least let people know you are reading the post and simply saying we are looking into the issue would at least satisfy some and put the notion of genuine concern; placing some of us at ease and not lose complete confidence in the United States Postal System.

I send a lot.Between 20 and 100 packages per day.And I notes that IF some package get lost - it ALWAYS at the same location - Bethpage, NY.So Im sure that there is someone there who simply steal packages.SO now Im driving to Brooklyn (!) to eliminate the risk of stolen packages.I was losing at least 1 package per month and since I switched to Brooklyn USPS - ALL my packages arrive safely.Im hoping that someone from United States Postal Inspection Service will read this comment and find this person who is stealing from USPS at Bethpage, NY.

Ive ordered two things from a business that is near Bethpage recently. Both orders were shipped via Priority Mail and both orders took a few days too long to get here. Both orders were also scanned and marked as departed USPS facility but were absolutely still at the facility. Both packages shouldve arrived the day after shipping because Im a mere 50 miles away.This is an absolutely atrocious post office. My experiences with USPS are generally good, but this facility is just garbage. I hope for the sake of whoever is reading this that youre not in any kind of rush to receive whatever it is youre waiting on because theres a good chance its going to be very late, or based on other reviews, not show up at all.

A few years ago I sent a 25 cent piece to my son worth $200.00. I told the clerk what it was and she said I should insure, I never lost anything in the mail but she insisted so I insured. T.G. i did , it got lost and I eventually got paid. A few weeks ago I sent back a promo bare essentials makeup, got a tracking # but then threw the receipt away not realizing the tracking #. Guess what, lost, now I have to pay the co for makeup that I returned. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I will never ever use bethpage P.O. again. Something is very wrong there In my 72 yrs these are the only two times my mail was never received. I cant even rate this PO unless they had a minus button. This place is absolutely trash. My package was sent out on April 14 and arrived in Bethpage at the sorting facility on April 16 at 2:06 am. It should have arrived at the destination in Brooklyn two days after it was shipped because has priority mail shipping.If you have the ability to choose which sorting facilities your packages go through, definitely make sure they dont go through Bethpage or better yet boycott USPS. I know I will be avoiding it from now on. They do not take accountability for anything. This needs to be investigated especially since there are this many people with complaints. This would not happen with FedEx or UPS because they fire their employees that steal. They dont have some stupid ass union that prevents them from being fired.

Glad I checked here. Package has been delayed in transit there since Jan 22 at Bethpage. No explanation as to why its taking so long. Usps is seriously garbage. Wouldnt be surprised if someone stole it. Hope you enjoy the 3ds screen protector you took!

Its like they only hire theives. Too bad my e juice company chooses to use these clowns as the people who deliver their products, if that wasnt the case id never use them again There is no reason why people should pay for priority mail and get it a week later.
