AMAZING TEAM! The men from Shively’s showed up right on time. They took extra precaution in moving everything and even padded the stair railing to prevent scratches. They worked hard and diligently and I’m very glad to have chosen them for my move!!

Once they knew the scope of the work, they went to it and were done faster than I would have expected - in fact, any slowdowns were due to our reconsideration of furniture placement, which the crew happily went along with, repositioning items as we requested.A great experience and I would recommend them highly! Shivelys quoted my move, and showed up on time, with both a box truck & van. The team blew away my expectations. They quickly moved to empty my townhouse and was careful with my items. I pointed out a few broken pieces of furniture to ensure care was taken with disassembly/reassembly and they were very conscious to take my comments into consideration. The team really worked hard, and loading was a breeze. Unloading was also efficient. The team made sure I knew they would have no problem moving items to different areas to ensure I was happy with the way the rooms were set up. I cannot recommend this local business enough! The only thing that tweaked me a bit was a 3% charge for using the credit card on file for final billing. When you are talking about a couple thousand dollars for moving, it just seemed unnerving. The team did say I could call the office to request the fee be credited, so the customer service was appropriate for my question.

Extremely pleased with my move. The move was very easy to arrange. The movers introduced themselves on arrival, were very personable, professional, focused, efficient, and had great teamwork. They were very careful with all of my possessions. Everything arrived to its final destination safely. They also did an awesome job packing my storage lockers. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and if I need movers again, I will definitely use them.

Using a mover can be expensive, but they were worth every penny. We had to move after a fire next door damaged our building. They made an overwhelming situation manageable. Best to make sure everything is packed a head of time and move light items on your own ahead of time to save time and money. The faster they can do the job, the less you will pay. You want them to handle the large and bulk items.

Very pleased with everything. We have some older antique furniture and they were especially careful with this. Very pleasant guys. Would not look anywhere else if we move again.

Theres no way around the fact that selling a house and moving is stressful, but Shivelys made at least part of it easy. They showed up exactly when they said they would and everything was packed up and moved quicker than I had expected. I even had some older furniture (and not in the charming antique way) that I had debated whether I was even taking until the last moment. Wasnt a problem. They handled it, and everything arrived at the destination in as good a shape as it departed.

Everything about this move went extremely well, from scheduling to completion. They were very professional, accommodating, and polite. I would highly recommend them!

My friend paid 3,000 for a move. They left behind 75% of the stuff. I saw the movers on the truck smoking instead of moving. She was promisedA truck to leave stuff overnight and it never happen. The manager literally came in and started bossing my friend around.After bringing stuff to the new location they didn’t put the stuff into storage but piled the stuff into a room which is now unusable when there was 4Storage units available to be used.The furniture got dirty, they did not handle with care. This service was not worth $3,000. Don’t bother with this company. I was also there and witness these actions

My husband and I just contracted with Shivelys for moving and storage. The move had multiple legs, which involved moving out of our house in Whitehall, moving a majority of stuff into storage, and moving us into our temporary living while our new house is being built.Kelly Barr and the moving crew were fantastic! Kelly inspects and inventories everything. The moving guys were courteous and very respectful, we actually requested the same guys to move us again in 4 months.Kelly made it as easy and stress free as it could be with multiple move scenarios.We absolutely recommend Shivelys for your moving needs.

These guys are total professionals!They moved both our apartments into our new home faster than I ever would have believed.They took excellent care of our antique furniture and knew how to handle every hurdle that came up and even had some great advice on how to move odd items.A great tip I learned: the more that is packed and boxed (closed & taped boxes) the faster it all goes.I would highly recommend them!

Moved 25% of my belongings for over $3000, spent more time smoking cigarettes on the truck then packing my boxes into the truck. Ended up using 6 men and 2 trucks only packed 5% of the other truck. Dont let them rip you off too.

I recently used Shivelys and I was extremely satisfied. They sent 3 guys to my house and they were very professional and personable and hard workers. I would definitely use Shivelys in the future.

These folks quoted my small local move. All of the movers quoted an 8 hour minimum regardless of how long it took. These folks were more expensive because they wanted to bring 5 guys to move a 2 bedroom apartment 3 blocks. Their competitor is bringing only 3 for 8 hours and beat the quote. Previous experience tells me 2 guys can do it in 8 hours.These folks were my 2nd choice and I think they will be great for someone with a larger move.
