The ladies at Steel City Beards and Shears are amazing, I had doubts when I first went here but the are very knowledgeable. They can cut a mean beard but they also take thier time and give you very good advice on how to grow and maintain your beard. No appointment needed just walk right in.

Excellent, friendly service. Ive never had a bad cut or beard trim here no matter which person does it. The online scheduling since covid happened is easy to use and convenient. When it was walk ins only, Id show up and wait 40+ minutes sometimes (still worth it). Now youre in and getting a cut in no time. Highly recommend!

I had a hard time finding a place who didnt screw up my hair. Decided on trying Steel city beards and Shears bc of the great reviews and so glad I did. Ive been going for over a year now and the ladies are excellent at what they do. I find the prices fair and dont mind spending more since they know what they are doing. Ive been to specialty salons who have screwed up my color and have had my hair run. I have yet to run into that problem here and probably will not since Kristin and the ladies know what they are doing.

I used to cut my own hair for over a decade because I didnt trust hair salons or barber shops after a nightmare of a haircut. However, I decided to trust Steel City. Best decision of my life. Kristin is so funny and warm. She did exactly what I wanted and now I am a regular. I love it there, it feels like home. 10/20 reccomend.

I moved to the Lehigh Valley about a year ago after having the same hair dresser for 9 years prior to the move. I was extremely anxious to about going somewhere new but of course you cant just ignore your hair. I found Steel City because they are next to my nail salon and from the first time I walked in I have felt welcome. All of their stylists greet their customers upon arrival, entertain them with small talk about their families and their plans, making everyone feel like part of the gang. The owner is probably the most friendly person I have ever met and she has never even cut my hair. I have had 3 different girls do my hair now and all of them have been absolutely fantastic. I love this place, it is a gem.PS: the shop has an AMAZING black and red theme that really hints to that new school barber style and I think its cool as heck! ❤️

The atmosphere is very calm and welcoming. My fiance loves the place, and even my 80 year old grandfather loved the place when he came for a visit from Puerto Rico, and he usually likes to nitpick! Great place with awesome ladies!

Went in for the first time last night, and I could not have been happier! Not only did Kristin give me an excellent cut, she also taught me how to use my product properly, and even alternative ways if I didnt have a blow dryer. I will definitely be returning!! Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

After years of plain jane hair cutting experiences I was blown out of the water with Steel City. They are Modern, clean, friendly, and we have never left unsatisfied. Long hair, short hair, they do it it all! Their prices are very reasonable too! I am forever thankful for that day that I walked into her shop!

This establishment was a great find after enduring years of mediocre to just plain bad haircuts at the chain businesses, who focus primarily on womens hair fashion. The staff is friendly and talented and the competitive price is worth every penny. Keep up the great work!

Great environment and a better hair cut. The staff took time to listen to my description of what I wanted and explained what they were doing while they were cutting my hair. It didnt feel rushed like a chain would. And after a few days when I wasnt liking how my hair way laying they let me come in and get it fixed free of charge. Ill definitely be back

Me and my girlfriend just left and we cannot say enough great things about this place. I got my hair cut and beard trimmed and my girlfriend got her hair cut and colored. Everything was exactly what we wanted and the owner/stylist was super friendly and very informative about everything she did. I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great haircut and experience.

Good barber with great hours. Reasonably priced and very quick so you dont sit there all day waiting to get a haircut. To be honest the only downfall is that they wont use a straight razor for anything. Call that petty on my part but there is something about the barber using a straight razor that really makes me feel like I am at an old barber like my dad took me to as a kid.

After bouncing around between barbers and salons for the past several years, I think it is safe to say I have found my new barber. Kristin did a great job with my hair and beard and her small talk never felt forced or annoying. The place is clean and the decor is modern. I came here last month for a haircut and was very pleased with the result. I have been increasingly unhappy with the place I have been going to for many years. They never asked what I wanted (and never listened when I told them). The cuts were often uneven and would take a week before it looked ok. But at Steel City, I was asked what look I wanted, and also given some good suggestions. After leaving, I felt that I had got exactly what I wanted. If only I had found them years ago! Im actually looking forward to going back. I believe next time I will let them tackle a trim on my beard.

Was going to try this place until I saw they charge $20 for a mens haircut. I think that is a bit over the top for a mens short hair cut.Update 8-5-19It is not up to you to donate my money if I were to cime in. I will donate to charities of my choice on my own. Do not use donations as an excuse for your high prices. You advertise as an old fashion Barber Shop and that is historically Mens Cuts not women. If you want to charge Beauty shop prices then change your name to Beauty Shop and include a wash and style.

Great quality haircut / beard trim and high attention to detail (learned something new about how my hair should be trimmed based on how it grows in). Slightly more expensive than chains like Sports Clips but you get what you pay for!

I went in after finding them online and looking at the website. By far the best barbershop experience I have ever hadnso much so im already referring people 2 the shop. Even though I only get my beard shaped I see the level of expertise and confidence in ever cut (both male and female). I have yet to have or seen a bad experience there from any customer and doubt I will. Im glad I found them!

Very rude. My son and I stopped in so he could get a shave and haircut. There was only 1 person working at the time and she was in the middle of cutting a womans hair when we arrived. We sat directly behind them. Not once during the 15 minutes we were sitting there did she even acknowledge we had come in. He decided to go somewhere else.

I dont have the thickest of beard or mustache, but I needed a shave and a haircut, when I went in I somehow the barber only heard haircut commissar here I sit with my beard that gets Wilder and Wilder every day, and a mustache but slowly attempting to take over my chin.
