Joe Kline performed a difficult job replacing the regulators on my propane tank. I watched Joe figure out how to fabricate a new line and deal with fittings that hadnt been opened in over 20 years. Joe has a great personality and was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Im very pleased with Deiter Brothers and highly recommend the company for all your propane needs.

GreenWorks Propane (remember those adorable lime green propane trucks?) was bought by Deiter Brothers several years ago, and Deiter Brothers has continued GreenWorks great service. GreenWorks sold me a thousand gallon propane tank, ran a line to the house and another line to a whole house generator and a third extension to our gas grill, and now Deiter Bros. has maintained that service and filled our tank, without fail, since 2011.When I called Deiter Bros. several evenings ago to report an intermittent smell of gas outside the house (not inside), they still showed up at 9am the next morning and patched several holes in the underground gas line, tested it for leaks and then came back today to replace an old regulator and to do another whole house leak test. They can do no wrong.

I cannot emphasize enough how amazing it was to work with Deiter Bros! My wife and I were stuck with an old AC unit and needed help. They picked up on the first call and scheduled us immediately! Keith Noble was our technician and I would recommend him to anyone. He was professional, helpful, intelligent, and FAST! We are planning to replace our entire unit and add mini splits. Excellent customer service all around. Starting with the the customer service rep in initialing getting someone out - very nice and accommodating! CARLO was awesome! He was extremely pleasant and I felt as though he treated us as if we were family. Very kind, considerate and took his time in coming up with a couple different options for us. Due to the age of our boiler, we opted to get a new unit and he then looked into getting us electric heaters to use until installation. CHARLES came out the following day and we received the same quality of service - super nice and pleasant and looked for the best price. Would highly recommend this company!I just wanted to add a few more shout outs for the crew that helped install my new boiler and got my heat up and running - THANK YOU: DAN, RYAN, PATRICK, ANDREW & DUSTIN!! My wife and I recently moved into a new house and the furnace and ac really needed some love. The tech that came out to my house was Jeff Dillensnyder. He explained literally everything he was doing in a very customer friendly fashion (Im not an HVAC guy). He was very friendly and respectful. He also was very direct about what the issues were and what needed to be done now and sometime in the near future. So I did - past tense - have a favorable opinion of Dieter Bros., but no longer. I requested an appointment online, received a text message confirming that someone would reach out to schedule. No one did. I had to call to follow up and get something scheduled. Somewhat frustrating, but I got an appointment scheduled in a reasonable timeframe. And I arranged my schedule to be available for my appointment today, only to get a call saying the technician called off, and my appointment is canceled. And the best Im offered are appointments two weeks from today when Im not available, so it would be 3 weeks out from now at the earliest. And all Im offered are excuses about people calling off, technicians out due to surgeries, and how busy you are. A simple apology would have sufficed, and some, or any, effort to reschedule my appointment sooner. Needless to say, Im taking my business elsewhere.

Where to begin. They got our business by saying that they could install a ducted HVAC system when other companies could not. They brought all the supplies then realized they could not do it. So then they proposed a ductless system, several thousand dollars less than their previous quote (which they had said was the best deal). Money was tight, so we went with them and they installed it. It took at least 2 months for them to get it up and running because they werent familiar with the system and kept having to try different things. Annual maintenance was included in the contract, but when they came to do it, they wouldnt flush the system because they said they were worried it would break again. This winter, it got covered in ice and broke--we read the manual and they were supposed to install a cover to protect from snow and ice, but they hadnt. They came out to fix it and charged to replace a fan motor, even though the fan wasnt broken. We told them after that that we wanted the fix for free, because we had already paid them to diagnose it, and they had diagnosed it incorrectly (so we werent going to pay for more attempts at diagnosis). Left a message for a manager. A week later they said we need to find a new service provider because they refuse to do it.All we wanted is the system they installed to actually work, and for them to only charge for diagnosis once each time. Avoid them at all costs!

I have a rental property in Nazareth and last week, when the cold weather came to the Lehigh Valley, my tenant called me at 6:15AM to tell me they didn’t have hot water or heat. My tenants just had their first baby three weeks prior so my goal was to get this back up and running ASAP! I Called Deiter Brothers answering service and the lady on the phone was very polite, got all of my details and even confirmed the phone number and spelling of my name. Within 30-Minutes I had a technician call me and tell me that he was going to be leaving for my place within the next five minutes. I asked him to please reach out to my tenants to ensure it was a good time for them (remember, they just had their first baby and I wasn’t sure they were getting any sleep). To my surprise, he was totally okay with it. I expected a grumpy person because they were called out of bed earlier than they had expected but nope! This guy was very respectful and willing to help in anyway. I had a great feeling about this.Within an hour he had the problem identified and quoted me a price. Then I asked him how fast he could have the part and get the furnace up and running. At first I thought I would get the normal story of how he would need to order the part and come back – nope! He said he had the part and would have it completed once I gave him permission to do so.When he was done, he called me to let me know all was up and in good working condition. The tenant had heat and hot water. He also said he cleaned up after himself which I thought was such a plus!Later that day, I called my tenants to make sure all was good and they raved about how respectful he was while on site and how he worked as quietly as he could so as not to disturb the baby.I could not be any happier with their service crew, from the people that answered the phone to the technician that made the repair and if you’re having issues or if you’re looking for an upgrade – consider reaching out to Deiter Brothers in Bethlehem, you won’t regret it!

Deiter Bros installed a Generac standby generator at our home.. There were a few glitches along the way, including a shortage of generators, some very bad winter weather, and a delay waiting on the NJ inspectors to finally inspect the work.However, alls well that ends well, and we are very pleased with the high quality of the work done, and the professional and friendly pros who did it.For those interested, I would strongly suggest having the install done in the warm months if possible, which should facilitate a faster time frame.Just another note: 2 days after the generator was up and runnng we experienced a four hour loss of electricity. Let me assure you that when that generator comes on for the first time and you have all the electricity you need with no interruption, you will have a quick answer to the, was this generator worth the expense question...which is a definite yes

I am usually very skeptical about services hoping I don’t get ripped off and so on but Cody and Keith showed up at a same day request which was very awesome, another company was a week and a half out until I could get an appointment. Cody and Keith were very nice and were able to find the issue with my AC. My AC is back up and running!! Hello, had a service call for my a/c. Good mechanical outcome. I dont care for their business practice, nor customer service. They make you sign to the price quote, but do not disclose how they arrived at the price. Not transparent and when youre vulnerable, hard to know what to pay. I ended up paying $431 for a $16 contact switch and coil cleaning, and unit inspection; two hours of work, which the technician huffed about. I have an older unit, and the first approach is to offer to meet with sales team before discussing a repair. I dont think they are worth it. Looking for a mom and pop shop from here out

My heat died at 3 AM. I called Deiter Bros as soon as they opened. Ashley took my call and was very polite and helpful. She even called me 1/2 hour before the tech arrived so I could race home from work. Andrew the technician was amazing. He was thorough and very experienced. ****Edited: THEY FILED A CIVIL SUIT AGAINST ME WHILE MY FAMILY WAS UNEMPLOYED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. In response to the very rude response from the owner as you can see below. I really don’t know what happened to good customer service nowadays but this is shocking to me. I would like to add that we were only two months behind. We were out of town so did not receive their letters and my husband must’ve given him his old email address when we signed up. It’s 2020 so I’m not sure why your company wouldn’t reach out by phone call or text. Regardless we agreed to pay half of the $700 that was owed. We gave them $350 and agreed to pay the remainder of the following month. They agreed. Remember we were both out of work so an unexpected $700 charge was a shock to us being that we technically only owed for 2 back payments of $150. 3 weeks after we payed the $350 we received a civil suit in the mail! What kind of heartless company would do this during a national pandemic when they know that two people are out of work and have already made a major payment on their unexpected debt. So not only did we have to pay an additional $350 sooner than expected but we had to pay $100 in court costs. THIS COMPANY IS THE DEFINITION OF HEARTLESS GREED!I have been a customer of Deiter Bros for going on 3 years now. I have never once been late for a payment because I have the payment auto deducted from a Credit Card. Unfortunately my credit card had expired and being that I only use it for my fuel I was unaware. My husband and I both got laid off from our jobs during the Covid crisis and we had been staying at my Mother In Laws home in South Carolina for the past 6 weeks. Well today I got a bill in my mail from Deiter Bros. It said that I owed $800. They did not receive a payment for March and April. 2 months...that’s it. I usually pay $170 a month for my auto oil contract so I was shocked by this number. Thinking they would be reasonable and understanding of my circumstances during these unique times I called them to see if they could work out a payment arrangement. I explain that I did not get the email they swore they sent to me and we were just now going through our mail after being gone for almost 2 months. Why they did not call me or text me if my account was that past due I don’t understand. Definitely a poor communication system. The woman on the phone was rude and unsympathetic. She told me I was responsible for paying out the entirety of my contract and was unwilling to settle for a payment arrangement. To make matters worse she said that my policy was not canceled and I would not be able to re-enroll for oil there next year. I told her I could pay the bill in entirety right then and there (and struggle to feed my family for 2 weeks) if they would consider re-enrolling me in the program. She said no!!!! Haha!I work in customer service and my husband is a business owner. Again we are both laid off and I have never been late for one payment. I am absolutely appalled at the horrendous customer service I received as well as their inability to offer any sort of financial agreement. Mind you we were only 2 months behind. 2 months. I was able to get a forbearance on my car loan, my mortgage and even PPL and Verizon are not charging late fees or discontinuing service. Shame on you Deiter Bros for having absolutely no heart or compassion for people experiencing hardship right now. My husband and I will be sure to tell everybody we possibly can not to do business with you. Thank you for nothing.

As a new homeowner the last thing I wanted was a broken boiler in October. A friend recommended Deiter Bros so I reached out. They had a friendly and highly skilled technicians -Mike and Andrew- come out that afternoon. They diagnosed my situation and gave me a few options. And they were able to fix my issue that night! The pricing was fair, their techs know their stuff, and they were able to see me 3 days before the competition. When you’re dealing with no heat a 3 day wait is a no no.
