I have a pretty extreme phobia of needles and anything medical related and had been putting off getting my wisdom teeth taken out for years. It finally got to a point when I was in a lot of pain and couldn’t avoid it anymore. I even get scared to call places and ask questions so I was nervous calling to make an appointment. When I called I was amazed by how nice, caring and genuinely concerned they were. Just talking to them on the phone made me feel better. Dr. Rob and all of the staff were so amazing on the day of the procedure. They were very understanding, never pushy and truly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and relaxed (I took my shoes off, they gave me a blanket, heating pad, and headphones playing my favorite music while waiting for the medicine to calm me down). They never did anything without making sure I was okay with it first and talked me through all of my questions. I came in crying but I was so relaxed by the time they put the needle in and Rob was so quick I barely noticed it. Afterwords they made sure to reach out and make sure I was okay and encouraged me to call with any question no matter how small. I am so happy I went to Bethesda Sedation Dentistry and know if I ever need anything done again I can come here and get amazing care. Thank you!! :)

Bethesda Sedation Dentistry is a great dental office. The Dentist and Staff are competent and very welcoming! One staff in particular was very pleasant. PHENOMENAL dental practice, and this is from a former Dentist-phobe. My aversion to Dentists stemmed from my childhood Dentist, who was not the most gentle practitioner (putting it mildly). This fear of going to the Dentist let me to more than 15-years of avoidance of dental appointments. Despite my fastidiousness in taking care of my teeth, the 15-years of avoidance was detrimental to my dental health. Bethesda Sedation Dentistry has completely eradicated my fears of going to the Dentist and I’ve been a regular patient for many years now. I have never walked into a dental office that at once seemed so professional and so welcoming. The atmosphere is not at all clinical and very comfortable, and the staff excels at helping those with fear or anxiety to feel listened to and informed, with their boundaries acknowledged and respected. This is the only dentist in the area I have been to that doesnt try to convince patients to be brave and suffer through less anesthesia than the patient knows they really need. Theyre extremely responsive to inquiries, and the entire staff is warm and friendly.

Started going to Doc Rob after years of avoiding a dentist. With sedation dentistry & their family, caring office I completed major repair work. Doc Rob & Doc Deb have the highest standards for their work & I still receive compliments on my smile. I continue to drive from Annapolis for my check-ups, Kate’s cleaning & helpful tips & Rocky’s humor.

Dr. Deb and Dr. Rob are an incredible duo. My entire family has been going to them for a long time for a litany of different procedures and they have not just met but beyond exceeded our expectations--so much so that my mother insisted that they both come to her wedding next year. My first experience with a dentist was age five in the late 1950’s. I went there to have a molar extracted and was extremely upset at the prospect. Crying in the chair yelling for my mother, the dentist told me I would never see my mother again if I didn’t stop crying. I was off to the races running from future dental visits.Through the years I went to the dentist when necessary to get treated for pain and made many excuses not to have regular checkups. I just figured I would wait for technology to catch up to my needs. Well. As you can imagine, it took years, but it was time to get this settled once and for all. I began my research in the DC area and all roads kept leading back to Bethesda Sedation.Today it is a rare occurrence that an advertisement lives up to it’s promises, but not only has the Bethesda Sedation Dentistry practice done that, they exceeded all expectations.The team Dr Deb and Dr Rob have assembled are more than qualified. A meeting takes place every morning to discuss the patient needs of the day and when you walk in, everybody is on board and knows exactly what their mission is.I went full boat on the upper and lower Hybridge. The pain of extraction was eliminated with sedation and the pain following was fine and expected. I never took more than ibuprofen in order to take the edge off.There were more fittings and tweaks than a young bride may experience getting her dress fitted in order to reach perfection. In the end, BSD would not let me leave until they were satisfied with their engineering and artistry.My process began in the Spring of 2018 and was completed in time for Thanksgiving dinner.Would I do it again? I had severe dentist anxiety and hadn’t been to a dentist in ten years before finding this place. The team at Bethesda Sedation Dentistry understands my anxiety and take steps to calm me down, including simply stopping what they’re doing to allow me to relax, laying a warm, heavy pillow on my chest/stomach, using nitrous oxide, and/or full sedation. They never make you feel guilty about your dental routine. I have been going there for several years and now I really look forward to going and rarely need any help with anxiety. They truly care about you and your happiness, and I’m so happy about my great dental health and improved smile!

The cleaning was awesome.. My teeth was completely white after my cleaning.. They also give you the best advice on everything you need to keep your teeth clean and free of cavities.. Also they have recommended mouth wash and battery operated toothbrushes which you could buy at their office anytime during there operation hours..

Dr. Deb is so caring and trustworthy. I saw her after being tricked into thinking I had 8 cavities at Divine Smiles Dentistry in Bethesda. She and my previous dentist in NY were in agreement after reviewing my X-rays that I had one that needed a filling and two that could be treated with a prescribed fluoride toothpaste. I trusted her after that and Im glad I did. I saw her for as long as I lived in the area before moving to NY. I got invisalign with her and she was extremely thorough and precise. I would recommend her for routine dentistry and invisalign or braces. Shes awesome!

They offer sedation in various degrees so that they can help you overcome any fear or discomfort you may experience in a dentists office. They also handle all forms of dental work, and have comfortable, high quality facilities and equipment. And they validate for free parking as well!The way they do billing is different though, since sedation is not usually covered by dental insurance. You pay up front, and they they provide forms for you to invoice your insurance company for reimbursement.They also offer non-insurance, 0% interest, payment options though Care Credit or Green Sky Financing to help cover costs with payment plans that suit your financial situation.They are not pushy in recommending dental work that is costly or that you dont really need, and have concrete and heart-to-heart conversations about your dental goals and financial situation to be able to recommend and provide the best plan for you to reach your dental goals.My entire family gets dental work in this office, and they are like our extended family. Cannot recommend them enough.They are also LGBT friendly :)

A review cannot accurately describe how thankful I am to have found this place. I had put off going to the dentist for a long time... not just missing a few cleanings here and there, but YEARS, due to numerous, bad experiences as a child and teenager. I was so embarrassed by the state of my teeth and gums at this point, I wasnt sure if Id ever feel comfortable enough to get the help I knew I would need (which ended up being gum scaling and root planing; all while I was sedated and not feeling/hearing a thing). I can say with confidence that Bethesda Sedation Dentistry truly change my life for the better. I dont even know where to begin. I began my dental journey with Dr. Deb Klotz when she was located in Baltimore. Both her and Rob have been AMAZING with all of their staff. The entire office staff is warm and friendly with every visit. We normally spend the first 10 to even 20 minutes just catching up about the kids, pets, and life. Its a level of personal service and carry you rarely find anywhere else. Even with them being outside of my familys healthcare insurance plan I still go to them. I believe that speaks volumes to who they are and the kind of service you will get.

I found Bethesda Sedation Dentistry (BSD) while listening to WMAL and am So Very Thankful! They arranged their calendar to get my Mom in when she was here for a short visit and we found she needed emergent dental work. They quickly put her at ease, did a thorough exam, and they worked with us to find the best price and way to get her the care she needed during her visit. I was also very impressed with their attention to detail- blankets to keep the patient warm, comfy sofa and chairs for the waiting room, water, a charging station for your phone (with different charging attachments!), last minute visit so I could reassure her I would be there when she awoke, chapstick for post surgery, and the Best pens (Rocky finds the Best deals for these to keep costs down!). The front office staff are So Very pleasant, Professional, Courteous, and Absolutely Care about every single patient and potential customer; Dr. Deb and Dr. Rob did a great job in putting together their team! The cost can appear expensive, but when you think about the fact that overall good health starts at the mouth, its Worth it; besides, BSD does all they can to keep the cost as minimal as possible for you while giving you Excellent Care. Having been to different dental offices for my own care, the cost was Very Reasonable in comparison! They are also active in the community, giving back to those who need help. As a note, their office is in a building across from a bank and across the parking lot from Baldaccis. The sign is small outside their office- just look for the calming blue color spelling out Bethesda Sedation Dentistry. Thank you, BSD! Next step is finding a comparable dental office for my Moms follow up care out West.
