There is good service and then there is Mickey service, the type of service that will make a customer drive from Brookwood to Mccalla for service. It feels great to be serviced by a person that enjoys what they do or just have great energy.. either way Mickey was great.

Our tire pressure light came on and we stopped by to see if they could help us. They were so nice and checked all our tires and got them good. Definitely go back!

Bad service. Spark plug wasn’t even hooked on and they need to watch how they talk to people I won’t be coming back there and everybody in the area is starting to experience the same

They fixed my vehicle and let me know everything they did.Im grateful they cared enough to do more then the oil change I went for.I would recommend this Express Oil.

This time for routine oil change, was moved from lane 1 to 3, meanwhile 2 other vehicles showed up after me in lane 1 and 2, express started on these 2 as I was moved again back to lane 1. They finished 2 vehicles that showed up after me before starting on mine.Frustrated was all I can say

Had a nail in my tire but the tire would have to be replaced. Was on phone, the guy said I may need to get all new tires because of tread difference even though I had just told him my tires were only a year old. Told me tire would be their next morning. I dropped off car around 9am and was told the tire was already there! I almost waited but told them I would be back and left with my ride. Thank God I didn’t let my ride go. I returned about 2 hours later to pick up or wait in case they weren’t finished. Found out the tire was not in! Left again and finally got my tire replacement by end of day. As a business, always make sure you know what you say is true when you are dealing with your customers. Very frustrating. At checkout was not offered insurance on the tire either. Whatever. Just glad to have a new tire. Just question these people to make sure what they tell you is true. You know what they say about people that assume. Don’t assume talk to your customers. We take you at your word. Otherwise, friendly people.

Im impressed. Beyond the oil change, I needed a tune-up and a sensor repair (according to my engine light and readout). However, Jason and David suggested other things before changing the sensor - which may not be bad. In the tune up it looked as if an ignition coil was bad, which they changed. It did not solve the problem, so they took everything apart and replaced my coil - saying we will not charge you for what you do not need - nor charge you for the additional labor. They found a cracked sparkplug which caused the problem. My estimated bill of 526 ended up being 326. I expressed to them my gratitude for their integrity, along with their quality work. Im sold on these guys and am making it my vehicle place. Thanks!

Best EOC Ive ever been to. Had me in and out in a flash and found a leak for me. EOC is always great but this place has it going on.

This place is great. Staff is extremely polite. Had a long running issue with a tire losing pressure over several months but procrastinated about getting it fixed. Express figured out the issue. Didnt take long at all either, they got right on it soon as we arrived. Last but def not least it also did not cost me hardly anything. Meanwhile the Meineke center close by had an extremely rude clerk who said it wont be today and went back to what she was doing.Thanks guys!

My sons Mini Cooper broke down on the highway during a trip and had to be towed there late at night. He was dropped off at a nearby hotel for the night. Jason and David were very helpful in getting the car in quickly to determine what was wrong and to get it repaired so my son could get back on the road. Being a Mini the parts were not common so Jason had to drive to Birmingham to pick them up and help avoid a lengthy delay waiting for delivery. They got the car fixed and drove to the hotel to pick up my son and get him back on the road. It was really great service and friendly support for a stranded traveler. Thanks for the help guys!

Came in for a full synthetic oil change on my Honda Accord. Ticket was $68.xx but they charged my card $76.xx. I asked why there was a difference and the tech said he didn’t know where he got that number. The manager overheard my complaint and said he would give me an $8 refund. Though it took the manager 15 minutes, I did get me refund.Also, the tech who changed my oil bragged about Saturdays at this location they turn $8,000-$10,000 in business. Not sure if that’s because they are charging people more than their ticket states or if it’s a true turn around on vehicles. Probably won’t return to this business as it cost me $15 more here than my dealer charges.

Tim was friendly, knowledgeable and did not push a purchase on me that I choose not to do at this time. I appreciated his straight forward approach.

Came to get tires. They said they could have the tires by my appt at 8am. It took them until 10am to even get the car on the rack. Decent service but these guys are stretched thin and need more help. Everything takes too long. I was late to my other appointments. Don’t use this location unless you can drop off your vehicle or wait a ridiculous amount of time.

The treat you like a customer and not just another vehicle

Having an honest technician used to be an asset for Express Oil Change. Now, they see it as a liability. If a technician tells you the truth about their company making a mistake, have no fear, they will have someone call you to tell you the technician was wrong and that the company never makes a mistake.I went into Express Oil Change (McCalla) around 3/11/2019 with 286483 miles on my Toyota Solara. I asked for an oil change and for my A/C to be checked. I stated then that it was cool, but wasnt ice cold like it had been. The tech called me and stated that it was a little low on freon, and that he couldnt detect a leak, but he put some dye into the freon so that if it did leak out, he could find it. When I picked the car up, the A/C was working fine. 5-6 days later, the light on the dash for the A/C started blinking. I called the store to speak to the tech, but he was off that day. I ran into the mechanic at a near by gas station, after business hours, about 8-9 days after the repair and told him what it was doing. He said he would like to check it, but he thought it was nothing too serious. I told him my schedule and stated I would get it to him as soon as I could. Over the course of the next several weeks, I called many times and spoke to different people asking how busy the mechanic side was and kept being told they were busy and I would need to drop the car off with them.On 6/29/2019 with 288005 miles on the vehicle, I visited the Hueytown Express Oil Change. I explained to him the situation that I had the car serviced at the McCalla location and shortly after the A/C light started blinking and wasnt blowing any cold air at all. I also explained that I felt this should be covered under their 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty unless it is just low on freon again, as stated in their A/C repair policy.After investigating the issue, the mechanic stated that my system was over charged, and was leaking from the A/C schrader valve, and that my compressor was no longer working.He stated that currently, the overcharge wasnt by much, but there was probably a large overcharge initially seeing how it was leaking and was still overcharged 3 months and almost 2,000 miles later.He then explained that the overcharge could have possibly damaged other parts and for Express Oil Change to be able to fix it, and have a warranty on it, the repair would cost $1704.87.I thanked him for his time, took the quote with me, and called the manager, Matt, at Express Oil Change McCalla and repeated what the mechanic, James at Hueytown, told me.At this point, around 2:00pm CST on 6/29/2019, Matt told me he would look at my invoice, talk to James, and would call me back today. Being a Saturday, I wasnt upset when Matt didnt call me back.On Monday 7/1/2019, I called the store at 9:44am and spoke to Matt, and he said he was still looking into the situation and would call me back today. At 4:15pm CST I called the store and Matt had left for the day.On Tuesday 7/2/2019, I called the store around 10:00am and spoke with Matt. He stated that James didnt tell me the freon was leaking and that it wasnt overcharged and their machines cant overcharge because they type in the exact amount of freon based on the year/make/model of the car. When I stated that the quote James had given me stated clearly the freon was over charged, he told me he would talk to James, get a copy of the quote and would call me back today.On Wednesday 7/3/2019, around 8:30am, I called and spoke to Matt again, and I admit at this point I was disappointed that he promised to call me back a few times and never did, but he told me plainly that there was no need for me to keep calling and that EOC was not responsible for my repair and they werent going to fix it unless I wanted to pay $1704.87 and they denied all responsibility.

Ive been coming to this location for a while now since I moved to the area. The way I was treated today I dont think Ill be coming back. Waited in line 15-20 min never acknowledged once while waiting the employee working on the truck in front of me looked at me 3 times never said anything. The car beside me that was waiting as well got acknowledged but left due to the wait but a SUV that pulled up behind me was acknowledged asked to pull up to the next slot and got serviced while Im still waiting. I left when another service truck pulled in to be serviced and was acknowledged right away. Never been treated that badly before and my issue was quick I just needed my maintenance signal reset make sure everything was ok nothing was missed from the last visit. Maybe it was a bad day for them I dont know
