Ill be the first to admit that Im not the easiest client to record. I have my own peculiarities and idiosyncrasies about me. So Ive run into some difficulties in the recording studio. But the folks at Horse-Drawn customized my experience perfectly and expertly. Very pleasant personalities, very casual atmosphere. I never felt rushed, and, importantly, I never felt dumb or overwhelmed. (Even when I was dumb and overwhelmed.) They have all the microphones and instruments that I need, they have the best compressors and preamps Ive ever heard, and an absolutely stunning collection of digital software and samples. The place is a hybrid laboratory/amusement park for producers, songwriters and musicians. I wish I could give them 6 stars out of 5.

Great facility to work your music at. Friendly professionals that know how to bring the best out of a project. Will definitely bring more things there to be done and tell my friends to do so also.

Ive recorded in most of the recording studios around Chicago, and Horse-Drawn Productions is clearly one of the top spots in the city, AND MIDWEST, to record at. The entire staff is knowledgeable about music, music technology, and what it takes to record a hit. They use all of the top gear and utilize the latest versions of recording software and there are even Apple Certified Techs on staff. HDP also gives music lessons as well-Truly a great place to record your music!

The employees I dealt with have no sense of what makes a good musician. They cussed me out on the phone before I even got there when I had to reschedule for a family emergency. Do not give this illegitamate company with unprofessional staff your money.
