After considerable discussion, Atlantic Broadband promised to send me a replacement cable box, which was supposed to have arrived days ago! Just attemting to check on the status proved to be nearly impossible. Local offices closed, supposedly because of Covid, only two options available if you call, pay your bill or watch an instruction video. After getting around the automated system a few times, its an 80 minute to just ask a simple question, did you send it?

The internet goes out every night and I have to reset the router multiple times a day. They have a physical location but you cant go inside. Its good when it works but I wouldnt recommend them if you have another option.

I’ve been a customer for 3 years now and the only way to describe there internet Quality is that of a 3rd word country. Honestly North Korea doesn’t have it this bad. The customer service is nonexistent and will push it off to the unlucky person to make up some other reason why your internet is out for the tenth this week. If you could get any other internet get that over this.

Absolute worst internet service Ive ever had in my life. Internet goes in and out in my home DAILY for extended periods. When you call to try and get assistance, the robot says something along the lines of, were sorry there seems to be an outage in your area... we are working to fix the issue then HANGS UP ON YOU. There is no opportunity to even speak to a customer service representative. I was able to speak to a human ONE time after many attempts and about an hour wait time to reset the internet. This resolved the issue for about 2 days, then WHAT A SHOCKER, internet in and out all day again. These days reliable internet is as basic a necessity as running water and electricity. This company is charging me $130 a month to provide their internet service intermittently for about 6 hours a day and providing a headache the other 18 hours. Good deal, huh?

I have never been treated so poorly by a company in my life. If they didnt have a local monopoly in my area i would drop their service in a heartbeat. It is overpriced. the call center cant really help you after an hour wait no matter what time you call. I had a trees come down which broke my telephone pole in half and cut out my power and internet PPL took 2 days to get a permit to replace the pole and actually do the work. This happened on a monday after calling 6 times and being on hold for an hour each time I was told it would be fixed by wednesday... then thursday... then friday... then Saturday. Now they are currently telling me monday, and no one has yet to show up lets see if they actually ever fix my service.

If there was negative 5 stars I would rate them as negative 6. I have never ever had a cable/internet company that was this bad and I ve lived alot of places with alot of different providers. On top of the internet almost never working and after replacing 3 routers since we ve had their service. You have a minimum hour wait time to talk to someone. Then they want to charge you to send someone out to fix the problem which is on their end not yours. What am I paying for every month then. Its your internet your router your cables and your original set up but you want to charge me to fix it every 3 months. I have one request Atlantic broadband. Run away and never return

Constantly have issues with internet. Its very unfortunate that this is the only place you can get internet from around here. Their service is trash. You wait over an hour each time you call and they dont help you anyway. Constantly having problems and you get charged SO MUCH MONEY for horrible internet and get charged for someone coming out to fix your internet every couple months. Very close to dropping internet altogether.

I pay for internet that is constantly dropping out. If I dont reset the modem, it doesnt come back. Ive fallen asleep and woken up still with no internet. I reset the modem and it comes back for 10 minutes. I have to reset it multiple times before I can actually use it, and by then I need to go to sleep because I have work in the morning. It is ridiculous they are the only available broadband internet company in the area, and continue to raise their rates for subpar services they arent fulfilling. How do I file a class action lawsuit?

I cant attest for all these low ratings have been receiving fast internet for more than year never had my connection drop and when my promotional price ended I called them up which yea was 40 minute wait but the support tech was american and gave me another promotional deal that was faster internet for less money than my previous deal. They always on the ball but sometimes I see myself having to get up every now and then to walk down my 2 flights of steps to reset my router because apparently resetting my little adapter isn’t cutting it anymore. Can’t complain about the service I have my hubby our 4 kids and my folks here too and we all have our TVs , phones and extra devices connected every day and the internet doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

Wish I could give 0stars. Worst internet Ive ever had. We can only use them in my area , or dsl. Paying over 150 dollars a month for just internet to watch a screen thats says, loading error , because the service sucks so bad. Calling an operator is useless, they sent a tech out 5 times and still nothing has changed. Dont waste your time or money.

When it works its great. However customer service is IMPOSSIBLE to reach. According to their business hours they are open. It doesnt matter if I call at 9 am, 1pm or 5pm. Doesnt matter if its during the week or on the weekend. Im always calling after business hours. And Im sick of it. Ive been having TV issues for over 2 weeks now and I cant get in touch with anyone.

No live human support. AI support is an endless loop asking you if you want a modem reset. Even if you do this, and call back, you still cant get out of this loop. In short, it does not recognize that you just did one. The only human option is sales, which they tell you gives no tech support. HORRIBLE. Additionally, we are having constant internet and phone dropouts.

AWFUL!!!!! 7 1/2 years and paying the highest package for internet. Hours on hold to get CS. Modem issues (have had 3 new devices rented straight through ABB) and still drops, slow, no connection, no internet. Tech support is a joke. Technicians came out and said it’s the modem AGAIN... they left and again... DAILY had to plug and unplug to get internet working. And there’s an office right near my house!!!! Stay away. Stay far away from the services and products. Do yourself a favor....

Inconsistent internet service. Have lived in their service area for 6 years now, started when it was Metrocast, and have switched my modem three times because internet kept cutting out. They are the ONLY cable modem service provider in my area so unless I want dsl or satellite I have to put up with the garbage service they give me. Ridiculous that its $100 a month and not even their best package for internet only. Used to have xfinity and it was awesome speeds, service and value.

I have had them since they were MetroCast, and even then, the quality was super inconsistent. Like the other reviews here, when it works, its swell. Although it constantly cuts out. Connected, no internet. I even spent the extra money on all new equipment based off of their approval list. Especially with most people working from home here, I would never recommend to anyone. Customer service is just other people reading off of a FAQ list. They are just script readers, they host no answers or progress. Very high latency, packages are outdated constantly to try to get you to buy the next package up, to experience the same let downs. They host a monopoly over my address and I have run out of numbers to call. Im ready to call the police and report a robbery, because that is what is happening. They are taking my money without providing the service that they advertise. It cuts out 20% of the day. Everyday.

I pay 144 a month for network television/Starz (apparently basic cable is network channels plus Uncle Buck 24/7) and their most basic internet. Internet can be in and out at times, and the 120 dollars I am paying solely for internet barely rivals other areas of the country. They come off as rather exploitative and predatory towards their customers, being that they have a monopoly over my area. I was only paying 70 dollars 2 years ago, but has since more than doubled while my service stays the same.I’m hoping starlink will have something better to offer.Edit(sept 12 2021): thanks for stealing another 29 dollars from me a month. That brings my total to 173 a month for what was 70 dollars 3 years ago, upon ordering the package. Ive had quite a few internet services from moving around a lot. But this has got to be the weirdest. First of all when I had set up my service I gave them a card and told them I wanted autopay to avoid late charges. They told me that was no problem. For the first couple of months this was fine. But that card stopped receiving funds. Instead of contacting me to let me know I need to update my card info. They let my service run for a few months. I got my service shut off and called confused. I paid as soon as I had the money to return service to my residence. Now heres the fishy part. No one had informed me when I paid that my bill was going to increase. My next bill I received was $581 from my regular payment of $90. They credited half and I paid them off and switched my services. But now I have collection agencies calling on behalf of atlantic broadband. I spent an hour on a three way call to have them say this may be resolved soon. I dont even have an account anymore and Im paid off, it should already be resolved.

My apex trio was supposed to be kill grinding tonight but due to this companies lack of intelligence, my teammates service has been out. He was told a 5-10 minute fix. It has no exceeded 6 hours. Before Atlantic Broadband took over Metrocast, I loved my cable company. Since the takeover, the prices have raised , the customer support and service, is horrible, and the channel offering have degraded. Ive kept their internet service, but canceled cable. Ive saved much since switching to streaming cable channels. Id never go back.

Inconsistent internet that seems to be based on poor maintenance/infrastructure. We consistently lose internet and are 100% confident the issue is not inside but Atlantic Broadband insists on sending someone in ($50). On at least two occasions the techs failed to listen to me and ended up taking actions that left us with no internet for hours. Has to spend 5 hours on the phone and was switched to four reps before someone actually listened to me, whereupon the issue was quickly resolved. Over priced for a company that fails to provide reliable internet or practice upkeep on their lines.

Was told I could shut off my my cable internet for my rental condo and reconnect in December. I received an email that looked suspicious about a full discontinuation of service and called the office. Yes, totally discontinued and now I have to return all equipment or purchase it otherwise they would send me to collection. Metrocast used to have a Seasonal shut off, NOT Atlantic BB. Now I have to drive over two hours, over 120 miles, return the equipment. Plan to look for a new service provider!

The fact that there are so many more 1 star reviews than 5 star reviews should tell you everything you need to know about this company. Internet service is terrible. Be prepared for exorbitant wait times in the event that you have an issue that needs to be resolved. Atlantic Broadband would be out of business if they werent the only cable company in Berwick. Had their service 3 years..it is over priced, they ran the wiring to my house making it look unappealing that my husband had to tack it up in places, the internet runs slow at times..I wanted to drop their service but my husband didnt want to get satelite.

I setup new internet and television service in late 2018 for my home and I have been very satisfied with the quality of service I am being provided. I am paying for 100mbps download/5mbps upload internet service and I have been consistently getting the speed for which I am paying. I own my own modem and router and I know how to manage my WiFi network. I have a HD DVR for my television service and for the most part I am happy with the channels I am receiving. Of course I do not like having to buy channels that I do not like or watch but that is the nature of the beast - same story with Comcast, Verizon FIOS, Spectrum, Service Electric, or Direct tv. Since having service installed I have only had to have a tech come out once and that was to repair the outside box where the underground line from my home connects to their tap. That work was completed satisfactory. Two reasons I did not give five stars: Their customer portal website really needs a overhaul & they need to start phasing out the existing traditional HD DVR BOXES current customers have with a free upgrade to TiVo like other providers.

Such a terrible company all around. Internet was fine until they took over and now since they were out working on our neighborhood lines it hasn’t even been working. Long wait times for “customer service” which is just a call center with employees reading a script. Don’t give you any real help instead just tell you to do stuff you’ve obviously already tried. Told me if they have to come look at it that it’s a $50 an hour service charge. A family member has a computer science degree and has been looking at our modem and says that it’s on Atlantic broadband for not working. Overall this company seems sketchy and not worth what you pay for it. The hotspot on my iPhone has faster speeds then this so called company. Switching as soon as I find another provider in the area.

The service I have is not working for me. I have called on 4 separate occasions and sit on hold then transferred from department to department with no help. I was merged over from a Metrocast customer. I need someone to assist me so I can have a product that actually works or will need to cancel and look elsewhere.

If I could give 0 stars, I would without a doubt. I understand from reading numerous other reviews, many customers are in the same boat as I am. Just today alone, I have had working internet for only 10 minutes, and this has been a daily thing since Atlantic Broadband has taken over, yet they have no problem taking money out of my account to pay for internet that doesnt work. I dont want to see a response from you telling me to call a number. I called everyday for a week straight, and sat on hold for over an hour EVERY DAY. When I requested a call back, it never occurred and my account wasnt found. I WANT YOU TO LOOK UP MY ACCOUNT AND CALL ME and to fix this problem. How about instead of fancy billboards all over town, spend the money to fix your terrible service. I will be reporting your company to the BBB if this isnt handled within a reasonable period, because over a month has been long enough.UPDATE: Its taken me numerous attempts just to try to post this because I HAVE NO INTERNET CONNECTION!!!!!!

We were very pleased with internet service and had great speeds and no (or rare) service interruption. Now that Atlantic Broadband has taken over, speeds are often slow and Amazon/Hulu buffer frequently. That didn’t happen with Metrocast.

TERRIBLE customer service and internet. I pay $69 a month for internet, and I can’t open a single photo on Facebook 95% of the time. I’ve called serveral times with no resolution. Friends of mine have had the promotional offers applied to their accounts, yet for some reason I would have to cancel my account and open one up in my husband’s name. I never had a problem with metrocast. I am currently looking for a new internet service. I would give - stars if it were an option!!

Honestly this company doesnt even deserve 1 star. They have horrible customer service and have no problem leaving customers on hold for almost 2 hours. Ive tried for 3 days to get in contact to switch my service address and for 3 days it has been an endless battle of horrible hold music and the same 3 messages over and over. At this point Im about to just cancel my service and take my business elsewhere. They always have a high call volume and extended wait times but if and when you get through you get transferred around to people who seem like they dont have a clue what theyre doing. 8.3.2018: today the first tech told me that the problem is my Motorola modem. LIAR! Not only is the modem new, but my son just saw an Atlantic Broadband truck messing with the wires down the street. I called back and spoke with tech MIKE, WHO IS FABULOUS! I appreciate his honesty and courtesy, and I hope he gets a better job. Atlantic techs are in New Hampshire and there is no local number for PA (Berwick for me). BERWICK DOES NOT UPDATE THE MAIN TECH CENTER ON PROBLEMS DOWN HERE AND THEY DONT WANT TO WASTE THEIR TIME WITH PHONE CALLS, SO THEY REMOVED THEIR PHONE NUMBER!! And the techs have no clue what is up down here in Columbia County in PA.Update: after about an hour, the Atlantic BB guy says since it was formerly a Metrocast account, he has to transfer me to the Metrocast Team. And he cant give me any information about what is wrong or how long the phone wait time will be... Metrocast team tech finally answers--very nice, but cant help. They are working on it in my area.Very poor Internet service. Frequent issues and interruptions. Phone wait times about an hour. I actually got a person once. Very nice and apologetic, but couldnt help me. Of course the recordings always say they are always working on problems in my service area. So replace what needs to be replaced already. I have never written a Google review but after the terrible experience I have and continue to have with Atlantic Broadband I felt compelled. As an executive responsible for a call center it amazes me that there are companies like this that just dont get how important the customer experience is. We have had horrible internet service for 3 weeks. Over the last 2 weeks we have had 3 different on site tech visits, a dozen or so phone calls to their technical service department, messages to a supervisor and still no resolution or even an eta. The issues was identified last Friday where a new line was needed and our request has been sitting with the Construction Dept for a week now. As a person who works from home from time to time it has been impossible to accomplish this. Unfortunately, the options in this area are equally sub par. I am more than disappointed and will use this example as a what not to do for my department.Just tried to submit this post and it wont let me give them zero stars, so the 1 star in my mind is a big fat zeroRemove review

Had internet through them for a couple months. Got it when they were still Metrocast and had no peoblems. Great speed and everything. Now, last month my cc that was on autopay for them was lost so I called them with the new info before my account was even due. And afterwards the woman asked if I just wanted to make my payment that day. I said go ahead. This month my autopay was increased by $8. I called and asked why, and was told because when I called and changed my info and the lady took my payment, theres a $7.50 FEE! The lady didnt even say anything about it on the call the first time. Also told theres nothing they can do about it because the lady ran my payment. Horrible. Im an autopay customer and youre punishing me for paying my bill?! If I could switch to a different company I would but noone else services my area. Complete garbage.

My 80 year old mother has not had internet at all and she has no clue how to fix it. She called you and sat on hold for a half hour waiting to talk to someone. I live 5 hours away so I cannot just pop in and try to fix it. I am now on hold waiting to talk to someone and it is going on 45 minutes waiting as well. This is nonsense. She had no problems with Metrocast for tv or internet. Seems like you were not fully prepared to take over a service you do not give or provide contact for. As I am waiting on hold listening to your annoying ads over and over I am shopping what other providers are available for her.

Worst customer service EVER! Worst internet service EVER! Ive tried calling multiple times only to wait on hold for at least 30 mins till I just gave up and hung up. Opted to be called back and still no call back days later. Paying for 60mbps and lucky if I get 16mbps in the rate occurrence it actually does work! Ill be looking elsewhere for my internet service and will be getting in touch with the BBB for changing me for service Im not receiving. I wish I could rate your company worth negative stars cause Im sure I as well as everyone else would as well. If your reading this thinking of doing business worth this company I HIGHLY suggest you look elsewhere.

Internet has gotten slow since you guys switch from metro cast. We r not getting the download speed that I am paying for . Alot of outage with watching TV. TV goes in and out and so does internet its starting to get annoying ...

Ever since y’all (Atlantic Broadband) took over metrocast our internet has gone from amazing to HORRIBLE. Nothing loads anymore, unless this gets fixed you’ll be losing a customer.

Im about ready to cancel my service and go with satellite. my cable channels are always out and the wifi only works half the time. ill be filing a complaint with the BBB

This company is a joke. They say they are there 24/7 for our service, but they cant get to our house in 3 days to fix the internet after they bought out our internet provider. Guess I wont have my college assignments done and i will take the F because I cant access my assignments. Thanks.

They are the most expensive in the whole USA , They have the worst service in the whole USA , They do not treat the customers good at all they do not work well with there long term customers at all , a company is to keep there paying customers happy , I have paid my bill every month and have been with them almost 3 years and every year they hike up the price and will not offer a new promotion to there paying customers , Every month they interrupt service for a upgrade and we need to unplug all our equipment that is a inconvenience to us all , I am reporting them to the Better Businesses Bureau , We are stuck with them as to we live in Glen Lyon and they are the only provider .. Shame on them the greed is the worst of it all ..
