Ive always used h&r block and Ive never had a bad experience you guys are the only people who has ever did my taxes

Office close to my home; Easy to make an appointment; careful, attentive service; preparer answered my questions and gave helpful advice.

Turned taxes in on Saturday still have not received them yet

Do not let Helen Miren do your taxes, she was very unprofessional, ignored my emails and calls because she was nervous that she did something wrong. I knew that I would owe this year but she kept me in the dark for 3 weeks even though she had my taxes finished the whole time. It was an awful experience and I dont understand how a person like that is allowed to work at H&R Block.

Lynn Sherrell is great. She is calming, asks great questions, and I feel gets you the best refund possible. This is my second year having her do my tax returns and though I am nervous regarding whether I will have to pay or not and if so how much, I know she is getting me the best possible.

I am J1 visa holder, so it mightve happened only to me. I understand my case is not usual, but that is the exact reason I pay for! My tax preparer doesnt know about my case at all, so I had to explain to her how to do it. If I were not prepared well, I wouldve messed up seriously. And they charged me $252!! (price looked like

I love working with Max at H& R Block. He is personable and I feel like he has my best interest in mind. He saved me more money than the CPA who I had worked with for years and the price of H&R services are reasonable. I love their “educate the client as they prepare your taxes” format, with two computer screens for easy viewing and explanations along the way. I wish I would have found H&R Block along time ago.

The tax specialist made judgemental remarks about how much I spent on childcare. They also made a massive mistake on my return. Avoid this place for all but the most basic W-2 tax filings.

Max Track was personable, knowledgable, and helpful! There was an error in the system so my appointment was canceled. Max was able to fit me in within 45 minutes of my scheduled time which was very appreciated!

Viktoriya was wonderful. She had so much knowledge about the tax system that she really put us at ease. The efficiency and competence demonstrated in our appointment made me wonder why I didnt come to H & R Block many years ago.

I was not told up front what the price of my taxes would be and seeing how simple it was and not complicated at all, I thought I was going to pay about 100$. but it ended up being 198$ which is more expensive than a homeowner doing their taxes. luckily the tax preparer was nice enough to give me a 25$ discount given that I am a student, but that price was too expensive for just one 1098T form and with no other form of income reported.

I have a great relationship wit my tax preparer. That is the #1 reason I will come back. I will follow her where ever she go.. However H&R Block fees are high

If we decide to do tax with an accountant next year, it will be with H&R.It was kind of confusing to know the price and how the service works before talking with the tax professional themselves at the appointment. So, letting people know: the appointment is already to do your tax report, so take all documents, with summary of everything you need to report, to make worth the time scheduled.

The tax professional forgot that I request a income tax loan which means the money was not on my Emerald card that same day. I really was in need of the money that same day however I will have to wait for a month being the Federal government is closed. In short the fee I paid H&R Block should have been discounted instead being I didnt get the service I paid for.

Very unprofessional tax preparer. Made quite a few mistakes and had to back track. I had to explain that a letter states that I made “contributions” to my Roth and it is not “distributions”. She was late 25 min to our appointment and then tried to rush us out at the end of our appt saying “I have a client waiting. She knows me.” Then she said she can’t complete the return because of a missing 1095B form even though we had a 1095C form for the same months. We had to make another appointment to return and sign/finalize our return after she got back to us and said she was able to “fix” it. She did not seem like she had 20 years of experience.

The agents did not have training or knowledge about cryptocurrency taxes. I had already prepared all of the history and calculated gains and losses, literally all they had to do was import the files I gave them, and they didnt know what to do with the .TXF file and were talking about manually entering the data from the CSVs I had also provided. Came home, bought turbotax, uploaded the files I had created and filed successfully, no thanks to H&R Block. These people do not seem up to date or knowledgeable. Only see them if you have the most basic of tax filings.

Dont use H&R Block online. It is insanity. You are better off writing out your taxes by hand and mailing it in with a stamp--yes its that bad.
