My safe place to be always to get away from everything and come to a sisters action group who feeds you and you get seconds if you like. A park for the kids and staff who will help you with almost everything that the program offers. This is my place I started from years ago and havent forgot where I come from. This place help me and I help cook and wash dishes/clean. Love you all sisters of love and understanding us as woman in need at times when no one else will. Thanks much appreciated!!!!

I was looking for a coordinator number for this organization because I have been waiting weeks for very personal mail, including a check. Ik they should have arrived by now. Hopefully this gets someone’s attention. I was supposed to receive a call back, but am still waiting. If you have somewhere else to receive mail, use that resource first.Three stars because they have food, clothing, etc resources to take away. Be careful of the prepared food though. Upset my stomach.

Great assist to the community. Many services provided through local nonprofit to women in need. Wish there were more agencies like this in more communities around the bay area as the need is great. I encourage people to spread the word.

I appreciate all the hard working volunteers and how polite they are every time I went to pick up my mail or get items for my children or food and hygiene. Be weary if you decide to get any further assistance such as case management I found myself in a very dishonest situation and was heartbroken to find out this is happening and there is nothing we as clients can do and say it just all gets erased thanks for everything. But you ladies are wrong and I just pray nobody else suffers the way I did.

So many staff, volunteers and clients have been part family. Love each and all who are here and that R. I. P are missed. Meditation, solving personal issues they worked out with our people of all. Although new staff had taken place of past staff, they are always remembered. Each staff had different wonderful ways of sharing their talents, time and love. We may of had family other places but unconditionally this Women Drop In Center wàs always going out their way. Thank you Mrs Melissa, Carmen, Rosa Marie, Terry and so many I have not named.

I became homeless in my 50s with no relevant coping skills, PTSD, depression, etc. I had lived for many years in Union City but got a bed in a Berkeley shelter. For the next 3 years, while still in Berkeley shelters, the WDDC was a light in the darkness. I was there most of every weekday eating well, reading, being supported, attending group, and forming connections with the community. The women I met along the way gave me coping skills that no doubt kept me from getting eaten up by the streets. Ive have had my own apartment for 2 years now, Berkeley is my home. All my love and sanity, dear WDDC. Cheers!

A fantastic place to volunteer. The staff make you feel very welcome and supported, and the whole place has a very positive vibe, even with so much hardship.

I went there today for the first time and everyone was so nice. I had breakfast and lunch there. The lunch was delicious! I got a new pair of shoes and the staff was very resourceful.
