EDIT: they responded below and I followed their instructions. It’s been 3 weeks now and management has ignored the complaint I submitted.Ive had a pretty good experience at most Enterprises. However at this location, its been pretty poor. I had my car for over a month. When I opened the glove compartment after 4 weeks, there was some rotting sushi in it. I went by there to ask them for a different car bc I needed an all wheel drive, and before I could do so Hung was really rude to me because my insurance for some reason had stopped paying on the rental, which I was totally unaware of. He then told me that I would have to pay a $250 fee for the card I had because his cleaning crew is allergic to dogs. And that I would have to pay that fee twice if I switched cars. I wont be going back to this location.

Absolutely fantastic service. They go above and beyond to be helpful, kind and informative on pricing and options. I have almost always been upgraded for free and their quick turn around from booking to driving off the lot has saved me a ton of time and effort compared to other services. I cannot recommend them enough.

My girlfriend and I were in town and wanted to explore the Bay Area. Everyone at Enterprise was fantastic. Our trip was incredible and no small part is owed to them.We didnt book in advance, which was our mistake-this place is popular and for good reason. But they found a car at a nearby Enterprise location. An employee was taking a car there and gave us a ride! This was probably a one-off but indicative of their thoughtfulness. I also left a jacket in the trunk when returning the car and they made sure to save it for me.Cant recommend them enough.

Friendly staff and great customer service. Rental was upgraded at no extra cost and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a very comfortable 2018 Hyundai 4 door sedan. I like the fact that you can add an additional driver on free of charge at the time of rental. Only criticism of Enterprise is the price seems to be getting higher every time I rent from them.

Ive rented from Nicole twice at this location. She always goes out of her way to provide the BEST customer service possible. Both times, she took it upon herself to make the process as easy as possible, and ensuring that everything was looked after. I will be returning to this location for all of my rental needs in the future!

Had a great time in the Southwest. Saw all the sites and camped in some beautiful places. All the while, through all the miles, the mini van never faltered. Great vehicle, from good people. Enterprise is my go to agency. Fast, friendly and positive experience.

The worst car rental experience ever!!! Oversell everything and overcharged money without telling you.I had a insurance from my school, my reservation clarified how much I should pay. However, the front desk(a woman) not only charged extra insurance fee 10.99$, but also charged 5.99$ for something else and never tell me what that is. I called them they answered and told me will take care of my case but nothing really happened. I called twice during 3 weeks, final I went to the place ask my refund.I return the car during the night drop the key in the box. I have no idea how and why they are doing it, all enterprise i have been are always great, except this one.Some one under my review leave the email address, I have no idea who you are and I emailed you guys several times before, you just did NOT answer.I will never go to this place to rent a car but nothing really related with enterprise. This is like a fake enterprise company grabbing all money in its neighborhood.

The car I was given needed maintenance work. Why would Enterprise rent a malfunctioned auto to a customer?I was the one who had to drive (the rental) down to the repair shop while I waited for almost an hour before it was repaired and safe to drive. Is this normal? Shouldnt I have been compensated in some way since my trip was delayed because of THEIR mistake.Shouldnt I, at the very least, receive an Im sorry note or something similar? Am I being too critical and unreasonable? Whats up with Enterprise? Hello?

My friend and I booked a car and we did recieve the confirmation letter. However, when we reached there to pick up, they simply told us that the car was not available..... We ended up waking up so early in vain.....nice customer service~

Worst place to rent a car. They told us a price when we booked, and when we picked up the car they told us another price, obviously expensive. If your English is not perfect they will laugh at you. I have never had such bad customer service. I will never rent a car in this company again.

The check out of the car is quick. But the sale person just mentions a basic insurance coverage plan which does not break down what it includes. So I end up buying some insurance that I dont really need.

I booked a car on the internet. I was one hour late and they gave the car to another person. It ruins my entire vacation with my family because I was then not able to rent a decent car! 😕

I called and booked a car I Ask for a pacific kind of car. I was ordered to call back the next morning to check their inventory I called back the next morning he was like oh you’re not a Berkeley resident so I cannot rent to you and it totally messed up my plans when he could’ve told me all this the day before so now they’re ordering me to go back online and make reservations when I’m looking for pacific car very bad customer service

Terrible and incompetent customer service and rude managers. I needed to move and placed a reservation for a van a few days prior to the day I needed it. Things seemed to be going smoothly, but the desk called to confirm the reservation the night before pickup and all of a sudden had a problem with my age. The person who made the reservation failed to catch the fact they they dont rent vans to anyone under the age of 25. So here I am the night before I have to move with no means of transportation. When I asked to speak to a manger he was unsympathetic, defended the incompetency of his staff, refused any sort of compensation and offered no good solutions or referrals to a competing service. Enterprise has lost my business completely. I will never be using their rental service again.

The customer service at this location is the worst I have experienced. Similar to other reviews, I made a reservation weeks in advance, and when I arrived was told that no car was available for me. They simply made excuses, like I had arrived too late and they often have customers not show up for a reservation. I am a frequent business renter at Enterprise, they know that I pick up my car for every reservation. In this case they did not even try to call me. The staff would not offer any help, and the manager, Madisyn O’Brein, refused to say even one word to me. I ended up having to ride to Oakland airport to rent a car. Avoid this place at all costs!

Absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced in the 5 years of renting from Enterprise. Reservation was accepted online however when we arrived to pick up the vehicle, we were turned away. The representative ( Maddie) claimed no vehicles were on the lot. When this reason was questioned she displayed a horrible attitude and complained about her working conditions. I travel often for my work and have always used enterprise, however due to her customer service I will not be making any further bookings with this company.

It was one of the worst service I ever had. The manager Ms Madysin was not polite to us and was not trying to be helpful or show any mercy when we had a credit card problem, and she almost ruined our whole mood of traveling.DONT RENT A CAR HERE, go to hertz on san pablo ave, they might be further from campus but they can call lyft for you for free, and they have better insurance plan with slightly higher rate, but totally worth it, and their service attitude is WAY NICER.(however Mr. Owen at Enterprise is very nice and chill, we do like him a lot, still have to give him credit.)

On July 23 (2016) we just wanted to add my brother as the additional driver (I rented the car from their Mountain View branch). A guy named Cameron was very disrespectful to us, wasted so much time to ask so many optional question. We respectfully asked him to skip the optional questions. He threw my brothers license and said youre done. We first thought it might be just an accident. He did the same thing to me moments later: very obviously he made sure that he throws my license and we would notice it.There were another lady working hard, but overall the whole branch seemed very very inefficient. Unfortunately seems Enterprise branches customer service vary a lot.

Made reservation, took bus to location, lady at counter did not honor reservation and was quite rude about it. Small hut used for office also extremely hot, cant imagine how employees suffer through it.

Guy didnt go over anything with me, just gave me the keys. I had to ask for insurance, wasnt even offered. I havent rented in a while (from Enterprise) so forgot I had to refill the gas tank to where it was supposed to be when I left. No one reminded me or told me to begin with...there was no where to park in the Enterprise lot by the time I returned so I had to find a spot on the street. I had the option of driving to refill and come back and find parking again or just pay out. I paid out. Cost me almost $200 for a day and a half of car rental. Usually dont leave reviews but your amazing marketing team keeps pestering me so here you go... please improve your business. It sucks so much to hear how Enterprise is so geared toward customer experience when you really arent. Youre almost worse than Comcast at this point. But like Comcast, we dont have much choice. Next time doing ZipCar for a smaller trip for sure though... or GetAround.

When I picked up the car, Nicole without notice added optional charges to my online reservation. Didnt offer to inspect the vehicle for damage. Didnt email me the contract until I called them back later in the day to request it. Was rude when I challenged her to stick to the terms of the original reservation.
