Well husband called for a taxi ,he was in hoosick falls, there are no taxis in that town. And Walts refused to pick him up

We needed to go to Price Chopper and they said 15 to 20 minutes they came an hour later they kept picking up people not going with the Covid thing we had a full car of different people, also our driver was whipping around corners fast where it went over the yellow lines, and we got to the store way later, then when we needed to be picked up they said 20 minutes. 3 hours we waited kept trying to call and it went to voice mail never again

Never on time. They dont enforce masks or social distancing. Infact the obese male driver thinks covid is a hoax and goes out of his way to pack the cab full of people, which is something that didnt happen before covid. He also doesnt ask anyone to wear masks when he has the cab packed full. When I say something he scoffs. One time a lady was in the cab with us and said her brother just died from covid, and when I suggested she put a mask on he told her not to worry about it!

I was told taxi would pick me up in fifteen minutes and ended up waiting an hour...The driver was not wearing a mask and neither was the passenger in the front.. Then we made a stop for the other passenger and waited another ten minutes for him to come out of the store... Unfortunately this is the only taxi service in town.

Not only did I get left waiting for 45 mins longer than told (which is understandable) when then finally showed up thry strolled through the parking lot so quick I couldnt catch up to the car and they did not wait at all they just left. I was sitting outside freezing with a shopping cart full of groceries I got stuck walking from Walmart to silver st with a fully loaded hi jacked walmart cart. I completely understand 2.3 star rating which seems to be 2 stars too hi in my opinion.

Called him and didnt even wait 2 minutes for me to come downstairs

Tj is the worst driver. There is a COVID problem and he packs 3 different pick ups in one ride..let’s get everyone sick not to mention he always changes more then the other driver

Always late. If your in a rush or planning to be some where dont expect it from these guys trust me. Weve had to wait over hrs before. Now its on 24 hr call so dont bother calling ahead of time. Still run ur pocket like they didint make you wait for ever

We had a good experience August 12, 2018 with this outfit. We were hiking the Long Trail and needed to get a delivery from Bennington VT to North Adams MA. I called Walts and Chris was very helpful and John showed up promptly. Price was reasonable and John is a tad redneck, but all good. He did a fine job delivering us to our destination!

Never on time. Pretty sure the son isn’t supposed to be driving for serious reasons also.. not good with keeping in mind he needs to use his turn signals. Mikes is much better and more professional. Safer driver. On time.

Trashy Service and the number you call to voice your complaints to: oh yeah thats Walt himself...your favorite taxi driver / manager. We dont even hire a secretary to do the job cause that means splitting the profits in half. So if you got any complaints Waltz is who you want to talk to if you want to be given a rubberstamped I mean courteous response from.

I have been using this taxi company for a few months regularly, about a few times a week. the last few weeks the cars take over an hour to pick me up, i had an appointment to get picked up and they never showed. definitely will be using different service from now on. too cold to be waiting that long for a ride.

This morning my car battery die and I call Walt’s taxi helping me take my son go to middle school .after I talk with her on phone ,my son so worry he will go to school late . But is not We went outside and she arrived too and she didn’t charge expensive either ( only $5.00 from north street go to school ) and She really nice person and on time .im so happy with them service and my son go school on time today .

This company used to be good, now they take too long to pick you up, and a few of the drivers have been quite rude. Will not be using them again, idc. Too pregnant to be so frustrated about getting rides around town.

Would be a great cab service if the dispatcher would actually dispatch the cars. Constantly late pick ups because she doesnt tell the drivers when someone has scheduled a timed pick up.

Walt saved our bacon. We couldnt find a taxi in Burly for love nor money. Tried Uber and other taxi companies and managed to get a ride from the Woody Harrelson lookalike himself. Got to us within 5 minutes of hanging up .What more could you want? Good, honest ride.

I was told Id have to wait 25 minutes for an in town trip. Ended up waiting an hour, and when the cab arrived it was dirty and full of 3 other passengers laundry! They wouldnt accept Visa so I had to duck into a gas station to use the ATM, then they had the gall to charge me for the stop! Businesses like this are why Bennington is never gonna improve...

I called one day in advance for a 6:00am pick up from Hoosick Falls going to Bennington. At 6:05 am the day of the ride I called to see where they were only to find out they were at the same pick up address in Bennington, not Hoosick Falls. (A place in Bennington had the same address as my pick up address in Hoosick Falls) There is a lack of communication at this business. Also the taxi smelled of cigarettes, check engine, tire pressure and ABS lights were on and there was a 10 crack in the front windshield.I was forced to use this service because it is the only one in this area, no Uber, Lyft or public transportation. I would not use this service unless you have absolutely no other choice. Do not count on them to get you where you need to be at a specific time.

Could give 0 stars if I could. I called and asked for a 10 minuet ride (not even) from the hospital to town (which is $6). To walmart from my house in town its $5. I only have $4 and had been left at the hospital waiting HOURS for my ride. I called and asked the price hoping they would work with me. I called and they told me six and, she asked if I still needed a ride I said no I only have 4 dollars. I was told wait for the bus. its 29 degrees out and my house is a good 20 mins from the bus stop. Extremely unpleased. Not to mention every other time I call they are ALWAYS late! This company has never been on time. Not even worth the time or money.

Usually decent service, but I have had a few other bad experiences with them in the past. Today I was very disappointed. I had a vets appointment for my three month old kitten and called Walts Taxi for a ride, like I have always done for her appointments. They said they would be about twenty minutes, thats fine. Half hour goes by and I called them again and THEN they decided to tell me they were going to be another half hour. Extremely unprofessional. If you know you are going to be running late, it is your job to let people know that. Missed my appointment and also missed a day of work that I could not afford because of these people. Next time, do your job, be professional and let me know.

In our case, no other taxi service at bennington picked our call; and this was the only taxi service that we could contact. It was such a relief to get their service: they were kind, friendly, quick and reasonable.

Called a cab Friday from Price Chopper, and it took 45 minutes. The driver shown up and he was extremely rude and demeaning.......They also wouldnt bring us to Sunderland and I was willing to pay what it took. Will take Monument Taxi...Much more friendly, will drive us to Sunderland, and much faster

This town has almost no Ubers or Lyfts available, and we found Walt’s Taxi to be very dependable.

My fiance asked for a ride to work and they never showed up even after we called like three times confirming that they were on the way . This isnt the only time something similar has happened I have made time calls hours in advance to be dropped off at work and they are always late. This morning I tried calling to get a ride from a motel to our house but they hung up mid conversation leaving us to walk with all our stuff in the heat .

The driver dropped my mother at the wrong location and was very rude. She told him multiple times that the location was incorrect but he would not listen, he just took her bags out of the taxi and left. If it werent for a kind lady who witnessed the event and took her to the right location, she would have missed her bus to the airport.

Drivers are friendly and dont make you wait 45 minutes for a ride. If you place a timed pickup they show up and best of all they are much cheaper than Bennington taxi.

They are horrible when it comes to answering the phone. Tried getting a hold of them for a half hour and I keep getting sent to voicemail now after only a couple rings.

Called for a cab at 11:40. They said 20 minutes. Im still waiting at 12:50 . . .

Never use this service in Bennington.... they do not pick up the phone and leave you stranded.

Shut down at 11:40 on a Thursday night.

Left me waiting in the rain for 2.5 hours for a cab that never came. Didnt even have the decency to call and say they werent coming. Thanks for nothing!
