Our dog had a bad cut on his foot. We weren’t sure how the day was going to go but Dr. Morris was on call and took excellent care of our pup. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. What could have been a long/worrisome day was less then an hour with amazing care and service.

My cat, Pixie, became a patient here at West Mountain last year when we moved to Bennington. She was 18 years old and into her third year post chronic kidney disease diagnosis. Dr. Dana Ames and the entire staff impressed me with their compassion and professionalism, right up to the end - on August 20, when it became obvious that Pixie was having many more bad days and fewer good moments. Pixie was treated with love and respect, and so was I, which made all the difference at that very difficult time. I would recommend WMAH to anyone who loves their pet(s) and wants only the best care for them.

WMAH is by far the best vet Ive ever chosen. They are beyond thorough and every single person Ive encountered there from front desk to tech to doctor is so kind. Ive had to make several emergency appointments, even one after hours on a weekend, and their prices are obscenely reasonable. I love them and even if I move, I wont ever go anywhere else.

We love all the staff at WMAH- doctors, assistants, techs and office staff. The caring is strong here and good medicine is what they practice. In every interaction, they take good care of my dogs and of me, too. My dogs and I have been here for porcupine emergencies, for end of life care, for routine care, for small injuries, spays, and dental exams; from puppy to senior, and I am grateful to have found such wonderful, smart and caring people from the front desk to the exam room to the surgery. I drive down the mountain, and past 4 other veterinarians to make sure my dogs are cared for by Dr Bo, Dr Linda, Jana, Missy, Shannon, Jen, Jen, and Kendra and then see Cathy for a high five and a cookie on the way out.

The compassion they have and show towards our pets is above and beyond. I feel I can completely trust them with my animals.

These guys are the best. The doctors are all wonderful, as other the techs and other staff members. Incredibly caring and knowledgeable.

We have had two emergency visits this month and the vets couldn’t have been more caring, responsive and capable. Many thanks to Drs Ames and Blau and to Mackenzie and Cassie for The exceptional care they provided in our time of need.

On July 1, 2020, our dog, Prahda, was extremely sick and our regular vets answering service instructed us to go to Capital Vet in Latham, NY, almost an hour away. We asked if she could call our vet as we live only 2 minutes from their office. She told me she could not & has no numbers to contact them. We were so scared & beyond what to do. We called West Mountain, and thankfully, their answering service is able to contact a doctor and have them advise the caller. In less that 3 minutes, Dr. B called us, listened to our concerns and met us at the hospital at 4am! Our dog was so relaxed with him . Prahda is well and doing fine thanks to Dr.B . Needless to say, we are now transferring her to West Mountain! Thank you Dr. B for your compassion & concern for a 6yr. old dog & her 70 year old parents! Lol!

On friday we had emergency and i called they were in the middle of other cases but helpped me find another vet. Thank u guys so much

Such caring and understanding people. They loved and cared for my little Lilly as if she were their very own kitty. And they were very understanding about my financial limitations. We were traveling from Florida when both our pups became ill. The office rearranged appointments so that we could come in within an hour and both pups could be seen at the same time. Staff was overly kind and helpful and we would want Dr. Bergman for our vet if we lived in the area.

Highly reccomend, friendly staff and clean environment. Wellness check up to a emergancy, West mountian is hands down a wonderful place to trust your pets with.

The Vets the same...are caring, friendly and total animal lovers. Facility is state of the art. They know their craft and do whats best for my dogs.

I have been going to West Mountain Animal Hospital for the past thirteen years, and I would never want to bring my pets anywhere else. Every doctor, tech and front desk personnel are beyond loving, compassionate and amazing. I moved to NC two years ago and still continue to drive back to West Mountain every year for my dogs wellness visit. I love all of the doctors, but I have a special place in my heart for Dr. Suzy Pence most of all....she saved the life of my rescue boy and I will forever be grateful....Thank you West Mountain Animal Hospital! We have been using West Mountain for 14 years for the care of our dog Maggie and cannot say enough about the staff. From the receptionists to the ladies in the office, the Vet Techs and most of all the Doctors; especially Dr. Bo and Dr. Linda who not only gave excellent care over the years to Maggie but showed kindness and respect to us. As a client of West Mountain Animal Hospital for the past 20 years, I can, and always do, highly recommend their Veterinary services. The facility is very clean, thoughtfully designed, bright and soothing. The staff is always compassionate, friendly, and well versed in the details of the services they provide, as well as the nuances of animal care. They are more than just a local business, they are deeply rooted in community life through ongoing outreach and fund raising events such as Breast Cancer Research and Special Olympics.In addition to being pillars of the community, I have found that the support staff, technicians, and veterinarians go above and beyond the average level of care offered by other offices. I truly believe this superior level of care can be directly attributed to their high level of training and deep degree of empathy. They empathize not only with the unwell animals brought to them for care, but also the human hearts that suffer along with their animal companions.Without question, West Mountain Animal Hospital is the gold standard by which all veterinary care facilities should be measured. In my opinion, they are at the top of the scale for Veterinary care in Southern Vermont and the surrounding areas.

They care more about money than they did my cat, 61 dollars for a simple exam then 478 for further exams and had no idea what was wrong with my cat...they wanted the money upfront without even knowing...thats more than exams at my human doctor...ridiculous.

We have been using West Mt Animal Hospital for over 7 years without any complaint. The staff is pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing the best care possible. The facility is clean and well maintained. We are very lucky to have a group of this caliber in our area.

Edited July 8, 2020:On 2/28/20 West Mountain performed dental surgery for Oreo without a hitch. He had extractions and a cleaning. The staff were nothing but gentle, patient, and understanding in what was a very stressful time for me. I was able to wait in the waiting room while the surgery happened and they checked with me (as requested) to make sure I understood what was going on. Even though we needed twice as many extractions as anticipated, Dr. Ames was able to give Oreo excellent care, and he was out around the original time we expected! They made sure we understood our care, and I was able to call back later when I had more questions. Oreo has recovered fully from his dental surgery and I cant thank you all enough.P.S. I got a card from Office Manager, Cathy a little while back and it was both professional and very sweet! I appreciate the wholesome care from WMAH. :)Edited February 28, 2020:I cant even describe how much I love this place. I talked to Terri over the phone and felt like they did everything they could think of to make sure my dog-friend could get any care needed within the short amount of time we had before we had to leave for a trip. When previous plans fell through because I emailed the wrong folks, they helped me make new plans the same day to ensure that Oreo was still going to be taken care of (thanks to Dr. Bo as well!).In a previous appointment with Jennifer and Dr. Ames, I was also happy that they tried to ensure Oreos comfort during procedures and I was satisfied feeling like they explained our options so that I could make informed decisions for Oreos health. I feel like Oreo is in good hands with you guys, and Im very grateful for that.Thank you guys for doing what you do to care for our animal companions.P.S. I have several pets and all of them are patients at West Mountain. Not only does West Mountain provide the most state of the art treatment but they do it in a thoughtful and caring way. WMAH has been my choice for many years and Im really fussy about my animals. The office staff is superb, concientious and friendly. The Vet Techs are great with my dogs and very caring. Most of my interaction has been with Dr. Bob but Ive also had Bo take care on occasion. No complaints and Im highly critical. I dealt with anther practice for years until something of an emergency happened. Bob answered my call at 2A, not knowing me form Adam, and took care of the problem. Ive never returned to the other practice.

I first contacted WMAH in an emergency situation when my regular vet was in a meeting. They responded right away and were willing to see my dying dog. Needless to say, I stayed with them and left my old vet. Dr. Bo and the staff have been warm and caring through the years. Although they are expensive, i will stay with them forever.

I have been with WMAH for 20+ years. I do not trust anyone else to care for my pets. The whole team there are great!
