They did a very professional job and was very satisfied with the final product. Installed a combination of composition and metal roof. I had 3 quotes and they were in the middle but very their additional attic venting and gutter cleanup followup for a year made them the best value.

We contacted Deschutes Roofing to give us an estimate for having new gutters installed. An estimator came to our house on Wednesday, July 21st. At the time the estimator seemed professional and assured us that he would provide an estimate the following day. We had not received an estimate by the following Friday so they were contacted and we were assured that we would receive the estimate by Monday. We NEVER received an estimate and it is now August 31st. We went with another company.

These guys are fantastic. Did a fabulous job with replacing our entire roof in 3 days, lickety-split! And they had precision work, great ethic and when we ran into little glitches, they were very helpful in resolving. Especially with how challenging is been these days with supply chain & distribution issues and the crazy bheat, they really rallied and I couldnt be happier with our new roof. (Except now it looks so good that we realize we probably need to paint our house next... Ha!) Highly recommend!!

After a few scheduling hiccups Deschutes Roofing did an excellent job of installing our roof. The installers were courteous and professional and finished on time in just one day. I selected Deschutes roofing after looking at several other companies. I could not be more impressed with the level of professional service and attention to detail the crew displayed while working on my roof. I had many neighbors stop by after the job was completed (IN ONE DAY!) and comment on how impressive this was. Since the roof has been completed there have been 3 other neighbors use Deschutes roofing and at least 3 more waiting to set a date!After our roof project we had gutters installed by Deschutes roofing and I noticed something that was not to my satisfaction and contacted them to explain my concerns, they were quick to send out Gerald and after he looked at my concerns I expected him to tell me they would get a guy back out but was almost shocked when he asked if I had a ladder that he could use allowing him to make the corrections RIGHT NOW!TOP NOTCH OPERATION!

I would like to thank the staff and hard workers of Deschutes Roofing Company! I noticed a few days ago water leaking along the bottom of the wall by my front door. On the opposite side of this wall there is a gutter and with our record snow this winter a huge ice dam formed. I called to set up an appointment to have the ice dam removed and snow shoveled off the roof. They were very polite to me on the phone and told me they were very busy, but they could come out in a few days. Over the weekend we noticed our front living room was flooded. I called Deschutes Roofing back on Sunday morning and left a message to let them know. Carlos called me back later in the day and was so kind to push up my appointment. Water kept leaking in the living room. We pulled our carpet up, kept towels down and fans blowing to keep the water from spreading. First thing Monday morning Carlos had a very polite and professionally trained team that went right to work on on my hard to reach roof. They kept me advise of the process, helped me move my outside BBQ grill, and gardening supplies so they wont be damage by falling ice. They had to move their ladders and equipment through knee / hip deep drifts of snow around the house and on the roof. I totally appreciate how hard they worked. Everything was cleaned up nicely at the end, a borrowed electrical cord was coiled up so nicely even my son mention he couldnt roll up his electrical cords to look that way! Late that night, the leak slowed down, and by moving it totally stopped, whew !Again thank you Deschutes Roofing, you helped save my living room!

We needed to replace our deteriorated and old approx. 9,000 sq ft of roof. We obtained 3 bids and we selected Deschutes Roofing. Their bid was competitive, complete, and covered all detailed scope of services. Crew showed up per schedule and completed the work satisfactorily. Change Orders were communicated ahead of time. Overall job was finished as expected and happy that we have selected Deschutes for our roofing job. We highly recommend it.

As far as I can tell (Im not a roofing professional), the actual work that was done was done well. However, Deschutes Roofing is lacking in communication and customer service. In the end, the work is done (I think?) and Ive received a bill.Gabriel is great and is carrying the companys customer service. Without him, this company is full of excuses for their poor communication across departments and with the customer directly.I prefer not to leave negative reviews, but when I called to request to speak to the owner directly, I was unable to connect with him and instead was just provided excuses about short-staffing, etc. Im sympathetic to these challenges, but in the end, this is a business - and Im providing money for a service.If you choose Deschutes, youll probably get a roof and it will do its purpose. But aside from interactions with Gabriel, youll be doing a lot of the managing of the work yourself.

Deschutes roofing installed two solar fan vents for us in our attic crawl spaces that were getting extremely hot. They lowered the temperature substantially, wile using solar power, which is great - and easy. Scott was very easy to work with, did the jobs quickly and I barely had to think about anything. I highly recommend this company, specifically this solution to a hot, poorly vented attic crawlspace.

I called after a storm due to a leaky roof. They were immediately responsive, while clearly laying out what timeframes they were able to work with so that I knew what to expect. The crew sent to the house was kind and professional and was able to explain to me what was going on, what needed to be done, and what timeframes we were looking at. While a leaky roof is a stressful thing, they did an incredible job making it manageable.

Deschutes Roofing was the first roofing company in CO who actually helped us with one of our roofing issues. However, when we tried to hire them to do a second roofing issue (which we needed done before the next winter season), they scheduled an appointment to review the job weeks in advance. The day of the appointment, no one showed up and I had to call to find out why. I was then put off and told someone would get back to me - they didnt. I had to call again. I was told the same thing. This time someone did get back to say she was working on it. That was over a week ago and I just had to call again. I was told theyre very busy and this is a complicated job. We are now into September and I still dont have anyone to fix my roof. I guess they were too busy to let us know they were blowing off our appointment (my husband waited at home for them all morning) and too busy to respond to my inquiries.

In spite of a short thunderstorm and a down burst they quickly were able to to get back to work and finished the job. The final walk through via video was very helpful and social distancing was a high priority.

We had a small roof leak and called Deschutes Roofing to get an estimate. Oksana said they were booked until January (two months out), but then I explained that we were moving and needed the roof fixed before we closed. Oksana had their roof tech, Scott L., stop by the same afternoon to estimate/evaluate, and he completed the repairs the next day. Thank you, Deschutes Roofing, for being flexible with scheduling us for repairs at the 11th hour. We appreciated the quick response.

Dave came out to give us an estimate on a new roof. Our roof was 24 years old and hadn’t failed but needed replaced. He spent the time to discuss all our concerns with ice dams and poor attic ventilation and how they would remedy those issues. The quality of product deschutes roofing offers, along with their warranty, is incredible. I had several other bids with the same roofing system and deschutes was by far the best value. We chose them for our new roof which was installed so quickly and efficiently. The guys really worked together as a team! They also were very respectful of our property, protecting landscaping and personal items from damage, and cleaned up thoroughly after the job. Unfortunately we had a similar experience to one of the other reviewers below. Gabriel came to our home and was very nice, thorough and helpful. That was a Friday. He told us although he might get to it over the weekend, wed likely receive the proposal to replace our roof on Monday. We called the office and his cell phone the next Friday. No response. If youre too busy or otherwise dont want our business why not just say so?

This company is fantastic to work with!! They answer their phone and call you back! They were there when I needed them the most making sure my roof was fixed before my home was damaged as I had 68 shingles missing from a windstorm right before winter. They showed up and the entire team was extremely pleasant and their work was exceptional! My roof turned out way better than I ever expected and the color was perfect! Thank you so much you guys. I needed to replace my 25 year old cedar shake roof with fire resistant shingles. Carlos and his team did an exemplary job, neatly and meticulously removing the old roofing material and the newly installed roof looks spectacular. The employees were pleasant and considerate and they did a nice job of keeping the place clean while the work was in progress. The price bid for the job was fair and it was completed in a timely manner, on budget and on time. After receiving 5 bids from roofing companies throughout Central Oregon, the decision became so clear to me after meeting Gabriel from Deschutes Roofing. He was genuine, honest, down-to-earth, and was very knowledgeable. He was very thorough in his communication as he explained my options in great detail, so I could make an educated decision. He built trust and credibility instantly. Once I signed the contract, the roof was installed within a couple of weeks! In full transparency, however, we did run into a major issue with the shingles. I guess the roofing supplier didn’t store the shingles properly, and because the shingles were just about a year old, there was oil staining that occurred causing streaks in my brand new roof! I was mortified, and felt completely sick to my stomach. I had read about this happening online, and just feared the worst. I thought I’d be in for the fight of my life! Within a matter of 2 days, though, Gabriel and the owner, Carlos, worked with their shingle manufacturer and had an entire new roof put on my home within a week. No joke. No extra effort on my part, no headaches, no hassle. They advocated on my behalf, and did what was right by their customer! Last winters storm essentially ruined our roof, causing shingle failure, leakage into the home, and a broken truss. A complete re-roof was completed by Deschutes Roofing in January and they did a superb job. The initial assessment by Gerald, the bid from Carlos, and the work done by Jessie, Zak, and the rest of the crew was first rate. We have no hesitation in giving Deschutes Roofing our highest recommendation - it took a while for them to get to our home, but once here they were easy to work with, were courteous, helpful answering questions about their process and most importantly - they did a great job.

Hired them to repair roof issues at one house and also do a full roof job at a second location. They did a good job on the first job, I paid them immediately and had to call several times to get the second job scheduled. I was then told they did the repairs and paid my bill in full. The tenants then told me the work was not done. I called and spoke to a manager, he said that he was sure the work was done, but I requested to have him go to the job site to inspect it. He called me the next day and apologized saying the work that I paid for was not done. They refunded only a small portion of the bill. They had only replaced a few vents and did not reroof anything, although I paid for the materials and labor. This led to the roof leaking at the next storm and paying a different contractor to repair it. The manager met with me and offered to refund the full amount. I wanted to think about it, and then got back to him and said I would accept that, but he then said he would have to run it by the head manager. He won’t get back to me, I’ve left messages and they will never get my business again. I highly recommend to NOT DO BUSINESS with this company. Unfortunate for something that could have easily been done correctly the first time, or then fixed with the rebate for shoddy work and billing for work not done. I have receipts and photos. The second contractor I hired was shocked at the poor and incomplete work. I was also told contractor work had no warranty by the manager.

Our experience with Deschutes Roofing has been rather unfortunate. There are 3 main problems with the job they did for us, which was in late June/early July 2018.1. We’ll start with the worst, and really the only reason I’m taking time to write a review. We discovered midway through the roofing job (while up on the roof to ensure the venting holes we requested were in) that the roof base was spongy, and that there were in fact holes, 4-5 inches long and wide or larger, not vent holes mind you, that the roofers had covered with paper and were about to put asphalt shingles over. HOLES! We were informed that they would call us if they recommended doing plywood sheeting over the roof. But we had spoken with them and they had NOT recommended that, and said they’d be done by day’s end. We called the foreman, he came over and we peeled up the paper and showed him the holes. He said, “oh we need to sheet the whole thing.” Now mind you, this only cost us extra money, BUT we needed our roof done right? What if we hadn’t gone up to discover said holes? Someone could easily step through on of those holes with only singles over them, hurt them self. Leak would likely develop, especially with a decent snow. I had no idea why a company would do this, because the work would just cost US extra money. I understand tho, that the crew doing the work is paid by job, not by hour, so there is incentive to get the work done as quickly as possible. The necessity of plywood sheeting for the integrity of the roof would only take much more time. It left me wondering, how many people out there think they’ve got a great roof because it looks nice? YIKES.2. The clean up wasn’t good. They left a big tarp full of roof garbage on our front lawn, which is still there (we moved it to the side as it nearly killed that section of grass, which we’ve worked hard to keep nice and green) We are still finding pieces of plastic (small and understandable but annoying) and worse, a few razor blades in the lawn/driveway. We have a 1 year old. Ugh.3. When we tried to talk about this major near miss with the foreman, he was not apologetic nor did he offer to provide any sort of explanation aside from “the guys don’t always do roofs like this” or something like that. We have the most normal roof ever. The house is a one level, rectangular ranch.Super disappointed. Would not recommend regardless of a “good price bid.”

We got in touch with Carlos on a Saturday desperate for help with our ice dams, as we had water actively running into the house. He got a crew together for us the next day. They assessed the water leakage, identified the problem dams, and attacked those first. The crew then worked until dark removing all the snow from the roof and as much of the ice dams as possible. We were charged very fairly for the work and appreciate the effort all the crew made on a Sunday.

An estimator, Gabriel, came to our house to assess our job which consisted of minor repairs of shingles. He promised to email us an estimate, but it never came. We called him and he blamed the lack of response on the foreman he had turned the job over to. He assured us we would get a response soon. That was two weeks ago and we have not seen anything. I assume our job was too small for them, but they could have been honest enough to tell us.Gabriel did follow up with me later and assured me had sent an email so it’s possible it was an email problem.

We had the misfortune of hiring this company. They roofed over our soft roof. Left a horrible mess and left our exhaust vents full of debris and unhooked. They were fast alright because they overlook what is wrong. It took them several days to redo our roof the right way. When we complained the owner acted like we were the ones being unreasonable. Dont waste your time or money on this company.

I received 4 bids from different roofers for our home which is 4,000 sf. Dave from Deschutes roofing came out and was absolutely the nicest ,honest and detail oriented person out of them all. Everything about my experience with them was over the top. The work crew came out tore my existing comp shingles off along with the old felt in half a day!!! finished the job and left in 3 days total. None of my landscape was damaged and I think they went around my house a hundred times with magnets, making sure every nail was removed. I could go on and on, these guys were just fantastic. If you hire any other company you will be making a huge mistake.
