Outrageously priced slow internet. That is charging by how much you use and sets the limits so low it’s would pretty much be impossible not to go over. If you have any other options go with them.

Some of the slowest and most unreliable internet Ive ever had the displeasure of using. Downloading even medium sized files or games takes a small eternity with a 50GB game often taking upwards of 16 hours to complete. Even when nobody else is using the internet it struggles to hold 2 mbs a second. God forbid you have more than 2 people using the internet at a time as this will tank your ability to stream, download, etc. Random ping spikes while playing games is frequent and creates a frustrating experience especially when playing competitive games. The pricing is borderline robbery for the speeds your receive and would be almost comical if high speed internet wasnt an absolute necessity in our modern world.

I have had the most pleasant experience with this company. From the time I scheduled service in my shop with Tracy to the time it was installed, it was painless. They accommodated my schedule And did the job in a professional and timely manner. As a contractor, I can see crew dynamics and team work. Rolling up to a new job site requires problem solving. Max an Trevor have that and I’m confident they make their boss proud. I will certainly recommend this company to anyone that needs Internet. I only wish I had done it sooner.

For the first time in the years since weve had Yellowknifes service, our antenna got dislodged by the ferocious winds we ve been experiencing. I called their office and they were able to have a technician come out and reinstall the antenna within a couple of hours. The tech (whose name I cant recall, sorry) wasnt here for long at all. Ive verbally recommended Yellowknife to all my neighbors and they are super happy with their services. In fact, I think my entire street are their customers now. Quite a testament to the quality wireless service they provide.Over the 18 years, Theyve been consistent with providing a stellar and fast wireless service, And their customer service is excellent. From the front desk, to working with Derrick on trouble shooting tips on the router and connection, And their On-site services.Just recently we needed to upgrade our router to accommodate gaming/streaming and Derrick worked extensively with me and even my son(technical kid) on the best options. In the end, it wasnt just the router we needed but we needed to adjust the cable to get the wireless reach we needed to get both quality and speed across our entire house. So Derrick sent both Trevor and Jeremy to re-cable around the house and thru the nasty crawl space. Had them for years and having issues with connectivity for months and cant seem to get the service technicians to fix it or come out.Update: After calling for months we got you guys to come out and update the lines. Service was fantastic! Spent a lot of time getting everything exactly as we wanted it.

Starting with Lauren at the office she was great and very helpful throughout the whole time answering questions and giving advice. She set up a time for the install and they were prompt unlike any other service I have had before from cable or other types of things. Max and David did the install and did a great job as well, having to overcome a couple of things that install put before them. The install was quick and very clean. All components are barely seen. Very happy, five star all the way.

Fair pricing for their speeds and Soooo much faster than our old service. Their technicians are always helpful and the front desk is always very nice to me.

Truly amazing and have great intet net

Living in a remote area where the choices are sooooo limited, they are the best, hands down. Great speeds, awesome customer and tech service.We have not, in 3 years had a single interruption in service. Not during wind, rain, snow or hail has it gone down. I dont know how, but it has not.They also offer voice over IP for landline phones and its cheap!! 1/3 of the price compared to C-link (booooo!!)

As someone who depends--really depends--on reliable Internet for work, being able to get fast, reliable service at a place 8 miles outside of La Pine is a gift. Ive found the folks at Yellowknife to be customer oriented, responsive, and technically astute. Ive had billing issues because of compromised credit cards, and their response has been amazing. I highly recommend these folks.

Customer service is great actually.. when we went in they check a map and said yes. Theyre also 3 people or so near me that get service. One behind trees without a tree climb. They came out took one look at some trees over a 170 yards away and said nope. Did not even try.. and then that infamous fuel change for coming out.. my eye twitches when I hear there radio ad and it even mentions Chemult. I have a relieve 7 miles down the road who has service.. oh well.

My Centurylink service was bad so I switched to YKW and now I am very happy! The install was quick and they were able to provide the static IP that I needed. The speed/usage tiers are well thought out - there are throttling options, so that power users can transfer a lot when needed, but not have to worry about surprise bills.Page-loads, large transfers, and video conferencing all work great. And the uptime is really good. Aside from fiber, I have not been on a better connection.If you are a heavy gaming user you may be aware that there is some timing jitter and packet-reordering that occurs on any wlan. Im not gaming but I use my connection for all kinds of other things and I have no complains about latency.Very good people. Very responsive.

I am finally taking a moment to thank Yellowknife for the great service they have provided us in Powell Butte. Last year at the Christmas/New Year holiday they extended unlimited use in case we had guests and extra usage. What a wonderful gift to your customers. Horrible connection, always is lagging or not working and even when it does work the speeds are awful. The customer service is amazing and they are very helpful but the connection is just not worth it.

We have had Yellowknife Wireless service for a couple years now and couldnt be more satisfied. The quick internet, along with the helpful staff and service is top notched. We had a spike in our data usage one month and the Management along with the IT department helped us figure out why and resolved the situation in a very professional, small town family style. Very reliable service been with them 7 years. I also have an account with bend broadband at my work and yellowknife has far less outages. Tech support has been solid. Charges very reasonable. Wasnt impressed with phone service avoid that but the Internet is great

Great data plan for the money. Absolutely horrible tech support. They usually can help with a fix but they could learn a thing or two about customer service. When you are in contact with customers you should know how to treat them and speak to them. If I could find another provider with the same amount of data I would switch immediately. Even if the service cost more it would be worth it to be rid of this company.

I love this company! The staff is always so friendly and helpful! Its hard to find good customer service, especially when it comes to internet providers.... but youll find it at Yellowknife! This is the most reliable internet service Ive ever had!

We needed a Tree mount dish based on our heavily wooded property and being located west of town. After 4 calls to webformix and two home site evals, webformix was unable to provide comprehensive tree mount service and seemed annoyed that I would even ask about mounting anywhere but my house. My neighbor referred me to Yellowknife who he also uses. One phone call to them and they were 100% on board with tree mount, very friendly on the phone, have their own tree climber on staff, and were able to come install in 4 days. Trevor and Max came out to the house, did quick site eval, and Max shimmied up that tree and was able to get me great signal. Trevor helped fix wiring from incomplete home build wiring snafu. They were great duo, really appreciate them, totally did right by me. Their plans are more expensive then competitor, however their customer service was excellent and I highly recommend them. Hopeful they will come down on their pricing packages a little in future.

UPDATE: I talked with the President of the company and he made it right. Yellowknife got it fixed and I am extremely stoked with my service. I have the basic internet plan and it is awesome for streaming and my work VPN! Thank you Yellowknife!Ordered new service with Yellowknife, techs showed up to install. Only to tell me that they were on able to put the Internet cable where I wanted it. The tech wanted to leave it right in the middle of my living room.This was over a week ago I am still without service. The tech wound up 50 feet of cord and left it in my front yard. Meanwhile I was charged for an installation that never happened. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the level of customer service Yellowknife has shown thus far.I have called him twice about this matter looking to talk to the owner but have not received a call back.This review is subject to change if Yellowknife makes it right.

This is an updated review. When I first started doing business with this company I was less than impressed with customer service. They have turned it around 100%. Very few times will a company listen to their consumers issues, and fix the problem. This company did just that. I am changing my review from 1 star to 5 Star based on the change that Ive experienced when dealing with this company. Their staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating and I recommend this internet service. If you have issues, reach out and let them get a chance to work with you before getting upset.

For six years we tried every available internet service that could handle our rural, canyon location and nothing was fast enough and they all had multiple problems, continuously. Satellite was a complete disaster and then, we found Yellowknife. Yellowknife went out their way to professionally map our location, drawing a sectional view through the terrain to discover a direct line of sight to their tower on Gray Butte that we could access from the top of our lot. Ever since we hooked up to their service, we havent had one problem, not even one call has been made by us in two years about any kind of problem. The internet has worked flawlessly. It streams fast enough that we were able to cancel our satellite TV service and use Roku, saving us over $1,000 per year. In addition, my wife and I both run businesses out of the home and we use the internet continuously with massive downloads as well as uploads. No problems at all. If youre looking for end to the internet misery, look no further than Yellowknife. The people at Yellowknife make all this easy. Theyre easy to deal with, knowledgeable and helpful. Even the installation guys were great. Stop sitting on the fence and go for it; you wont be disappointed!

Ive had Bend Broadband and Century Link prior to Yellowknife and I can honestly say that for the last 2 years that weve had their service their have been zero problems or need for customer service. We have multiple devices streaming at any given time and have never experienced slowness or interruption in our service.

This is the best internet provider ever conceived from any technology on the planet.

Been a customer for 4 years, 12 miles SE of Prineville. The only time I had a problem their tech support was excellent. Very happy with them.

DO NOT USE! This place is highway robbery! I called them 5 times to check my location on google maps ( which is on a hill in prineville) and they said oh yea shouldnt be a problem with service. We have 2 customers that live right by you. They came out and said i cant get service. Then called me and told me that they needed my card to charge me 85 dollars for them to come out. After that they told me a lady used them once and requested service to a house on the same property and they could not get service to it. This place is like taking your car to a mechanic that says he can fix the problem and gives you a quote of 500 then realizes he cant but still charges you the 500! I never put negative comments on anyones business but this business just wants to be paid for providing no service at all!

We recently made a cross country move to Powell Butte - and purchasing our house/moving was literally dependent on whether or not my wife could have reliable, fast internet as she works from home. Not only did YellowKnife pre-screen the location for service in a very timely fashion, the internet hook-up is more reliable than anything else Ive heard of being available in Bend. The front desk ladies are absolutely wonderful and quick to respond to any concerns or issues. Coming from a big city/Comcast experience... there is no comparison. These guys are awesome- well done.
