So because my current homeowners policy was going to expire because of a late payment sent from my Mortgage Company, Eric at Taft Insurance was right on it. Great Staff/Service! - Back in August of 2020, Erik contact me about providing me a quote for homeowners, automobile and umbrella insurance. I got to know Erik because our sons play baseball together. Even though I was not shopping for new insurance, I decided to give Erik the opportunity. BOY...AM I GLAD I DID!!! Not only did I save money, Erik was responsive, kind and very helpful. He took the time to talk with me, provided numerous quotes and truly wanted me to be comfortable with my decision if I decided to change companies. Erik Ruby with Taft Insurance, I had a very bad experience with him. I paid for a policy that needed to be taking out of my account. Well for almost a year we found out we did not have insurance on my building. He never call us and told us about it. So I took all my policy’s for him. Lesson learn, look over your paperwork. If you like old school customer service, where a real person takes care of your needs, you will love Taft insurance.I was new to town and purchased insurance from another company quickly realizing I had made a mistake.There I was told to go online to download my policy and print out my proof of auto insurance cards. I was paying more there for my auto insurance and expected to print my own policies? I’m not sure what I was paying them for???Taft gave me really good one on one service. Mailed everything I needed. I like that!!

One star on 11/6, Mike just picked up my phone call when I was trying to validate whether a contractors liability policy is valid. He scolded me for dialing extension 1200, which is for new quote and I should have dialed 0. I explained that the only other option 0 is stated for existing customer, which is an incorrect option for me. Extremely poor customer service. You could have politely said let me transfer you to someone who can help you with that instead of cutting me off onto the transfer line while I was speaking.updated to 3 stars - The owner reached out and showed that he cared about providing good customer service.

When my prior agent retired, he sold his business to Taft, so I say I inherited them. Shortly thereafter, my wife was side swiped by a truck in a hit and run incident.and Taft gave us superb service in handing our claim. Then upon our renewal date, the insurance company raised our rates significantly, so I asked our agent if he could improve our situation and he found another highly rated company that saved up several hundred dollars. What more could you hope for? Well I guess if he paid my premiums that would be even better, but we still working on that!
