Was visiting the hotel recently and was told that this Sheraton was being taken over by new management and it is being converted from a Sheraton to a Wyndham Brand Hotel. Should be even nicer once the changes are done. Seems that CoViD is a big influence on total staffing as I had to wait a bit longer than normal to be shown a meeting room - no biggie since it is what it is at this time.

2 stars and only because the staff was friendly. I understand that these are not normal times, BUT when you clean a room for a new guest, you should AT LEAST make an effort. I know the cleaning staff didnt because I found actual dollar bills under the pull-out couch, cant make that up. No bedding for the pull-out, had to call at midnight to get some, but they did come promptly.

I am a COVID crisis response nurse new to the area to help with the increased need at a local hospital due to the pandemic. I work night shift and came to the Sharaton asking if I could have a room for a couple days with a check in and check out time that would accommodate a night-shift nurse schedule. I was told I could not be helped and if I required a room to sleep during the day I would not be able to then check out and would have to pay full price for the whole next night even after I “checked out”. The front desk called the manager to see if anything could be done for me and the answer was a very straightforward No. I left, tired and exhausted after a 13 hour night shift, and went to a neighboring hotel. At the neighboring hotel they were not only immediately willing to work with my backwards schedule offering a day rate for my overlapping time, but even offered me a crisis healthcare responder discount. If you are looking for a place to stay that is accommodating of its guests or is at all in service to supporting the community, I would go running from the Sheraton. At a time when nurses are traveling to respond to community needs, and hotels have face mask and be safe signs posted every 6 feet, it is particularly disappointing to see that in practice, they are not taking these things to heart or in support of healthcare workers and the community they serve.

Delicious hot breakfast, with a smile, included in room rate. Helpful, friendly front desk staff. Meticulously clean bathroom in room, and in lobby. Dated rooms that seem a little “tired,” in that some things (such as the bed) are needing replacement. Convenient to UM campus, less than 15 minute drive. Steps from a grocery store, which is nice, too. Overall, I’m a VERY happy customer!

Excellent hotel for the price I paid ($77 per night). Stayed there over the weekend and was very comfortable in the Queen room. Very professional staff. The hotel is pet-friendly with no extra fee! However (and I like this a lot), you do have to sign a pet waiver that makes you responsible for your animals behavior. Some minor nitpicky complaints (pillows were too soft for me and the bed was a bit on the firm side) and the only major complaint is that there were some shady clientele there on Saturday night complaining that someone else in the hotel mightve had a gun. Didnt hear much about it past the front desk, though, and the rest of that night was peaceful for us. Something like that really isnt the fault of the hotel. The rooms are a little oddly shaped. Mine was triangular and the TV was a little hard to see. Its got a nice look to it overall, though. There is plenty of space in said rooms. The gym IS OPEN with permission from the front desk. At the moment theyre allowing one guest in there at a time. Due to COVID, the restaurant is closed and theyre not offering any meals but there is a large strip mall across the highway with plenty of options. Easy access to DC and the surrounding towns. Will most likely stay here again next time Im in the area.

The hotel dubs itself a pet friendly hotel. When I arrived the registration staff was very polite and helpful. When I went to the room, the AC was not working. I called down to the front desk and after an hour a workman came up, but he refused to come into the room because I had dogs in the room.Update: I appreciate the response from the management, but to be clear, I had the dogs on leashes and offered to lock them in the bathroom. The management implies that they were running freely around and this just is not true, therefore the hotel may tolerate pets, but I would not consider it pet friendly.

Worst hotel that I have ever encountered. Very unprofessional staff and management. I am still waiting for a call back from a manager. I checked in on 11/14 to check out on 11/15. Check out is 12pm but housekeeping came to my door at 8am stating that it was checkout time. While leaving I looked at my watch and it was only 8:20am. I asked at the front desk what time was checkout and she stated 12pm. No manager was available to speak with me so I left my contact information after waiting an hour for someone to speak to me. In addition to staffing issues BOBBY in Accounting should NOT represent the SHERATON BRAND AT ALL! This is WORSE SHERATON ON EARTH!

Check in was easy, room service prices were practical, yet we had mold in our room. We originally had a king, yet changed our floor; which changed our to a double bed. Everything was fine until the bed we chose to sleep in had a lipstick stain on the sheets as if someone had slept in the bed before we got there and housekeeping just never changed it. That was the 1 thing that really turned us off to the hotel.Housekeeping seemed slow, unavailable, or items were not in stock when we requested them. Overall, we would not recommend anyone staying here considering the lack of cleanliness.

Original room was 508 where the TV reception was poor, black stains on linen, & ice machine on 5th floor was broken. Complained about the room at front desk and was switched to room 712. This room had a very small fridge & microwave but the previous room did not, so I accepted the change without checking the linen. Huge mistake! Make-up stains on linen, burnt cigarette patterns on linen, trash inside bible & trash from previous guest in trash can! For the amount of money paid on this room ($800 for 5 days) & expecting a certain class from The Marriott/Sheraton this is a grave disappointment. I hate the broken ice machines on every other floor, I hate the filth, & I cannot wait to depart on Friday. I pray that nothing bites or infects me here. Very, very poor.....

Terrific location (easy access to 95), terrific price (under $100 a night, by far the least expensive rate for area hotels), and exceptional beds. We had a group of 5 rooms (5 adults, 6 kids) and everyone raved about the mattresses and bedding. Made for a terrific night sleep. Breakfast was a little on the light side (no waffles for the kids) but nothing but good things to say about this hotel. We are Marriott Vacatiob Club owners and are used to staying at quality properties. This was right up there quality wise. It will now be a preferred hotel on our travels through Maryland!

This place is a disaster! Stay here at your own risk! As an avid Sheraton guest, I know what a good hotel looks like, but this isnt it! Upon arrival, the customer service was lacking. We walked in with our bags while the front desk workers stared thoughtlessly at the ceiling. I guess it took them a while to realize we needed to be checked in. After a long commute, it was natural to want to use the bathroom and shower. But low and behold, SCUM ON THE TOILET SEAT! There was a black film on the seat, and wet condensation to top it off. To make matters worse, the following morning when I made a request for a simple toothbrush, I had to call THREE times within an HOUR. And the woman, who looked like an administrator had a terribly, sour attitude. And after she rolled her eyes and shoved the toothbrush in my hand, she strutted off in a distasteful fashion. Thats some hospitality for a hospitality business. All in all, this place is filthy and nasty, run by incompetent individuals.

I originally posted this location as rewarding and tranquil. However, after being here a week there are some things Ive noticed after my initial post and they are the following. Everytime I leave my room and return my key card doesnt work, I have to go back to the front desk and have it rekeyed. From Saturday to Wednesday I had a total of 8 different key cards, this continues to be an ongoing problem. It doesnt open the club rooms or anything. Also, when watching ABC, CBS or NBC the TV goes blank for a minimum of 5 seconds all day every day and gets worse at night. A tech was sent to the room to correct it but it persisted after he departed. These may seem minor but, they negate the comforts of being here. I must acknowledge all the staffers were welcoming and accommodating.

One of the worst hotels Ive stayed at in a long time. See the pictures of the room and it will tell the story. Im sure theres more they just painted over it. This room cost us $183 for one night and they also charged us $75 the following morning for incidentals. They said it would be refunded if nothing is wrong with the room and will take 3 to 5 business days to get back. The $75 charge is total BS. We should of been notified of this before they just charge something that ridiculous. The 1 star is for the condition of the room. Felt like we were staying in a $35 a night hotel. Its a shame Sheraton has there name on it and should clean and fix the room before anyone else stays in it. This location should be shut down and stop using a high dollar name for a budget motel environment.

The walls are paper thin because we could practically hear our neighbors on all 3 days.Heres where Sheraton loses a star:After a long day of walking the National Mall, my wife and I got back to the hotel room at 8pm to relax. Not too long after arriving, we got a phone call from the front desk. Someone filed a noise complaint on us. Despite the fact that no one investigated the issue, we were told we were being too loud. The truth is we were merely laying on the bed and looking at our phones. Im offended that no staff member bothered to investigate the noise complaint and we were never offered an apology for the false accusation.Rest assured, we wont be going back to this Sheraton. Security was nice enough to bring them up after 10 minutes or so. The next morning, the room needed fresh towels and wash cloths. I called down to the front desk and after 45 minutes, I had to go down myself to get them. Never, and I repeat never, have an event at this hotel. For starters, why is buffet more expensive than plated. For a wedding, they make you pay for the champagne for the toast. The food service was very slow during the reception. The wedding party (including the bride and groom) were served last! Its dingy, out dated, and dirty. Marriott really needs to update the Sheraton brand but even then the locations need to do a better job with the upkeep. This Sheraton was just not clean. The toilet seat in my room was old and chipping (toilet seat isnt a very expensive fix), the linen was itchy and had marks all over it, ceilings dusty and dirty, air vents clogged with dirt, nasty cracking wooden pedestal that AC sits on,the bathroom floor and wall had dirt marks, tile in bathroom cracked n stained. The tv picture quality even looked like it was from a old tube tv. I mean how does a hair get inside a picture frame in the bathroom? I originally planned for two nights and left after the first. The only thing that I was halfway impressed about were the disposable slippers in the closet.

Nice looking hotel, parking with available, they had food and coffee for our event ready, the bathroom was clean and looks elegant. Only reason, I didnt give it a 5 star was the gentleman working at the front desk who answered my question about the event was very rough at pointing out the location. He might have had a bad day or something but he wasnt very hospitable

Just two miles from ARL so thats really convenient for my trip. The shuttle service took care of my travel to and from, with quick pickup service. Room was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Staff was nice and everything went exactly as I would hope.

Allergy is back due to dust in the room. Water pressure for shower is low. No shuttle offered. No access to club room. No morning paper. Only staff are nice and helpful.

Staff was VERY nice and the rooms have a lot of toiletries that I had forgotten at home. They even had a shower luffa so they won my heart here. The beds are very comfortable and I think the building is well maintained. Enjoyed my stay and I definitely would recommend it.

Great pet policy, quiet and not too out of the way for D.C. and the metro. Beds are comfy. Some of the staff was a little rude and has some signs of wear, but excellent value otherwise.
