What a horrible person the Manager is. He wanted me to tape a couple of boxes. Fine. He tried to make me buy a whole roll, so I went to the car and got some tape and secured boxes together, even though that wasnt required by the seller. Either way, when I walk back in with the boxes taped, he slides the label over to me and walks away and gets on the phone. No thank you. No, put the label on the box, no here is the receipt. Nothing. Whatever happened to human decency?

Short version: Phenomenal service, above and beyond anything we could have expected, extremely nice, wonderful experience. If you live close enough to use this location youre lucky.I cant possibly say enough good things. Kelly (the owner) is just the nicest person, and she knows what she is doing. The company I work for needed to ship some very large, time-sensitive packages to France, and ran into some issues with the international shipping - Kelly worked with us for over a week, keeping regular tabs on the packages and contacting people internally to make sure they made it to their destination safely.She helped with everything from the initial paperwork to arrival and finalizing things and keeping tabs once the packages were through customs. This was a big deal for us, and I dont know if we could have hit a critical deadline without her help.Let me also note - we dont have any special commercial account with them or anything. She is just a kind and professional person who actually cares about her customers. I would certainly go out of my way to use this location in the future.

The manager of the store made sure that our packages made it to their destination. This sounds like an easy task, but the packages got stuck in French customs and we were on a tight timeline to deliver the packages. The manager persistently checked up on the packages for us and was in contact with central UPS to make sure our packages arrived on time. She went above and beyond everything she needed to do. Thank you!!

I’ve had a mailbox at this store for approaching 5 years even when o left the area and they’re we’re closer locations. I was comfortable where I knew I’d receive top of the line service for all my needs even shipping and packing. In the business of service some people just service but at this locations they genuinely care. I’ve always gotten good and accurate informations. Hands down, this is THE BEST UPS Store I have had the pleasure of visting. I have been coming to this particular location to manage my shipping needs and most importantly, package pick-up needs, as this is my closest UPS MyChoice location. The owners, Ms. Kelly and Mr. Eze are the sweetest, kindest people to know and interact with and make the process of shipping, notarizing and packaging, stress-free and fast! I can always count on them to give me a positive experience every time, because they greet you with big smiles and truly care about how their customers are doing and will be sure to ask you how life is progressing. This is my whooosah place for real! In addition to this being the worry-free logistics place, they have great taste in recruiting and take their time with hiring the greatest, kindest employees. Their employees, Jazmin and Tosin who are very knowledgeable, patient and physically fast with their processes. Whats even more exciting about this place is that everyone is actually happy to be there to help you...and they WILL remember your name! :) I make this place my go to destination because I trust them and they get it right consistently. Even when Covid hit, they have not missed a beat and have ran their store like a well-oiled machine, making 6-feet borders on the floors and cardboard barriers between the counter to ensure the safety of everyone. They have quickly adapted to the new norms of crisis and have been pretty consistent for a small business during a pandemic. Been to so many other UPS stores in Baltimore, Towson, Alexandria, Tyson’s Corner and this is the only one trying to charge me a dollar to tape up the box. Not a lot of money but, this is why I choose to do returns with UPS and not USPS. Now there’s no difference.

On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, the manager/registered agent/wife of the franchisee of The UPS Store, 5019 Beltsville (also the College Park and University of Maryland Campus The UPS Stores), Kelly Eze Nwoji asked me to switch schedules with her on Friday, March 15. Originally, my schedule was 2pm-7pm. Ms. Nwojis schedule was 9am-2pm. I agreed to do her the favor and switch with her which meant my shift ended at 2pm. The customers had been steady all day Friday and I barely got any reprieve at all for the more than 6 hours I was there that day, as I worked my schedule alone. Two p.m. was approaching, I was swamped with a line of customers and I had boxes I needed to stack, packages to process and one customer who lingered. After 2pm, Ms. Nwoji was not there as agreed. I was hoping for an opportunity to use the restroom and I had not eaten all day. I had made plans based on my scheduled shift end at 2pm. I logged out at 2:23pm, but could not get that last customer out of the store. At some point after I logged out, Ms. Nwoji came in the store. She did not relieve me or help me with the customer. I told the lingering customer I was going to have to go get the manager to help her. I went to get Ms. Nwoji and she was gone. She never said a word to me. She never asked if I would stay longer, which I could not, and her irresponsible and inconsiderate actions made me more than an hour late for an obligation. I finally told the customer she had to leave. I left the store at 3:15pm. Previously, on 3/8/19, I provided a letter of resignation and left my departure date open to negotiation, but after being so abused (and this is only one of the multitude of abuses employees suffer with these people) with the above incident I needed to quit ASAP. The franchisee is Salinks Enterprise, Inc. (SEI) owned by Ms. Nwojis husband Eze. This is a Maryland corporation that is NOT IN GOOD STANDING according to State records. These people are so vastly entitled that if you look, you can see approximately two dozen items of their involvement in court matters. Combined they are/have been defendants in traffic violations, contract matters, Mr. Nwoji had a peace order against him, etc. These people are not of good character and their company is not in good standing. These people act in bad faith and think that the rules do not apply to them as the State and court records show. They do not allow employees breaks for food or restroom, but rest assured, they do not miss these opportunities themselves. Ms. Nwoji also has a pattern of paying her personal property taxes late because deadlines and rules do not apply in any aspect of their existence. I started as a mailbox customer more than a decade ago. Subsequent to my departure, Store 5019 sent me a mailbox renewal notice, then Ms. Nwoji refused to let me renew my mailbox contract. She abused me, but I was willing to keep my mailbox. I was able to move past her antics. But still, she felt the need to be even more petty and more harassing. It is too bad she was unable to move on herself. Also, it is important to remember that though it was convenient for her to let me take care of the store on my own, I was never more than a minimum wage employee. Because I had worked there long enough to know how Ms. Nwoji would behave I made other arrangements for my mail delivery, so that her unprofessional behavior and child-like tantrum would not impact me. I cannot recommend this business for this and so many reasons. I do not understand why The UPS Store corporate is okay with this. There are other mailbox options. FedEx has shipping and office solutions and often stays open later than The UPS Store. Libraries have free computer use. There is a notary public a couple doors down at 10805 Baltimore Ave. in Beltsville. Keys are usually cheaper to have cut at hardware stores. These and the Post Office are less than 1/2 mile from this store. You can take your own passport pictures at home. The picture requirements are on the U.S. Dept. of State website and there are free phone apps for passport pictures.

This is a below standard franchise. AVOIDI specifically told them to put the AC cable and software in the same box as a computer I shipped through them. They messed that up. When they forgot to send the disks and cable, they put it in another box and shipped it out UPS ground. THEY DID NOT CONTACT ME.They charged me $77 shipping to send a 50lbs Computer from Maryland to Wisconsin, and an additional $109 for fragile packaging that turned out to be bubble wrap, two pieces of styra-foam, and a box, shipped at UPS ground pace.When I calmly asked why I was not contacted, and why the misplaced items were not rush shipped, the franchise owner/manager tried to blame it on his employees, and then raised his voice at me when I asked where I inquired about registering a complaint. A customer should not have to tell a business owner to calm down.He did not offer to give me any kind of refund.Avoid this business. Their customer service, accountability, and communications need too much improvement.

If I could, Id give Zero stars. Minority-owned or not, Do NOT, I repeat, do not, use this location for shipping; unless you want your pkg not delivered, returned to a store that cannot find it after calling you to pick it up, and want to deal with a unprofessional owner/mgr. African owner is condescending and would not even acknowledge the damage done to my pkg that was returned. His attempts to dismiss my concerns in the presence of other customers shows lack of respect and willingness to accept responsibility for the terrible service. The box was purchased from their store, packed in their store, and handled by the shipping company whose logo is on the store front. It should not be returned crushed so bad the workers cannot locate it or read the labelling. Nor should the customer have to deal with a nasty dismissive attitude and told call UPS. Close your doors and find another profession.

I tried to ship a laptop and it was damaged during the shipping process. I had insurance but my claim was denied because I didnt package the item properly. The store manager was the person assisting me and all he asked me was if I woukd like them to package it for me. I told him that wouldnt be necessary I can package it myself. I packaged the item in the store and the store manager sat there and watched me package it and said nothing to me that their was a specific way the item needed packaged. I wouldnt be as upset if i wasnt dealing with the store manager himself. If anybody he should be the one to inform people of their policies and that the insurance is useless if the item isnt packaged in a certain way. All he had to do was tell me if they package it for me it would be within their packaging requirements or at least tell me they had packaging requirements period. Very poor management. Now Im out a $600 laptop ty.

Customer service has really gone downhill over the last few months. Today, one of the boxes I was shipping needed some additional tape and the gentleman working the counter was unwilling to use his tape gun, instead he told my husband and I we could buy a roll. Really? This is not the first time weve interacted with this same employee and have been disappointed by lack of service.
