First Id like to say I am very thankful to have been accepted on the program, however my case worker A. Paccate is very hard to reach. I have yet to receive a phone call back, email, or even personally meet her. Ive even so far as reached out to her supervisor Ms. Lynch who has yet to contact me back in regards to me being information. Today, after driving all night long from Tennessee back to Texas, so I can sign my contract so my payments can begin I was told they are closed to the public and will send out emails, an email Im sure I will never receive. For me being a first timer on this program the process and need for help with questions and concerns is horrible. My landlord is freaking out because hes also in the dark and is trying to see whats best as far as the rent being paid. I see no point in having a case worker when they are always ghost. She didnt even so much as wanted to come out to meet with me when I drove 20+ minutes to come sit with her to get answers on what I should do. This time I just cant take it anymore and hope someone contacts me soon because I left my children in Tennessee just to come all the way here to get things started. I have now become frustrated and feel like Im not important as a citizen or resident. All this inconvenience has upset me so. You should email about closure before people waste their time and gas. Better yet simply call back, email, or come from the back when we as the people are trying.

My caseworker is Katherine Wagner and she is always so helpful no matter what the situation. Always upfront about everything lets you know what to look for before you rent so you wont be blind sided by anything.

Its so hard to reach anyone on the phone here. No one return your call. I got important stuff to take care of and these guys holding up my time. BS

This place is great. Lots of information in here. The 911 addressing office, ombudsman for those in nursing homes, etc. Staff is helpful and in the past have helped with great causes such as donating 911 material such as coloring books, pencils, crayons, frisbees, etc to school groups, clubs, etc. Its all about educating others.

The counselor themselves have been very helpful towards me but their front desk lady was really rude to me when asking about information I didn’t get her name but she was an elderly lady with short white hair.

Ive been with sec 8 for 4yrs and my counslor is Shiela Beltran. We email each other and she has always been good about answering my questions and getting back to me in a timely manner. I never call due to no one answering phones or when leaving messages. They are never returned. I prefer email. Counslors are busy and cannot take calls all day.

I am a home owner who called to check on the section 8 process. While I do have a tenant trying to get section 8, my questions were how the process worked in general. The lady who answered my call was condescending, rude, and was argumentative. Trying to understand the process was all but impossible and ended in us yelling at each other. My name is Robert M Dennis and I called on 6/12/18 14:00. I do not remember the name of the lady I called unfortunately, but she was very strange. Many of her answers were not answers to my questions about the process but instead more about my bottom line. She kept telling me what i should and should not be doing with my property. I am not sure who she normally talks to or manages with this advice but it was highly unwanted nor needed.

I used to could call and get an answer but now when I call it sends you to voicemail. My counselor, Shelia Beltran, never process any paperwork in a timely manner. I reported a change in the middle of November due to me being out of work, she emailed me the next morning because i didnt have the documentation to go with it. I emailed it back to her within 5 minutes, she responded back saying ok thanks (or something along those lines). I went back to the office again on December 19/20, reported the SAME change that I reported in November and filed a complaint. I didnt receive a response for change in my rent until January 9 which the letter was dated, January 7. I then, received my recertification packet on January 12. I returned the recertification in on January 14, hopefully it wont take as long as it did before. 1 1/2- 2 months went by where I struggled to pay my bills. I have still been waiting for a call back from the director to at least be able to change counselors and I have YET to hear from anyone. I NEVER HAD THESE ISSUES WHEN SANDY DEANGIO WAS THERE (SHE WAS VERY PROMPT ABOUT EVERYTHING, from phone calls to emails, to me reporting any change). Something needs to be done.

I like a few of the people that work at this area cause they are really nice but i cant say the same thing about ms or mrs jackson cause she never returned calls and she acts like ppl on housing owe her something and they dont cause rent is very expensive and a lot of people cant afford to pay 3 times the amount and they are a person just like she is..

I had to return some paper work and I called So many times my calls never got returned I have a son who has cancer and he was sick so i could not bring the paper work its sad how people treat u wrong like this but they sent me a letter saying denied..
