I called to see if they had available time to change my oil and I was able to come down same day. They had it finished very quickly. Jeremy was very nice and I was even charged quite a bit less than when I went and had the same service done on the same vehicle at the Lees summit location. Ill definitely be coming back to this location for my services.

I took my Ford escape in for a transmission fluid change, an oil change, and brakes. After receiving the car back the transmission went out within 30 days. My car had 171k on it. But, technicians tell me it should have operated longer than it did. When I took it to a dealership, after the transmission went, they told me the transmission fluid was very dirty and low. I did not ask Calverts for a new transmission. I only asked for a refund for the fluid change that looks like it was never done. I right good reviews and bad. But, not receiving a refund for only one part of the services done when evidence leans toward it never was done is insulting. I believe this was a mistake. But I believe it was a mistake I paid for and not Calverts. I would not do business with this company. They would not even allow me to talk to their arbitration lawyers until after I sued them in small claims court. Fool me once shame on me. If you allow them to fool you?

Great place for quick, affordable service. The manager was working the front desk and he was incredibly friendly and shared personal stories, not trying to rush me out the door like other places. If I need anything I’ll be sure to go back

Had to choose 1 star to write a review. This situation warrants a zero on my opinion. I have never been to Calverts but needed an inspection for licensing and they were the earliest available and close by. It took 3 hours of waiting once I arrived and when all was done the vehicle did not pass and I was told it needed $665 in repairs. There had never been any indication of problems when driving so I took it to another auto shop the next day and it passed inspection and I was told it was in very good shape. Beware, be cautious and get a second opinion!

Been going to Calverts many years. Started at Waldo location & when I moved to Belton 6 years ago and found they have a shop here I was thrilled! No appointments needed and the coupon I get in my mailbox now and then is a REAL money saver. Theyre honest & reliable also.

Been here twice for 2 different cars two different problems and within 3 years. They had no idea what was wrong with either one. And charged out the a** for something so simple.

They were honest and went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. I will definitely take my car there next time I need service.

Everything went well! Everyone was so nice! I did pay extra to have fluids check $4 but yet my light for coolant continues to come on and go off randomly. My vehicle was doing that before I took it in. I figured once they checked fluids and replaced them as needed this light would go off and stay off. 🤔

One major thing I can say about this place is they are honest. And that their work is efficient.

I took my car here because it was leaking oil. I arrived later in the evening and was ask to leave me car over night which was fine. They told me they would run a dye to see what was leaking. I get a call the next day telling me my transmission was leaking and needed a new one. So I had my car sent to a place that specialized in transmissions. I get a call from them stating that my car is leaking oil not transmission fluid as Calverts stated and I was charged for the wrong diagnostic. I called them to ask if they really completed the dye test and they said yes my question is how. If my transmission was never leaking how could your dye test show it was leaking wouldnt the dye pour out my car? I trusted them until now.

Not a great experience. I called the day before going and was told that there would be an upcharge for the type of oil my car uses which is fine, Unfortunately, more charges were tacked on that I was not told about until after the service was complete, a garage charge and recover oil charge. So, the advertised price was not at all what I paid, I could have taken it anywhere for the same price. I also asked that they check my tires because the low pressure light had come on. The desk clerk told me I had phosphorus in my tires which they dont have so even if they checked my tires they would not be able to do anything about the low pressure. I left and went to my local garage where they bumped up the tire pressure with air because the reason the light came on was the cold weather. Very unsatisfied would recommend anywhere else.

Truly the most dishonest,corrupt auto repair shop I’ve ever come across. These guys will lie straight to your face and try to charge 5 times as much for probably something you don’t need in the first place. Took car in to have brakes checked. Gave us estimate for rear brakes of around 1100$. Took it to another shop within 15 miles and same work exactly was 270$. Very scandalous business and would recommend not even get oil changes there. These people should be arrested !

The girl at the counter was kind, courteous and professional. The “technition” that said he diagnosed my exhaust leak. It’s obviously broken very clearly below the donut gasket where the actual exhaust PIPE is. I was informed I needed an exhaust manifold and gaskets. He didn’t even look at it or he would have seen the manifold is perfectly fine as well as the gaskets. I hate peoples initiative these days.

Appreciated the service I received from Calverts Express Auto....They were able to do my safety inspection in a timely matter and fixed an issue that had gone unseen when having my car worked on by other dealerships. My car drives so much better. Thats why its called A SAFETY INSPECTION...Thx guysVery happy with their service...

I went in on a Saturday around noon for an free oil change for my birthday. I had a paper copy of the coupon and the clerk told me beforehand that Id still have to pay taxes ($2.67). I was told it would be an hour before it was done so I asked them to call me when it was done and I left. They called me within 30 mins. Im satisfied with how everything went and did not have any issues with them. I had been there once before and it went fine as well. Their waiting room could be nicer but there are shops and restaurants nearby so you wouldnt have to hangout there.

I have taken two different cars to Calverts in Belton and have been treated fairly every time. Today when I took my car in to get the brake pads replaced, Tyler called and said they didnt need replacing and that, In fact, the brake hardware had been installed incorrectly by whoever did the previous work (not Calverts). I bought the car just a few months ago, so Tyler recommended I call the dealer to see if they would cover it. He could have totally pulled the wool over my eyes and taken my money, and I would have had no idea. I appreciate the integrity of this business and its staff!

I am very pleased with the staff and quality of work Calverts Express in Belton gave me. I had my vehicle checked out by another car company in the area and they quoted me twice as much as Calverts did. Calverts was not trying to sell me a bunch of parts and repair work that I did not need (like other shops in the area try to do). Will be using them from now on.

I paid $614 in repairs, test drove my car around the building and parked it again. I went inside to tell them it wasn’t driving right and was still making noise and the manager was clearly irritated with me. I’m not a mechanic but I know when my car is acting up. Anyways, he told me it wasn’t making noise and invited into the shop to point it out to him which I did. Bottom line, they didn’t have an answer, couldn’t fix it, I’m out $614 and yesterday had to buy a new car because after I left their parking lot, my car wouldn’t go over 20 mph. That $614 would be nice to have back, when I took my car there it worked, when I left it didn’t.

Went in for just an oil change today and got great, quick service. Lexi at the front desk was helpful and friendly, which is something that I dont always experience at auto places as a female. Id recommend using Calverts.

This has a completely new staff and management. They are just wonderful. They will take you out into the shop and show you what is wrong with the car. Very honest mechanic shop

Spent almost 1700$ here and my issue was not fixed. Their mechanically unsound and have idea what they were doing, when I attempted to get the situation resolved the same individual involved with the horrible mechanic work was the manager. I expect a close to full refund from these people! I hope they did not take advantage of me just because Im a girl! Staff is also extremely harassing and perverse. Also witnessed staff mishandling and tampering with vehicles! Curb checking them driving them roughly eat.. People here have extreme mental health issues that need to be addressed. I say a class action lawsuit is in order!

We took my sons pt cruiser there for an oil change and have checked out, they told us it had a blown head gasket and it would cost $2000 to fix. That was not the case it was leaking around the thermostat. They were even telling him to go get financed to fix. I am glad we didnt listen to them. I will NEVER go there again, even for a basic oil change.

Went in to attempt to take advantage of the $59.95 brake special spent $1250.00. Wound up needing new calipers and rotors. While I was there waiting another customer came in for a $16.00 oil change and was shocked by a $75.00 bill. Another customer getting an inspection was failed and stunned with $700.00 in repairs to pass. My brakes do intact work however the price increases I witnessed are a red flag for me.

I went into this location about a week ago looking to get my brakes replaced because of the 59.99 deal they had on pads and they told me before they would do anything they wanted to do a free inspection so of course I let them. After maybe half an hour one of the workers came back to tell me that I needed $700 in repairs to get the car back to where it would be running fine. I refused their offer and simply left to go get another mechanic to take a look at it since I couldnt believe their estimate was legitimate. I found out that these people were actually trying to rob me. Everything they said was wrong was confirmed to be fine even though I was told by them that all four of my brake pads needed replaced and all of my rotors. Calverts in Belton is not where you want to go get your car fixed. Ive heard more stories about how theyve scammed people into thinking they need to fix things they dont since Ive talked about this occurrence. I would refrain from getting any auto work done at this location as they are a bunch of pirates in jumpsuits.

Never ever again will we ever take our cars there. The manager is a so rude . They are the biggest rip off . If you get the coupons in the mail forget it. They find a way to charge you lots more. We had a brake job done and they charged a ridiculous price for the drums. They would not budge. They also changed our oil even though we told them not to since we just had it done as we paid more for our synthetic oil change and they replaced the oil with regular conventional oil. Acted like they really gave us something extra with the oil change. When I asked him what kind of oil he out and out lied said it was a blend and it is regular conventional oil. Very unhappy with them and will never return again. What a big rip off and I hope this helps someone else not to get ripped off like we did today. I plan to report this to channel 4 action news as well.

Took my vehicle to them for an oil change and a front wheel alignment, drove my vehicle yesterday everything was fine, drove off this morning felt a vibration. went back to my house to check my tires they lug nuts were loose, and one of my stems had broken off a new Hub assembly.called and informed them of what had happened, he stated that they do not touch the lug nuts, so I asked how can you do a wheel alignment and not remove or do anything to the tire.he continued to state that they do not touch them. it is a $8 repair to get a new stem that broke off, but to not take responsibility for an error that could have put my family in danger is unacceptable, and careless.this is the second major error they have made, the other instance is when they did an oil change on my daughters’ car and forgot to up the plug back in the oil pan, so all of her oil ran out.I would not recommend using this companys serevice

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP! One recently opened in Belton, MO. I was in town that day, so I stopped by to get my oil changed. After the car was on the lift, they called me into the shop. I should have been watching through the glass window, but was doing Sudoku instead! The mechanic pointed to an area around my timing cover, said I had an oil leak and the timing cover needed to be resealed for over $700. It didnt look right--there wasnt a leak, just a smooth, oily sheen over an area of approx. one foot by one foot. I told them my oil wasnt low, my oil light hadnt come on, my check engine light hadnt come on, and there wasnt any oil spot where I park my car at home. I couldnt see anything actually dripping. They told me none of that really mattered. They then said they would knock off $200 if I went ahead and got it done that day. After that was said, my scam meter hit the red zone. Left and went to our usual mechanic in another town AND THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. This was a 2010 Ford Escape. A reliable car that Consumer Reports recommends. I searched online extensively, and couldnt find any reports of having to reseal the timing cover. I asked for synthetic oil on the oil change,and am now wondering if they scammed me on that, too. Ill check that out. Went by the next day to discuss this attempted rip off with the manager. His response was pathetic. Two sentences said over and over--He showed you the leak and come into the shop and Ill show you that we have synthetic oil. Really? Really!?

Horrible experience, the shop technicians love to use fear to scare people into paying for things they dont need/want. The front desk lady couldnt have cared less about any of the people in the lobby waiting and after the techs tried to threaten my safety if I didnt buy tires that minute from them, I watched them do this to two other customers. I will never go back.

I thought they did a wonderful job on my truck. They started working on my truck first thing in the morning. I thought it was my HUB speed sensor went out per the ABS light was on and my brakes were pulsing. It even gave them the code that this was the problem. Turned out to be electrical wire to the sensor burnt from my old exhaust. Saved me money from replacing the sensor. Thank you for the good work guys!

Took our car to Calverts on Wednesday because we found a coupon for new brakes with service for $60. After James looked over the car for a moment, he determined that the coupon did not apply to the cars needs and that it would actually cost $587 for new brakes. The car is a 2001 Chevy. But we need brakes, so he asked for $100 to order the part. After leaving (near closing time) and discussing it, we decided not to go forward with the repairs. Called back the next morning when they opened to notify them that we would not be using them for repairs and was notified that we could not get our $100 back. The part had not been ordered and, even if it had, auto repair shops return parts ALL THE TIME. I called back again to ask James what exactly the $100 was for if the repairs were not going to be done AND we could not collect the part. He said that it was for ordering the part. Now Ive never worked at an auto shop, but in other companies where frequent orders/shipments are being made, the company DOES NOT pay for individual shipping. Im certain this is the case at Calverts, but theyre business practices are obviously crooked. After writing reviews to warn potential customers NOT TO DO BUSINESS HERE, I am going to file a complaint with Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley and urge anyone who has suffered loss of hard earned money for no reason to Calverts. Thieves should not be tolerated and handled by the proper authorities.

They take care of me, tell me and shown me real cost of product being put on my car. They have been so nice and pleasant to work with I dont feel as if being taken advantage of as I do at other car repair shops. There is a minor Wait every time I go but the Wait is worth it and its 1st come, 1st serve. So if u walk out thinking to come back later when it ls not busy u will loose your spot, Ive seen people be so impatient and not want to wait and what seems like 5 mins later they are done and ready for next person. Ive also waited for 30 mins and seen the room fill up in a heart beat. Its best to call ahead and get an appointment for major repair but Ive also just walked in and got seen with in the hour. Love this place and the people who work there.

They are either dishonest or incompetent.I have never written a review online but my experience was so bad I had to write one.My wife got an coupon in the mail for a free oil change for her birthday. She wanted to travel down to Belton which is 30 minutes each way so we could go to a new place for breakfast. She figured we would try Calverts for an oil change since it would be free. I told her that often oil change places will have a coupon for a free oil change but it usually is talking about a free standard oil change. She called the night before to see how much it would be for our 2011 sienna as I knew from previous experience it needed more than a standard oil change. She called and told them the make model and year and after looking it up they said it would be 8 dollars more. The next morning we drove both our cars so my family could go to breakfast when they were changing the oil. When my wife showed up they told her it would be 49 dollars (that price included the birthday coupon). I wasnt happy it was more then 40 dollars they they said the night before but we had already traveled there with two cars so we might as well get it done. We had breakfast and did some shopping while waiting and they call saying it is done and the total was more than 60 dollars. When we went into the shop I asked to talk to the manager. The front desk person did not get the manager and stated she was the one who spoke with my wife the night before and this morning. I asked why we were given three different prices. She stated that she must have hit a wrong button the night before when she said it would only be 8 dollars additional to the coupon. She then blamed my wife stating she accepted the increased price. I then mentioned that the price increased again after the price my wife accepted. I said that if the price was going to be higher then she should have called first as most mechanics do. She admitted they should have called but the work was already done. After back and forth she gave 10 dollars off their overpriced price. I mentioned the only reason we came was to try it out with the coupon and that where we normally go is 45.88 for full synthetic and is closer. Her response was Well I wish you had gone there instead of here then, cant agree more. I guess she proved incompetent when she hit a wrong button and did not call with a higher price. I cant say dishonesty is ruled out however.

Took my car one week ago for brakes and rotors. They stripped all the lug nuts so now my tire is stuck on. We will see what they do. Call was made to main office. They may have cheap prices but the work was cheap . The employee who worked on my car is rude, damaged my car, drove it like a race car. I will never take my car there again. I will keep you posted on how they handle it.

Went in for oil change and front end alignment...already had front end looked at before I took it there n everything was good except for alignment...they go to do alignment n say I need whole front end rebuilt at the cost of $2,300...im like b.s. but whatever...got my alignment done today at NCC and ONLY thing wrong was right tie rod was a lil off from hitting something !! Calverts is a farce !!!!

I called for a quote and got a great one on replacement of an alternator and belt. Took about an hour and was good to go. No issues afterwards. They were very friendly and went above and beyond. Ive heard some bad things about this place but when I went, I had nothing but a great experience. I would recommend them for your every day auto repair.

Worst service ever. Stay away!!!! Were supposed to change a bulb in a blinker and fix a noise that I clearly told them what it was, then they told me I was wrong and fixed something else. Guess what? Mu diagnosis was correct. I still have a knocking noise in my car.

I wish I could give no stars. I went here to have my tires rotated. I was sure thats what was needed. The mechanic asked what my issue was and I explained to him the issue. He takes it for a drive and comes back with an estimate of close to $600 and ask if I want to make an appointment for Monday ( it was Saturday). He then tells me that I really need to hurry and have these issues fixed immediately. I decided not to make an appointment for Monday. As I drive my car home, I notice that it is wobbly and leaning and my tires seem like their going to fall off at any moment. Which was not the case when I brought it in. I immediately take my car and the report to my mechanic. I purchased the parts needed and my mechanic begins the work. He comes back and tells me that I should take all of the parts back and get my money because none of these things are wrong. He then tells me the only thing that I needed to have done, was to have my tires rotated ( what I initially went in for). I asked him if it was okay to drive it back home because of how wobbly it was and the way my tires sounded and seemed like they would fall off. He said that I would be fine to drive home but that whoever had looked at my cars left the screws loose and that my wheels couldve fallen off. The screws just needed to be tightened.

Ive used Calverts Express Auto three times on 3 vehicles at two of their locations, the one on Wornall and the the in Belton and they did a great job each time and the amount charged was fair. Looks to me that the ones complaining are just complaining about price. People... come one, car repair IS expensive wherever you go.I just went to Midas on State Line only because Calverts wasnt open at the time. Same scenario. They did great work, they were fast, friendly, and the rate was fair enough.Remember, you get what you pay for and you may get treated the way you are perceived! If youre a jerk, you might get treated like a jerk. Hey, you can always go to Wally-World where ya might get your oil changed. Or theyll just drain it, put a new filter on, put the plug back in and say Your car is ready Mrs. Jones.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. Their labor pricing structure is out of this world. Extremely rude staff. Oh and if you want an oil change, they will come back with 20 things wrong with your car and scare you into getting it fixed through them. Forget using the flashy red flyer for the business. They wont honor anything on it and come back saying your vehicle doesnt qualify for the discounts. Horrendous experience. Im never going there again. Take your vehicle to Belton transmission or NCC. fair prices and great and HONEST staff.

OK folks, you do NOT want to go here! Apparently they are only ok at replacing brakes and tires (if that). Maybe, just maybe, if they really make an effort they might be able to find the oil drain plug and you MIGHT (just maybe) get a decent oil change.OK, heres my experience...We (my buddy and I) had a friend replace the spark plugs and wires in the old farm truck. (Its a 2001 Dodge V8 Magnum.) It hardly needed it. The plugs and wires were getting old and we were getting a reading of a misfire on cyl. 2. So, as a matter of routine maintenance, we got them replaced. Well, our friend messed up the wires, got things crossed up somehow, and (long story short) we ended up hobbling to Calverts Express Auto Service and Tire. We barely made it, with the engine stalling out several times, etc.What did Calverts do? Well, they looked at it, hemmed and hawed, beat about the bush (or the engine), moved wires around, moved plugs around, wasted 4 hours or so and finally told us we needed a new distributor cap. Alright, so we got the cap. Still didnt run right. (Better, but still very rough.) Next they told us we may need new coils, cam sensors, etc. They even suggested new injectors. No, we finally we told them enough. They played Mr. Nice Guy and told us they wouldnt charge for all 4 hrs of labor. What was the total bill? About $176.Now, heres the punch line. We drove it about 5 miles up the road to get a second opinion. My buddy had a hunch that the wires were still mixed up. Well, sure enough! The guy at Done Right Fleet and Auto Repair (in Grandview) spent about 5 minutes fixing the problem. The wires were still mixed up! He knew just what to do. He said that he was surprised that it even ran at all with the wires switched around. He was reluctant to even charge us for the quick repair, but my buddy gladly gave him the well earned $24 or so for his time.So, bottom line: DONT GO TO CALVERTS EXPRESS AUTO!!! Unless you want to take a chance on a very botched repair job.

Very slow they drag there feet on every thang...theres no reason for it to take a hr. To get your oil changed WHEN YOUR THE ONLY ONE THERE! THE guy in the office could not multi task at all.

Terrible service. Just came for an inspection a week ago and there were a couple things I needed to fix but they also tried to get me to do extra work (replace rear break shoes that had about 50% life left). The bill they estimated was over $600. I took it home and fixed everything myself for $75 and now Im back to complete the inspection.Last weekb it took about 3 hours to do my inspection and they said about an hour. Today they said about an hour again so I called the number in the lobby to complain. The manager called me back and sounded like he wanted to argue instead of help get me in and out. An inspection shouldnt take more than 15 minutes.This place is terrible and Im not even changing my oil here anymore.
