After many local friends recommended Power Plus I had my front & rear brakes done & was incredibly impressed w/ the turn-around time. He truly impressed me when a year later diagnostics were run at a Toyota dealership that shared the rear brakes looked far too worn to have been done at the same time as the front brakes despite their typical faster wear etc... A simple phone call OVER A YEAR LATER & without hassle Johnny replaced them at no cost to me despite the work being past the 12 month warranty as he shared because he stands by his work is willing to do right by his customers and keep his reputation. If you need work done fairly and done well this is your place - Johnny & his team are awesome!

Did fine job on AC but messed up my wipers. When I went back, met a different guy to charge me $15 to change just one wiper (I agreed as I thought he is going to check the other one). He did not and claimed too busy and just mentioned ~ $200 for the other wiper motor. I went back home and ended up fixing it myself in a few minutes. Wont come back. Their price may look OK on the front, but not their service.

First Class Service and Mechanic! Driving out of Boston to Ohio on a Friday night got an alert I was losing air in my left rear tire (BMW). Googled local service stations. These guys popped up as top rated. Called Johnny at 8:00pm. He was closing, but said he’d hold open for me. Pulled into the station 20 minutes later. He was waiting. He repaired the tire in 30 minutes (two inch screw, center of tread) and I was off and going. No nonsense, smart, knows what he is doing, pleasant to do business with. Best place in the city as far as I’m concerned. Thanks!!!

Had an emergency a few months ago when my serpentine belt snapped while I was driving. Johnny didnt have the part, but offered to fix it immediately if I could find the belt and get to him before they closed. Was able to find the part at a local auto parts store and made it to Power Plus right as my car was about to die and they were about to close. Johnny and crew pulled through and fixed my car as promised. Great service, good prices, really nice people!

Johnny, Godfrey, and the crew at Power Plus deserve the praise theyve received in these Google reviews. When one of my tires blew out just a block away from the shop a few weeks ago, I pulled in to the lot expecting to have to deal with the previous owner, who hadnt given me many reasons for wanting to bring my business here. I was pleasantly surprised to see a new face come out. Johnny immediately stopped what he was doing, brought out his hydraulic jack and power tools, and within a span of three minutes, had taken off my old tire and installed the spare. He also ran back to the office and started placing phone calls to locate a replacement tire. He came back to me with some options, but also told me that I could look for a cheaper tire on my own and have it shipped directly to his shop if I preferred to do so. In fact, he was able to get a tire for about $15 less than what was advertised online, and he also was able to get it to the shop less than 24 hours later, compared to almost 10 days for a tire ordered online. Perhaps the best part was that Johnny let me drop off my old tire in the evening so that he could mount the new tire before I showed up the next day, shortening the time I had to wait to get my car back in working order. In the end, these guys saved me time and money, and they made a painful process infinitely more bearable.He also saved me from my annual routine of forgetting to renew my inspection sticker by reminding me that I had only a week left on the current sticker. Without an appointment, I went by on a busy Saturday and they did the inspection as soon as possible.This is a great shop. Theyve earned my trust by being sincerely helpful and customer-centered. Like the other reviewers here, I welcome them to our neighborhood.

Johnny and his team go above and beyond at their job! Johnny is always very patient and answers all the questions I have on the jobs that need to be done. His honesty and transparency in doing business have made the whole experience really phenomenal.I need to replace the catalytic converter and the rusted exhaust on my car. After Johnny completed the job, the engine light went on all the sudden. He found out the sensor is broken and it needs to be replaced as well. Johnny kindly offers not to charge me on the labor, but the cost of the part only. I took the car in the next day to replace the sensor and it turned out to be a huge effort for Johnny and his team. The wires around the old sensor were rusted which made a 20-minute job ended up being more than an hour ---- and with two mechanics at the same time! Two poor guys were burnt while they are getting this job done. With all that, guess what? Johnny kept his promise and still did not charge me any labor fee!I really appreciate all the effort that Johnny and his team has put in to take care of my car and I will not take my car to any other places for service from now on. Thank you Johnny!

This guy is not out to screw you on price or quality. Johnny is a truly and rare honest mechanic. Im 66 yrs old and have seen my share of a--holes. He took over the shop within the last couple of years and has proven to be the old style neighborhood mechanic. Brought my 2004 civic in last year because of a noise from the brakes in the right rear. He stopped what he was doing put the car on the lift and pulled the tire. Turned out to be a rock stuck in there. Done no charge. Gave him 30 bucks anyway. He gained coustomer for life

Excellent services! Johnny was awesome I called to bring my car back for anther repair they remembered me and are just so helpful and you can tell they know what they are doing!

Joan and I went to see Johnny on Thursday and explained to him that although new belts had been installed on our car by someone else they were making an awful noise. As soon as we told him that it was Hyundai Elantra he knew exactly what to do. The belts needed further adjusting which he did plus he inspected the car and filled it up all whilst we went shopping. We cannot say enough in praise for Johnny he was courteous and very kind. He is our go to mechanic from now on.

Everyone at Powerplus is awesome! I have been taking my truck to Johnny for years, it is very hard to find caring, honest mechanics. Throughout the years I have watched him help so many people, me included. Johnny is an angel! I feel very fortunate to have found Johnny, the mechanic who owns this station. I had just naively bought a lemon from a dealer in New Hampshire and drove it home to Belmont when I started hearing a loud scraping noise. I pulled right into Johnnys station since it was near my house and I was desperate. He immediately came out and after I explained my situation, said from a brother to a sister, never do that again! He helped me fix my car up (I needed an entirely new front end) and has been helping me ever since. Hes fast, reliable, and he is always busy because he truly cares and donates his time to help people. I cant recommend him enough!
