In town for the weekend and needed somewhere to get a good workout. I heard good things about this location and the recommendation proved truthful. Received a warm welcome from the staff and everyone was kind and courteous. Ive been to plenty of golds gym locations and this express was perfect for what I needed to do. They had a great area for CrossFit style training and plenty of equipment for all strength athletes and bodybuilders. I visit Waco often to see family and will certainly be back here if my stay falls on a workout day. The daily drop-in fee is $15. Gladly paid it and was on my way.

The employees were really nice, and the equipment was fine. Nothing fancy, but I didnt want that. (Last visit was 3 years ago, so it might be better now). Store employees were great. My issue was with the corporate policies. I only wanted to pay month to month, but even with that they kept taking the money from my bank even after I called the gym to cancel (when they stopped the free buddy program) and stopped the payments at the bank. I ended up paying for a 3 month bill that would have gone to collections. So, be careful! You may ONLY cancel in person, when the manager is there, and when the computer works. I made 3 separate trips to cancel. Very easy to sign up; very hard to cancel.

Great gym. Great equipment. And even better front staff. Ron in the morning is like a cup of coffee mixed with sunshine. He just makes you happy when you walk in the door with his enthusiasm and him calling you by name. And when you leave the “ have a great day (insert name)” is the lil extra sunshine he brings you.

This is a good gym. I wish it was open later - as I work nights, Im not able to go as often when theyre open and often end up working out at home. Theres only one class offered here, and few things found at the other golds gym are found here.

I really enjoy the gym, it is always very clean and the equipment is in great condition. I do wish they would bring back the tanning beds because I enjoyed going more when they had them. I had a problem many months back with the staff being a bit rude but I responded to a survey and the manager Jamie emailed me back and was very nice and stated it would be worked on, since then the staff has been very friendly. I enjoy going here and I now have my husband going as well..

Phenomenal layout with exactly what I need. The weights are in great condition, the staff is friendly, and the drinks are at an agreeable price when youre a gold member-which is like 20 bucks a month. They even have a cardio cinema, which can easily make a run fly by. Only thing that is a downer is that they no longer have the tanning booths.

Benjamin & Reed are amazing, friendly and helpful. Its an awesome feeling to head into this gym after a long day and be greeted with smiles. The other day, my keys fell behind the lockers. Benjamin and Reed spent an hour trying to retrieve them, and eventually did. I was so impressed by their determination and ingenuity while simutaneously maintaining a sense of humor about the whole thing. This gym is always spotlessly clean and its by far the best Golds Ive ever visited.

The staff is helpful. The facility is always clean and smells good. I have lost 30 lbs working out here. It is very inviting and the front desk is friendly.

Driving past this gym you wouldnt think it was much, an old shopping center turned fitness center. However, inside it is modern,clean,well lit, and offers a low cost, quick fitness routine. I really like coming here and the unlimited tanning helps a lot too. The staff is really friendly, and you cannot beat their low monthly fee. I also enjoy the accsessability this place offers, opens early, stays open late during the week and even during the peak times I can still easily get on a machine.This place would have had 5 stars if they offered group fitness classes, Id love to shake it a zumba or stretch it out in Yoga.

I would like to say thank you to the staff and Sammy for being so polite and helpful. The Bellmead location is always clean and has great equipment.

This review is about the management, not the staff. Everyone at the front counter is great but the management is absolutely terrible. I had a question about a charge to my account and have gone in twice to speak to a manager but none were working. Staff at the front counter took down my information and said they would pass it to management. I’ve called and left two messages and sent an email to the manager Sammy. No one has made any attempt to get in touch in over two weeks. Take your money and go to a gym where you are actually valued as a customer.

Nice clean gym, been working out there for several years.. Nice atmosphere, people are sociable for the most part of course that may just be me. equipment is acceptable for a regular joe gym but not so much if youre a powerlifter but again it would still do. If youre an advanced lifter you might feel a little out of place. Mostly newbies and some intermediate lifters but not many advanced lifters for the most part.

Always loved this gym. Good people who work there as well. Manager is a good guy.

Exactly what its supposed to be... a gym where you can get your workout in and move on. Unlike some other gyms that are full of young people who use it as a social hangout restricting people from using equipment to do their workouts.

These people are thieves. It has taken me over 3 months to cancel my account as nobody seems to know how to actually get it to stop drafting my account. Go to another gym that isnt ran by thieves.

Nice gym, rude employees who only care about getting paid. I will not be going back. Dealt with David many times only to be lied to and talked to like Im an idiot.

Im from out of town , and went to Golds Gym Express here in Waco . I let them know i was a franchise member and wanted a day pass as ive been a member for over a yr. The desk clerk was very rude and told me i should know better if im a Golds member that my travel pass doesnt work at a corporate gym. Insisted i pay a week pass for $49 or pay for a month pass. He is the sole reason i will never go back. I went yesterday 01/23/18 at 7pm.

This would be a much better gym if tha FREE WIFI that you advertise would actually work properly for a complete workout. Every day I have problems with the wifi. Really makes me lose motivation when I have to listen to that crap that plays on the speakers in the gym. If it werent for that it would be much better.
