Ed and his son have been very proficient and professional. I was referred to them by another mechanic in Long Beach. I initially took a 2006 PT Cruiser that needed a new PCM (computer brain) among several other issues, and Eds Auto Electric were amazing at diagnosing that twice I was sold a defective part from an online store. Finally, they ordered a part for me for almost the same price! They fixed all that was wrong with the car and were extremely fair in the total charges, the car runs great, Im so glad that I was referred to them.They both posses extensive knowledge about anything related to the mechanics of vehicles of just about any make and is not limited to electrical mechanics. Their pricing is both fair & competitive to other pop-shops and in my experience Ive gotten a lot more for my money at Eds than I have at other comparable places.These guys know what theyre doing - I highly recommend Eds Auto Electric. If they dont do it, theyll recommend someone competent that does. To ensure timely service, I suggest that you call ahead to get a window of time that is best for both of you. There is VERY limited space in the lot so when you call, you may want to ask where to park when you get there.I was not compensated nor asked to write this review; these are my honest and unpersuaded experiences & opinions.

Do not and I repeat DO NOT GO HERE! I caught them cold lying about completing a service I paid for and my car was in worst condition then when I left it. If I can give them less than one (1) star, I would!

Love this place! They are respectful, and courteous. Their main concern is getting you back on the road as quick as possible with every option depending on your budget. Towed my car in and was done before they left and he even stayed longer than closing to make sure i was good to go!

I would give this place a 10 star review but only given a 5 star option, well lets see where to start I have been coming to Eds auto for about almost 7 years now and Im always given great customer service and top quality work at a very reasonable price. Ive been taking my corvette here to get all my service done weather its from a basic oil change to throttle body sensors, shifter replacements and fuel pump replacements. My car is always done when we agree on the time frame it can be finished if not most of the time sooner which is always good news especially because when cars tend to break down are always unexpected and never a heads up. I refer all my friends and family with car problems here as should you do too. Thanks ED *F.A.N*

Took truck in for electrical problem they cannot figure out whats wrong with it and charged $85 for nothing. As a contractor when I go to a job if I am unable to fix something I will not charge for telling you I dont know how to fix it. This place is a total rip-off stay away Im sure there are honest Auto Electric places around this is not one of them. All the negative reviews pretty much speaks for this place.

All my experiences have been both pleasant and efficient. Eds had his business since the 80s, long before star ratings and shady, biased reviews. There is a reason he is still here and still remains busy with a loyal and dedicated clientele. His work speaks for itself. cheers!

They completely fixed my sons Cobra. The Cobra runs better then before. And faster. The Mercedes runs great. Prices are far. We will only take our vehicles to Eds Auto Electric. Pease take your vehicles here. You will not regret it.

Very rude. I went in with an inquiry and when I didn’t want to pay the $85 diagnostic fee, I told him well ok thanks. And he replied well good!! And walked away. Needs to be polite to the people that walk away too. Because now when I do have the money it won’t be for this business.

So let me just start off by saying I’m suprised this place has been open for so long. If I could give this place a negative zero I would. My father paid 1500 dollars for unnecessary work. The car had been in the shop for over a month now. The owners son is a pathological liar. The son called saying the car would be ready by 7. He said the worker that installed the part was stuck in traffic at 12pm. Long story short my father went to pick up the car at 7 like son said to do. ED the owner and the father basically told my dad that his son was lying. Not only did he lie but the part wasn’t even shipped. Refused to give to a refund, threatened to call the police numerous amount of time on my father whenever he went to the shop to check on HIS CAR. As far as I’m concerned I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Sounds like they are just looking to come up. Not only did the owner DISRESPECT my father.THE OWNER THREW MONEY AT MY DAD IN HIS FACE. He threw money at a paying customer. The owner REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE PAYMENT AND REFUSED TO GIVE US THE CAR. We then got law enforcement involved and that is how we got our car back. I’m reporting this business to cbar. And I’m pressing charges. Ed, his son, and their workers need a reality check. You can’t do this to people and expect to get away with it!

They did a good job, lights are working. It was dont quickly. I dont think they waive the $75 diagnostic fee like they said they would if the repair was minor. They still charge you for whole job plus $75.

Took my car for an electric problem, they said it was the mass air flow sensor, they replaced it and the car ran good for a few hours then It shut down again. The problem was the pcm but they could not diagnose it right. Spend unessesary $300.

I have been going to EDs Electric for over 15 years and have never had an issue. I have taken my dually truck there when harbor chev, could not find the problem, and have taken my motorhome their to ramp up the amps, due to working on off-road vehicles at night. I am not sure if some of the other reviews are mechanically incline, but when it comes to car electrical, this shop is the best in the surrounding area.

Do not take any of your vehicles here i took my 1994 ford ranger there for a bad transmission solenoid problem and it took them 3 weeks to fix it and they charged me 110 more dollers than what was said on the phone. After i got my truck back i had it for 3 days about 100 miles and it broke down again they took it back in and fixed it again but my transmission ran very badly i finally took it to the ford dealer and i had to get a brand new transmission because eds destroyed all the gearing. Plz save your time and money and dont ever take your vehicle here EVER

I would never take another car there sgain. I have a 57 Chevy wagon with the painless wire harness that I already had installed. There was a couple problems I took it there to be fixed 1200 $ later I get my car back with the fuse box hanging down wires everywhere sterio not installed dome light dont work. Now they wont even talk to me on the phone. How do they stay in business?

Hello i am Pastor Calvin, please stay away from this place, these people are the most dishonest & cruel people Ive ever met, I am filing a small claims lawsuit now because they misdiagnosed my car and charged me 419 dollars saying all they needed to do to fix my interior lights in my ford Explorer was to replace the Ajar switches, then they kept my car for over 2 weeks claiming the Ajar switches they ordered was faulty I called these people every 2 days and even went by the shop and they was working on other cars are not even there until 11 am, they continue making excuses of why my lights was not working attempting to charge me more money but I started video taping on my phone and the man got scared know that i had enough and it was going to get serious so he Lied like the devil saying he was not paid to fix my lights at all, people yourself some grief and stay away from Mr Ed and his son, they have no Respect or Shame for wrong doing,Thank you for Reading and I pray Ive help someone from going through the stress
