This has been a difficult relationship since day one. They misrepresented the capabilities of what was a high end office color Xerox Docucolor printer, and they misrepresented the response time for service. Once you buy the printer you have no other options for supplies and service. Since the primary job I am printing is beyond what the printer was designed for the maintenance has been excessive. I made the decision to buy this particular printer based on their recommendation at the time. I would not have purchased it if they told me it could not print our publication reliably. Now they have dramatically increased my cost per copy in order to drive me into a new machine. I told them that I am willing to consider it but needed to see something in writing. They will not even give me a proposal unless I am willing to commit to give them “last look” on any other proposals I receive. I told them they had not earned that right. Pricing per copy has more than doubled since I bought the equipment and there are times when I have waited days for them to service my equipment when it fails. Their response is to tell me they are going to further raise my rates since I will not play by their rules. My experience is if I listen to my customers needs and take care of them with quality products and excellent service they will reward me with their business and probably even pay me a little more. QBSI takes the path of telling you anything necessary to get their equipment in the door and then strong arm you to keep it. They do not even do the basics like return phone calls in a timely manner. Typically it takes at least two emails or phone calls to get anyone from sales or service to respond. Like most large companies, they do have some individuals that do a good job. The individual field equipment service reps are great once they get to your job site. I tried for four years to work with this company and it took me this long to write a negative review.
