I was quickly greeted and taken back for my massage even though I was very early. I had an exceptional experience w/ a young lady whose (sadly) name I have forgotten. She is almost graduated and heading towards her masters...that much I remembered. She was exceptionally talented and I could tell, this was a vocation she truly loved. I will continue to go back to Aesthetics Northwest Institute because I believe the quality of training and care for the client goes above and beyond!

Since I posted my last review, I would like to update. I finally heard from the school to be shown microneedling. I cant wait to see the demo and the follow through from the school. I will update on whether or not I was taught from the school.

I heard about Aesthetic NW from a friend and decided to treat my daughters in law to a spa treatment. Each one of us were thrilled with the spa services that we received. Cassidy did an anti-aging facial and an eyebrow/eyelash tint for me and both treatments were better than expected. I came away feeling relaxed, energized and excited to come back again! I was long overdue for a facial and saw that one of my past coworkers started her master esthetician program here. Ashley S. did an amazing job on my deep pore cleansing facial. It was so relaxing that I fell asleep and woke up glowing. She’s also the first person that did a facial on me without getting my eyelash extensions or hair wet.I will defiantly be back every couple of weeks to improve my skin it to its best shape.

I have been having absolutely astounding experience with Aesthetics Northwest institute which compelled me to write a review for them. I was introduced to this place by one of the family friend who is coming to them from the last 15 years and now I am also besotted by their professionalism, reasonable priced and remarkable service. After entering into the door you are firstly greeted with the mesmerizing smile of Shyama. She had been super helpful in providing the best staff as per the clientele requirements. She booked me with Denise Dalbey-kipps for the facial and now I am totally smitten with her expertise on giving the massage, civility and positive energy. She is very skillful and knowledgeable with all skin types and doesn’t even dodge from taking Shyama’s or Teresa’s insight if it’s been required. I have a acne prone skin and was previously nervous before approaching them. But their knack of skills along with the application of vegan products has fixated me to look nowhere besides them. I had the full works done here. IT WAS FABULOUS! I am heading back monthly now. The cost is way lower than other spas but the content is SUPERIOR! I am very impressed by the teaching of Ms. Munro. Her students seem to love her and her kindness with them overflows throughout the school. She brings a calm energy to your visit and with this you get the most out of your experience.

I attended Aesthetics Northwest Institute in 2015 and it was one of the best learning experiences I have ever had. Having been in the workforce for many years I wasnt really interested in doing the whole college thing; after visiting every school in Seattle I decided to go to ANI and I LOVED it! The course is straight to the point and very in depth. I love the staff; its a very close knit place. The classes are very small and youre able to get a lot of one on one time with your instructors and ask a lot of questions. I felt like they were always concerned with me knowing the information and prepared me WELL to take the State Board Exam. I got the opportunity to work with many clients which gave me real world experience as well. After I graduated they still sat down and walked through everything I needed to do before my state board exam which was great because they went the extra mile to see me succeed. To this day I still have a relationship with them. Theyre always posting jobs and positions for students and keep in touch after you leave. I absolutely adore Aesthetics Northwest Institute and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in going into the skin care field.

I have been coming here on and off for over 25 years and have had many fabulous aestheticians in training do an amazing job on facials. I would choose this school to have facials any day. It is true the ambiance is not like a fancy spa but you are not paying the big prices those spas charge. Their products are very good as well.

What a great experience this place is time and time again for me! It is such bargain for the person who loves frequent pampering as well students getting experience needed for the outside world.

The person on the phone was rude to me. He had an undertone of attitude and aggression. I was just asking a couple of questions. It seems as though they do not cater to inquiring potential students. I definitely will look elsewhere to go to aesthetics school.

I am a recent graduate of Aesthetics Northwest in the Master Esthetics Program ( about 3 months ago). I found the experience to be more than I had expected. My instructors were very knowledgeable in every aspect of the Esthetics industry. I especially appreciated the small class size and the individual attention paid to each student in our class. Not only did we learn in-depth skin analysis for each type of skin (European skin typing, Fitzpatrick Scale, etc.) as well as nutrition as it relates to the function of the skin, we learned about 30 different facial treatments, Acne treatments, Lifting, Anti-aging, Rosacea, sun damage, peeling treatments, oxygen therapy, sensitive skin and many more, using 2 professional skin care lines. Nothing like and over the counter or OTC as they are referred to in the industry which most other schools I researched tend to use. All students had the opportunity to become proficient in the use of all the equipment with regard to various facial treatments. We learned how to analyze using the woods lamp UV light as well as the 5 diopter loupe. We learned how to use all of the relevant devices in accordance depending upon which facial treatment was indicated by each clients skin on every treatment we performed. Including High frequency, galvanic current, iontophoresis, Lucas championare, microdermabrasion, LED light therapy and many more. Every time a client came in for a facial we would analyze the clients skin then our instructor would analyze the client with us and at that time it would be determined which treatment would be indicated. For an example if the client had been in the sun we would not perform any treatment including exfoliating, and so on. When I entered the program I had little knowledge or interest in waxing. After being taught how easy and profitable it can be, it became one of my favorite services.Due to the flexible schedule Aesthetics Northwest offers as well as the ability to complete 300 hours of my 1200 hour program program online I was able to finish the program much sooner than I had anticipated. I passed both my written and practical exams with no difficulty what so ever. Within 2 weeks of gradating I had 3 very attractive job offers. I interviewed all three and decided on job # 2 (one of the most respected Medi- Spas on the Eastside). I am so excited with my new position. Not only am I performing facial treatments but I am doing laser hair removal, hydro facials, chemical peels, micro needling, body sculpting and many other advanced treatments.It was unfortunate to see a couple of students in the school, not in my class, trying to game the system and not take advantage of all the opportunities offered to all students by the Institute. The school treats the students like adults and in turn expects them to act like adults. Which I did find very refreshing.It seems not everyone is able to understand this. To these students I would say, welcome to the real world! Your next employer is going to expect you to take responsibility not only for your actions but your attitude as well.Thank you JoAnne for your seemingly unending knowledge of the science of esthetics and skin care and sharing that knowledge with us and thank you Teresa for your knowledge, direction of my education and unwavering support of each student.I cant tell you how excited I am about new career.Love you ladies,Annette

LOOK NO FURTHER!I am writing this review as a successful esthetician who started it all by walking in the doors of Aesthetics Northwest Institute and talking a tour. I was immediately impressed by the professionalism, and the friendliness of the employees and students.The evening program allowed me to keep my job while I prepared for my career. My instructors were truly passionate industry professionals who gave me the tools I needed to feel confident about all the information I learned and how to apply it. I had never excelled at school before but something about ANI and skin care clicked and I had never been more excited!By the time I graduated I knew how to: completely custom-tailor skin treatments for any skin type and skin condition, create awesome brows, I was re-booking my very own clients, confidently recommending the proper home care for facials, doing full body waxing, back & body treatments (“Oleoslim Body”) by Nelly deVuyst is the best!), The possibilities they gave me were endless.Upon graduation, I passed my state board test with flying colors and soon after I had a coveted position at one of The Eastside’s five-star day spas as a full time esthetician. Having ANI on my resume was definitely a feather in my cap. Since I have owned my own successful skin care business; and I am now mentoring future esthetic professionals. One month ago, I took my State Board Exams, I passed (first attempt). With the help of the school, the extra classes offered by Miss JoAnne, Teresa and Shahma (and of course all my hard work), I passed the state board exam. If you want to pass on your first try, this is the school to be, theyll help you anyway they can to make sure that the student passes the State Board Exam, I highly recommend this college. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington and have enjoyed practicing Dental hygiene for 20 plus years. However, I began to suffer from tennis elbow like symptoms from the repetitive motion movements that practicing dental hygiene requires and after much thought I decided to peruse a career in esthetics. When researching schools in the Seattle area I knew that I wanted to get the best education I could possibly get. After much online research, I found out that Aesthetics Northwest was the only school in The Seattle area that offers the flexibility and small class size I was looking for. So, I contacted Vincent the admissions person and after talking with him I then decided that this school was the best choice for me. He was very knowledgeable about the industry and answered all my questions. Not only does JoAnne excel in making each subject interesting but she truly has a passion for teaching esthetics and has a gift for explaining in detail each aspect of skin care knowledge and also the science and chemistry needed to pass the exams. In addition, her classes are very small and very hands on. Teresa is a top-notch Esthetician, she is so knowledgeable. You cannot go through the course without experiencing her class. As a hands-on teacher, she was very informative and meticulous in her approach to the state board exam. Thanks to her I passed my state boards practical exam with no stress. I love being an esthetician and I am thankful to JoAnne for her guiding me every step of the way. I highly recommend her as a professional and good person. She has your best interest in mind. Due to JoAnne’s wonderful teaching and support I was able to get a job that I truly enjoyed and then went on to start my own Skin Care business.It’s a job to find a job. Don’t give up.
