From the first consultation we knew we had come to somewhere special. If you’d been ring shopping like we had, going to dozens of stores with the same tired designs, Greenlake was a completely new world for us. I had a special situation. A diamond from them that unfortunately I purchased at an auction, so they could only buy back at cost. They kept saying that was a really nice thing I did to support a charity, but eh all we can do is buy at next to nothing and that was doing me a favor. I do understand the huge mark up better given what they offered. I know it is in all jewelry, but sad as I tried to work with them and the radio ads say they are the largest custom jeweler in the country. I get overhead with ads on radio cost a lot. So Yes, they did very nicely say eh, good luck!

When we met with Kathy at Green Lake Jewelry Works we had a lot of the details already figured out. We liked a few of the styles we had seen on the Green Lake Jewelry Works website but we wanted something pretty specific and for us. We knew what we liked and we knew what we didnt like. Kathy was very good at helping us determine what would work, and what probably wasnt a good idea. During this process Kathy made very good recommendations to us to make it even better. With Kathys help we were able to come up with a ring that was what we envisioned. We created a platinum engagement ring with a low set center diamond. The ring has a combination of diamonds and rubies (our birth stones) on the sides with milgrain and diamonds in the gallery bar to give the ring a nice accent and make it really stand out. We love the custom engagement ring and would recommend Green Lake Jewelry Works to anyone looking for a custom ring or a ring that is in stock.

I got engaged in early March but my fiancé got a size 7 ring (he had no idea what size to get) and I needed a size 6. I live down in Gig Harbor so obviously I wanted to stay somewhat close to home, I called about 9 different jewelry stores in the south sound area and everyone had nothing less than 2+ weeks for ring sizing. I had seen Green Lake Jewelry Works ads on buses (I work in Seattle) so I figured it’d be a long shot but I would give them a call. They were able to resize my ring IN 1 HOUR!!!! Not only that but the cost was very close to the prices I was quoted for having to give up my engagement ring for over 2 weeks. I got engaged that morning & of course was so excited I couldn’t imagine not having it for an extended period of time. I drove out to Bellevue that afternoon and they completed the resizing in barely 45 minutes. I was so happy, they did an amazing job and even cleaned it for me. Everyone I encountered was extremely helpful and kind. I will definitely be back for all my jewelry needs!

I recently brought some family heirlooms to Green Lake Jewelry Works to get them cleaned and sized because they had been sitting in boxes for years. I met with Robert who carefully evaluated each piece and said we would have to add a shank to one ring, possibly to the other, but the rings were in great shape. I was quoted a fair price and left. The rings came back meticulous. They have a great restorative reputation and I’ve have heard nothing but great things; now I know first hand and will even be back to purchase something new for myself because their jewelry is phenomenal and custom work cannot be matched.

I dont often leave reviews but I had to for this experience. I was recommended to work with Ben out of the Bellevue location. I was shopping for an engagement ring and had absolutely no knowledge of what I was doing. Ben was a tremendous help. He took the time to educate me and made sure that the ring I was buying was something that I was happy with and proud of. There was never any pressure to buy something that I wasnt sure of. I made multiple visits, and each time it was a pleasure working with him. The diamond I ended up going with was something he had gotten ordered for me based on what he had learned that I was looking for. The main stone fell out of my three stone wedding ring. Luckily I found it. I got quotes from 3 local jewelers, including Green Lake Jewelry Works. All 3 agreed I needed a new center setting and tips redone on the two outer stones. Green Lake quoted half the price of the other two jewelers. They also quoted half the turn around time. They were friendly and professional. They came through exactly as quoted and my ring looks great. I’d highly recommend them!

I brought in a bracelet for repair that was made by my great grandfather about 1930 it is very special to me. The person that helped me was Ryan he took as much time as I needed to explain what work should be done and even though I felt it needed more he explained to me why I didnt need the extra work which I felt was very honest. Since my bracelet had to be left there to do the work he wrote an insurance estimate for the value of my bracelet that I felt very comfortable with. My entire experience with Greenlake Jewelry Works was wonderful I look forward to having them do more work for me. What I liked the most about everyone there is that they treated me like I was spending several thousand $ there when I was only getting a repair, it felt good to be treated like a queen😊

Green Lake Jewelry Works is ahead of the game. Their designers are so patient and talented. I worked with Sophia to create a engagement ring from scratch. I pulled up a template from their website and told her how I wanted to change it. She said that she would talk with an engineer, and 3 weeks later I had the engagement ring of the Century. Not only was it prettier than we had imagined, but it was a truly unique piece for my Fiance. However, any jeweler can make a ring. What makes GLJW so amazing is their service. Sophia regularly messaged me with images of how the ring would look, the wax molding and eventually when then diamonds were inserted. She truly made my experience great. So great I used her again for the wedding band! If you want a jeweler who realizes you are a person with unique needs (after all, no girl wants an impersonal ring), then Green Lake Jewelry Works is the place for you. I honestly feel like I purchased the hand crafted custom rings for a steal too! Thank you for such a great experience.

My experience with Green Lake was 100% positive from beginning to end. I had a time restriction that Mitch was willing to work with, but that was longer than their normal lead time for a custom ring. My designer, Mitch, was energetic and helpful and knowledgeable. When I didnt find the center stone I wanted, Mitch made calls to find exactly what I wanted and then had the lady he spoke with pull the stone and check it herself to make sure it was eye-clean and sparkly. Even when I was unhappy with the initial renderings and wanted some fairly large changes made (sorry again, Mitch!) everyone was very polite and very helpful. And even with the original time restriction AND me wanting to change virtually the entire ring half way through AND adding in some extra tooling/cuts we hadnt discussed before, these people still were able to get my ring to me not just on time, but a full 3 days early! And the prices were much more than fair, even for a custom ring. I was never very happy about going to a larger store to begin with... Everything felt or looked cheap, or was ridiculously expensive. Green Lake presents itself like any other higher end jewelry store, but has the personable and comfortable feel of a smaller, family - owned type of business (which I believe they are, actually). I had been to every other large chain (Shane, Jared, Ben Bridge and Robbins Brothers) more than once and was sold on Green Lake shortly into my first visit. Everyone seemed just as excited as I was to design and make a custom ring that my fiance would love. Thank you all very much for making this such a great experience for me, and for making such a fantastic ring for my fiance!

I worked with Caitlin to reset some stones from my grandmother into a more modern setting. She explained several options to me during the design process and kept in constant contact with me during the setting. She was available for any and all questions, and was honestly fun to work with. My girlfriend the time (now wife) basically have me a checklist of what she wanted in her ring. Double halo, emerald cut diamond, white gold. I looked around for ages and rarely found emerald cut diamond rings, rarely found single halo rings, never found single halo emerald cut rings, and definitely never found what my wife was looking for. Someone recommended Greenlake Jewelry and I’m so glad they did. I was able to get her exactly the ring she wanted and Greenlake Jewelry helped me understand all the minute details of deciding on the things my wife had left to me to decide. I worked with Ben at the Bellevue location to design a custom engagement ring for my now fiancé. Ben was very helpful and accommodating when I wanted to make a couple of minor changes during the process. And he was very helpful with educating me about the nuances of diamonds and how to select the perfect one. They involve the customer intimately in the process and I got a custom ring from expert designers/jewelers for a price that was better than if I’d gotten an off the shelf ring from a big jewelry store. This is a review for the Bellevue store because I didn’t have a great experience at the Northgate store. I wanted my wedding ring redesigned for my 30th wedding anniversary. Ben was my designer and he was fantastic. He made me feel that my vision was possible and would be beautiful. I loved communicating on my design page. I was able to add photos of aspects of the design I wanted and other ideas. Ben then sent me drawings of his designs. He is a very precise designer and his communication was very clear and thorough. After I chose a drawing of his there was a more precise CAD drawing done. When I agreed to that they had a wax model made for me to try on. That was very helpful. Ben even balanced my diamonds in the wax model to help me picture the final result. I picked up my ring last week and it is perfect! I highly recommend Ben and the Green Lake Jewelry Works in Bellevue!

I get compliments on my ring from total strangers at least 2-3 times a week. I have since gone back to Lena to rebuild an heirloom necklace and it was affordable and looks like new. If you are looking for the perfect, one of a kind ring or jewelry piece period, look no further! I started my design process in February and received my beautiful, perfect ring a few weeks ago. My designer was Ben and he was amazing, patient and really listened to my ideas. I am pretty OCD and pay attention to details. He let me know what his opinions were on my ideas and we just went from there. I wanted one ring to wear, engagement and wedding band in one, and my ring is perfect! I wont lie, there was a little glitch in my design and Ben worked with his team, even on his days off, to make sure the design was fixed. Let me tell you, they are magic designers, because they corrected the design and I have no idea how they fixed, but they did and its amazing! My stones represent my wedding colors and our birthstones. Then I have my wedding flowers and a few design elements for my husband engraved into my ring as well. Thank you for making such amazing jewelry! I live on the opposite side of the U.S. from them, so if you are worried about not meeting in person, dont be! Communication was perfect! I’ve checked out a few places for engagement rings but have yet to find such a relaxing atmosphere. Despite the fact that they are commission based, you won’t feel any pressure in buying, I walked out of their Bellevue location with peace in mind and my fiancé absolutely loved the ring!

This is not your average jewelry store. The staff are genuinely personable and interested in figuring out what we liked. They were clearly not limited to what they had in stock, and we didnt want anything but a unique heirloom piece to clebrate out 10 year anniversary. They showed us a variety of designs and unmounted gems. In the end, they were able to put it all together to design the ring we wanted. The quality of the final product is so impressive we can hardly stop looking at it. We are incredibly happy that we went to Greenlake.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience designing my engagement ring with Ashlen at Green Lake Jewelry Works. I could not be happier with the final product-- a delicate yellow gold band with an infinity symbol motif and a small diamond set with a twisted half bezel.I was consistently impressed with Ashlen’s ability to translate my feedback for the CAD designer, and the ability of the CAD designer to quickly and effectively iterate on the design. It got closer to my vision of the ring every time they sent me an updated rendering, and by the time they 3D-printed the wax for me to try on, no additional changes were necessary-- it was exactly how I’d imagined it.I hope to have a reason to work with GLJW again someday, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

Love their custom made rings! I got my fiancé a standard ring, but asked them to do a unique picture engraving on the inside. They did a fantastic job and the picture came out great!

This was my first experience with a custom jeweler. Ben with Greenlake Jewelers on Main in Bellevue was extremely caring and attentive in my endeavor to create a ring that incorporated my wedding set with my recently passed mothers wedding set.
