Their online services are horrendous. I am trying to login to my account to setup autopay. When I go to login, I am taken to a page to verify my information. I am asked for my first name and last name. When I enter those, I get a generic error message that something went wrong, please contact us. I spend 45 minutes on the phone with customer service, where the representative is going back and forth with someone else about my problem. Finally they decide that they need to file an IT ticket and that I will get a phone call about my problem. I never get a phone call. Now when I try to login to my account, it says that my password is incorrect. When I try to reset my password, I never get the password reset email. So frustrating! I dont want to have to pay by phone or mail forever...

Creeping up charges and you have to watch you hill closely because they often throw. Charge on there for absolutely no reason. Every time it happens, I call and they say, oh, no description of what was wrong so we will remove the charge. Frustrating and borderline fraudulent.

I am so grateful for the employees at Republic.The driver at my 90 yo mothers home, saw her hobbling down the driveway one day to collect a bin. Ever since that day, which was been over a year ago, he has taken it upon himself to bring up every single bin to her garage door - garbage, recycle and yard waste.His kindness and thoughtfulness fortifies my faith in humanity.When I called to make a commendation, the woman was so kind and helpful.Theyve never missed a day in years (contrasting other complaints on here).

I submitted a request to change out my garbage bin and yard waste bin to different sizes 2 weeks ago, yet still having my bins standing by the street waiting to be swapped out until today😂... Called them many many times, some say that they only do service on Fridays, some say they will do deliveries on week days, some say they will call me back on the next business day, yet I am still waiting for the right bin so that I can get my trash out...

I’ve contacted Republic Services twice about missed yard waste. Both times I’ve been promised to get my yard waste picked up. And sure enough, nobody showed up to pick it up. If there were other waste companies serving our area, I would switch right away.

I would love to give 0 stars if possible, worst service I have had to deal with in my life. They missed picking up my trash and when I called them they said it would be mostly because I did not keep the trash out. Their service is a joke, avoid if you have the option to.

Have missed pickup at least three in 10 weeks.I am getting tired of calling to get a scheduled pick up. How hard is it to pick up garbage on your scheduled route? Why am I paying for this kind of poor service?I dont know why this is the only garbage pick up company in our county. Service is so bad and missed pick up is a common thing. I demand a refund! It is incredibly frustrating.

We have had their service for three months and they are consistently not picking up our trash, recycling, and compost. I understand why this company has the low review rating and all the one star reviews. The drivers that have our route (SE 48th St. in Sammamish Wa.) are horrible and fail to do their job. They are rude and petty for no reason. I had to call three times in one week for three missed pick ups. First call they missed two of the cans and I was told the following day they would come out and get the missed two cans. They only got one so that made it the second missed pick up then the following week the compost was missed yet again. My compost hasn’t been picked up for two weeks meaning some of the compost food has been stewing in the can for going on three weeks. I was promised a supervisor would call me within 48 hours and that was 8 days ago, still no call. This company needs to hire people that actually have good work ethic and are honest. My next step is contacting the city. I have records of all my calls and pictures and of the missed pick ups, the trash they leave all over the curb, the cans blocking my driveway or the cans in the road, and pictures of what trash is in which can to prove I am sorting the waste properly even though that is the lie used by the drivers every week.Update: I sent an email to the email address provided in the response from the company and never heard anything back. Clearly it’s an automated response and the email is not monitored. The company finally picked up the missed trash and then billed me for their mistake. Great Customer service.Update: Today was our trash pick up day and the recycling driver didn’t pick up our recycling. I have pictures of everything that was in the can to prove it was all sorted correctly and pictures showing they missed the pick up today. Also I never heard back from Customer Service about the fee they added to our account when I was promised a return call. They failed to do the job we pay them to do and they had to come out and get missed trash so they add additional charges (dishonest and unethical company). I am guessing they will add another fee to come and get the recycling they failed to pick up today.

Your pickup crew is excellent. However, is there a way to ask them not to dump the recycling trucks collector into the trucks main stowage in front of my driveway? Invariably, broken glass shards fly out into the driveway and street, presenting a serious hazard to our motorcycle tires. It would be nice if your trucks stopped leaking hydraulic fluid also, it seems to be a fleet-wide problem.

Their trucks are not well maintained and drip oil along the street. Very unpleasant and bad for the environment. They often also leave a trail of recycling debris along the way.(older) Absolutely the worst customer service experience. They really dont care about their customers because they have a monopoly relationship based on the contracts with the cities they serve. Their trucks drop trash and recycling all along the route. Miss pickups regularly with no prorating of the bill. You can can put out double next week! Yay(older) For those who are interested in a followup, the response from the owner suggested that they would love hearing from me. I did message them, twice, and got no response. So the request to help, etc. is essentially just a fake response to make them seem more customer oriented.

They have always taken care of me and my needs, whether it is my home or large dumpster for a project, the crew there has helped all the way through. Although it often goes unnoticed, I am blown away with these drivers and how much they truly care. Ive seen them go out of their way on many occasions, and also get out of the truck to pick up a stray piece of trash. They are always kind and I appreciate their friendliness when I happen to catch them in the morning.

When I ordered the service, I was told that the bins were scheduled to be dropped off on Jan 9th. They werent and I received no communication as to why, when and if I was get them at a later time. When I called to follow up, the associate said she had no way to find out what happened or be much of help to address the issue other than seeing the note in the system saying that it was postponed to the 13th. And no surprises at all when they missed delivery again the following week without any explanations or what so ever. We have trash and boxes piling up in the garage because republic services keeps failing to deliver its service commitments. Unacceptable!

If I could give a zero, I would. This is unbelievable. I can not explain how frustrated I am with the services. 1. Called 2 month ago to cancel the service (thought I canceled it) 2. Noticed a charge from them on my bank account, but they already picked up all garbage cans (did not make sense in my head) 3. called them again to make sure I am not getting charged/cancel my account 4. two weeks later still getting charged without any service provided (bins are already picked up 1.5 month ago) 4. called them again and customer service rep tells me it is my fault that I did not take my CC off the account UNBELIEVABLE!!! How it could be even possible!

After numerous attempts to contact I have to say that previous one-star reviews are valid. If I can give a negative dot I will.Since October, I have been trying to contact the responsible personnel (who seems to be a supervisor) via emails, phone messages, personal stop-by at their Bellevue office, and the City planner helped me placed calls and emails. Just drop dead silence. You dont know what will make them respond for my business connection service change - location change, or change to the individual bins, or separate 4-cy containers at a couple locations to avoid utility easement? Nothing - the personnel is not interested in looking into these details at all, not for the companys interest and not for the communitys interest. Oh, spam phone calls soon after - not sure if those were related yet I did noticed.I miss the time of America 30 years ago. even 20 years ago people were really friendly and helpful. Now its totally A different scenario - they see if you are from a big corp. if you are a small company - a target for them to sit and laugh at you. How do I know? This afternoon there was a lady on the phone who cut off for 30 seconds after I mentioned the City where the development is, then came back and directing me to a regular someone will call you back in 48 hours - she was determining if my case should be taken seriously or not. And I have gotten this response a few times already that has been drop dead quiet.What a group - discriminating small business, discriminating minority women engineer.Update on Jan. 02, 2020: since there are more than 100 views of this post, I am updating the status of this task. Nothing happened (except another spam phone call) by writing to the email address provided, next day I called UTC and reported 9 attempts by me (actually, more than 9 times) and at least 3 times by the Citys planner, UTC took my compliant and contacted the company. Before noon they contacted the City for apologies. --- No apologies to me! Well, at least someone was reading my request of change and technical information on alternatives - it was all about change the pickup format. Because I have listed details on how this change will not harm safety, the access, and will benefit NUDs plan on water main improvements. In the end I received the letter of approval before holidays and the City and NUD can continuing their review.This small task took a lot of my energy. It can be scaled as tiny task relative to other tasks for this project we have accomplished - wetland mitigation, stormwater treatment, traffic impact, utility connections, access road and site configuration design, architectural design and structural engineering.

Big company with city contract = they have people over a barrel and could care less. Customer service is terrible, they didnt pick up for 3 weeks straight during the snow storm and charged for it anyway. The rep said, thats just the way it is.

My problem with Republic Services is that one hand doesnt know what the other is doing. If you make a payment, even walk it in...on more than one occasion, the pickup trucks were not updated. And, after making a payment, a week later...someone came to pick up our cans. He acted like we were criminals when we told him our account was in good status. Truly, it just seems like Customer Service, Accounts Payable, the pickup trucks and can distribution...just are operated by separate communication tracks. Makes for a lousy customer experience.

I wish I could give them 0 starts cause that is what they deserve when it comes to customer service satisfaction and their policies . They messed up with the last pickup, they didnt pick up the recycling, the landlord called me, I called them and they said that is gonna be picked up by the end of the day, do you think they did? noo. the landlord than called a junk removal companie and informed me it was $100 from our deposit because it was last minute pickup ... I have been calling them and they kept twisting stories to make it look like is my fault , the landlord ... It was just them, they were supposed to pick up everything, no one needs to have recycling in the bins at an open house , that day was their first open house.

I have called the office and walked in to ask how to recycle specific items because the chart is confusing. The people behind the desk do not know and are always checking with someone else. Most of the time the answer is, That cant be recycled. They dont take of plastic bags anymore. That is done by grocery stores. I agree with this company having a monopoly and not feeling they need to try hard to improve recycling and customer service. Hello, City of Bellevue, are you reading all of these comments.I thought we were a more advanced city about caring for our environment. This group does not seem to have the answers or care.

Worst service ever! We moved into a new house and called for waste collection service. They did not provide us a container. We called multiple times and were told the container was out of stock, so we had been without a can for more than FIVE weeks. It was fall time and our yard waste piled up. Representatives only told us theres nothing they could do because they did not have any container, and they were not willing to reimburse my expense to get rid of the waste. I finally called the government and a can was sent to us immediately.

They are abusing their monopoly and doing whatever they want. They dont even have their policies on a consistent basis. Once they decide they want excess recycle to go in the boxes and next week they told me that is not the case. City of Bellevue should heed their citizens of this abuse and provide alternative services or enforce stricter and better customer service. Republic services is getting the best of both worlds - a monopoly protected by the City of Bellevue, charge whatever they want and provide whatever services they think is right

I ordered a dumpster for my small business renovation work and they did not deliver because they scheduled incorrectly. I called and told the attending agent that I gave clear instructions and confirmed that the work was on the weekend so they can deliver it on Friday and just have it picked up on Monday with added cost on me. They did not deliver because they had it scheduled for Monday delivery.The agent told me that they would just cancel delivery and not charge me. I could not help but laugh on his response and he got mad that I was laughing. How could you not laugh on having someone charge you for not delivering the service? Now, I have to reschedule again the workers and pay extra for them not delivering it on schedule. I called again to arrange the delivery of a dumpster and they could not give a confirmation that its going to be delivered on the day. republic services is the only garbage provider in my area and left me to just engage the private hauling services.Very bad service. If I could only give them zero star, that is what they will get.

Man oh man, dont call customer service if you want an understanding, helpful person who actually cares. And if you make a mistake and accidentally put the wrong thing in the garbage can, expect a stern OOPS with threats of no more service. Too bad there are no other option for garbage service in my city. :(

I understand that due to inclement weather our neighborhood garbage service had to be cancelled for 2 weeks. These things happen rarely. During the second week of no regular service a neighbor was contacted by Republic via a voice message stating that garbage only would be picked up the following morning. If not for the neighbor telling some of us we would have had no idea. Then this week I noticed a few green yard waste cans on the street for a couple days filled with recyclables. Once again , some customers were notified and others were not. When I tried to call and find out how to be notified in the future there was a recording which said to please not call as they have a high call volume. I would have spoken to them about this instead of posting here had I had the opportunity to speak with someone.

Seems like a waste of time posting a review for a company with a full area monopoly. But hopefully it makes a small positive difference.It is simply hard to imagine less caring company that treats their customers like a lifeless commodity. From complete indifference of customer service, to total lack of consumer communication, all the way to a misleading and contradictive policies. It’s been a long history of misses, but holiday tree collection took the 1st prize today.Instead of doing what the rest of US does, and simply putting a tree at the curbside, these jokers require that “you cut the tree and bundle it back together”. Only after the call to their customer service line. Otherwise, they just drive right by and leave you to figure it out.This “company” would not last a day in an open market. It will make you feel nostalgic for the day you’d spent at the Driver’s Licensing office. You have no idea what “bad” means until you have had direct experience with Republic. I’m sure they have a Richie Aprile on consulting payroll.

Terrible service. Will not pick up all the garbage at times. Sometimes while emptying the bins they drop trash on the streets and let it stay there. When theres bad weather for a day or two, they cancel the pickup for that week altogether.

We called to ask about why they took one of our yard waste bins. They charged us for the service of it even though I watched them take it away at pick up day. We told them we wanted a refund because they charged us for the service even through they are the ones that took it away. She said no refund and it’s our fault for not calling sooner. We asked to speak to the manager and she hun up on us. Called back and got another person who easily did the refund and is having a replacement can sent. The customer service is a joke but unfortunately there’s no competition or other options for us so they can get away with it. No accountability. Donald Slager you should be embarrassed!

No notification on switch from WM. After a great deal of confusion within my neighborhood and a bill received, I called customer service. After waiting 10 minutes to get through, thw women who took my was rude and told me I must have missed the memos. The customer service is the biggest downfall to this company. So disappointed.

A Republic Services truck with an uncovered box turned westbound on 522 today March 20 2017 at about 1:05 pm. He blew a hell of a lot of debris out of his truck especially while flying down the hill at close to 70 mph. I tried calling them and after 30 minutes waiting for a customer service rep I gave up and came here. Not a great display of your company, Republic Services.
