Went here with my 18 month old son. He cries at haircuts and despite this, it was GREAT! The team was super sweet and helped calm him. He got a balloon at the end which made him so happy.

This was the worst experience I could have had. My son is special needs and non verbal so I did research and came to this salon because it says specializes in kids with special needs. They did not have sensory clippers, she cut my sons ear with the trimmers, it is completely un even, and I am now going to order the sensory clippers from Amazon to fix it. My husband usually cuts it and does a way better job even with my son moving way more. The only distraction tactic she had was a tablet. I expected way more and if me and my mom werent able to help her she had no one else there to help. I am highly disappointed and will not recommend this salon to any other parents of special needs children. Also mind you the hair cut was $33, $28 with my coupon.

I came here on Monday with my daughter to get her hair cut for the first time. Everything was good until I sat down when she was getting her hair cut. There was hair everywhere and not clean, like they don’t clean at night. It was gross. The lady was super nice and was really good with my girl. I thought her hair looked good, until I got home and put her hair in a pony tail. 1. Her hair is 2 completely different lengths. 2. Her part is all messed up and goes in the front of her face if it’s not in a pony tail. It looks awful. I’m not happy and now I have to hopefully get it fixed somewhere else.

Put in an appointment a week ago to get my son his first haircut, get to the door and its closed due to temporary hours. Communication would have been nice given a week in advance.It currently is showing to be open online and clearly needs an update...Update: Apparently they are open, a lady called 30 minutes later to say we were late/missed the appointment, when we said we were 15min early and it read closed we left, she asked why we didnt call as she said she got there at 10:50am and we just mentioned the above comment with attached photo showing closed and a dark room. My wifey got snatchy about it (sorry) but we declined a reschedule. Seems she may have been late and didnt want a confrontation with management/owner, wouldnt fire her as opposed to resetting expectations as well as sign needs to be changed.Apologies for the lengthy review.

My two year old son came here and had his first hair cut at a salon. He was very scared at first but after a bit of time he got used to it. Thank you to Mariya for being patient and teaching my son there was nothing to be scared of! She did a great job overall and would recommend! My son loved his hair cut and cant stop looking at him self in the mirror. Thank you for a wonder ful experience!P.s. the last picture was not the final look but he was excited and happy to see his new look.

The place is fine (pre-COVID), and very reasonably priced. But they can do better wrt COVID/sanitization. When I went it, there were kids on every chair (no distancing) and every kid came accompanied by 2 parents (you really dont need two parents for a haircut). There are signs saying only one parent is permitted, but it wasnt being enforced. Oh and one parent also didnt wear a mask, and no one told them to wear it. Id probably not go back for a while

I took my younger son for a haircut yesterday morning. Normally, the barber would use scissors to cut the bangs, but the barber who cut my child’s hair used a trimmer and cut too much off, even though we specified not to. The barber also cut off some of my son’s eyebrow! Usually they give good haircuts, but this was a bad experience.

Very fun place for kids to get their haircut. they always do a great job. the kids can watch shows on an iPad they provide, because of covid they only allow one hair cut at a time with one adult only in the store. seemed very clean and safety guidelines were met

Snip-Its is a great place. I went in with my one year old and she gets very anxious if someone touches her head. And we were not sure how will we able to get her hair styled and we wanted a particular style as well. But they did a great job by engaging her and getting her hair styled beautifully

I’m editing my 1st review. My sons first hair cut a few months ago was amazing. Maria (I believe her name is) was so patient with my little guy (2 years old) and made sure he still had a full head of curls but more tamed and even when we left. However, today was a difference experience. My son HAD beautiful curly hair until Lizzy got to it. I came in and asked for just a trim so his curls weren’t in his eyes or over his ears and down his neck. He was doing well so I stepped away for a min to look at some hair products and check my phone. I turned back around and she had taken off at least 5 inches...definitely not a trim. I told her it was so short and asked her not to take any more off. She offered to leave some length on top and try to blend but it was a lost cause at that point so I kept my mouth shut, mainly because I was in shock and holding back tears. She could tell I was concerned because she kept trying to reassure me it would grow back curly because I had curly hair and kids hair doesn’t change until puberty. Still confused on that one. She could definitely be right, I’ve just never heard of that. I still paid and I tipped, looking back I wish I would have made it more obvious how upset I was. Still upset for spending around $45 for an afternoon of tears. So, here is the major turn of events that made me edit my review...after we got home from all our errands my son is rubbing the back of his neck and said ‘owee’...yup...she cut him. Now, I would totally understand if he had been fussing and making sudden movements...but he was very still and I have the pictures to prove it. Of course, we had to tell him to look straight a few times...but nothing that would have resulted in a reason for getting him with the shears. I’m done. NEVER EVER going back to this place.

This is one of the few places we’ve found that actually gives our daughter a good haircut. They are welcoming and friendly and do a great job. She loves getting fun braids after her haircut and looks forward to the prize at the end. We will keep coming back here!

Very kid friendly place - toys, books, tablets, fun paint. The stylists are adept at dealing with (upset) little ones. My daughter hates hair cuts, but had a quick. low tears session. Loved her cute cut. The automated text alert wait system is smart. You can roam the mall until its your kids turn. I will definitely come again.

The price is right and the experience is really nice for the Royal Spa package. The ladies are very nice and did a beautiful job with my girls. The reason I have to take off stars is for how the experience began. I booked the appointment 2 weeks in advance for me and my 2 girls to have the Royal Spa package together. I confirmed 4 days in advance because this was very important to my girls. Upon arrival, they had no record of us. They acted annoyed and tried to place the blame on me until I showed phone records of the calls. They were only able to accommodate the girls and were very rushed through the whole process. I was very disappointed by the attitude. I would have expected at least a small discount for the way we were received. I will not be returning and recommend you look elsewhere if you want to be sure youll get service.

I have been taking my nervous, hater-of-change daughter to Amanda at Snip-its for a few years. Amanda is extremely good with her, and ensures that she leaves happy every time. She is professional, experienced, and talented! We wont go anywhere else!

Great experience! My two year old is terrified of getting his haircut. The staff are so nice and patient and have helped him feel more comfortable. He still doesnt love getting his hair cut, but he is much more calm and on way to having an anxiety-free haircut experience.

We only went in once, since I usually cut my sons hair myself but this was a special occasion. The stylist did her level best with my freaked-out toddler, so kudos to her for making the best of a very difficult situation! In the end, it was a better cut than I could give, and pretty impressive considering how squirrely he was. Love the atmosphere, and the waiting area with the fun toys and puzzles. Next time we need a better-than-mom cut, well be back!

Edited Post: After my review the owner of Snip Its was quick to reach out to me and offered a full refund. For this I am giving it one more star for the timely and appropriate response from the business, which I do really appreciate.We tried out Snip its today for the first time since we are often at Crossroads and we enjoyed the previous Salon. It was not the same experience. While they successfully provide a very kid-friendly atmosphere ( toys, tablet to watch during the hair-cut, a little treat at the end) they failed to give my kids a good haircut. Both my 3 y/o and 5 y/o sat very still during their haircuts but both of their bangs and back of their hair came out crooked! For $52 ( 2 @ $26) I expected a much better haircut! I took them in because I thought the trained professional would do a better job than myself. That price also does not include shampoo or drying. Without drying the hair its hard to determine if its really straight, but you gotta pay extra for that. Im really disappointed because I would have liked to take my kids back here again and again. But its too expensive for such a mediocre haircut.

After reading some reviews I thought we might need to wait, but today was our lucky day. When we got there the last person was leaving so we were next! I also wasnt sure what I wanted and Sally asked us a lot of questions which helped me put into words what we wanted. I now know for future haircuts what to request, and were really happy with the way my sons haircut came out. (I usually just say make it nice and sometimes we like it but not often.) Its a good place for small kids. I took my 10year old and she didnt like the experience. The hairdressers are good with kids, but kind of too many people inside at times. Booking early recommended on weekends. Overall wasnt impressed by the haircut as well, so never went back.

I loved one of the hair styles there. She knows how to cut my sons poor hair. All the rest is OK but they are less confident doing my sons hair. I will have to stick to the one I liked. Another bonus is that they offer 5-cut package, which makes them affordable.

This place is kids friendly and they have packages for kids with all ages.They do go with appointment online or you can walk-in with some wait time.There best package is for an year which helps you save some dollars..They have activity table and toys which kids can enjoy while in waiting..

Patience is important, so the quality of the work. I was a frequent customer taking our kids, BUT last time, we didnt noticed but they destroyed my kiddos hair and also, little expensive. Hope they can double check always how the hair cut was before closing the work. Again, it was first time we had this bad experience.

Great place to get a haircut for your little one. The manager (I believe her name was Amanda) did really good in entertaining my 1 year old while cutting his hair. And he looked so handsome! Highly recommending this place.

Birthday party for 9 year old plus 4 friends. The girls had a great time. They did a spa party where they could chose to get nails, hair and/or makeup done. Staff was very friendly and patient with the giggily girls. Lots of great glittery hair-dos. I only wished the nail polish was longer lasting. I get the all natural options for littles, but for the older girls the polish started coming off the same day/ completely off by the next day. Would recommend for a fun and easy party.

We ended up here an hour after my three year old and her 5 year old brother decided to play beauty shop and cut off all of her ringlets to the scalp. I was the most traumatized by far. Everyone from the other customers to our hair dresser was sympathetic and kind to us. They did a great job making the chop job into a sweet pixie cut.

Ended up waiting 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment. There was only 1 younger woman there working, she was clearly overwhelmed. The woman who was supposed to cut my sons hair (mind you this is his very first haircut) shows up late. She chopped his bangs up so bad, he of course was getting irritated and restless. She increasingly got flustered with him, she stopped cutting his hair and turned to me saying “he won’t let me do much more, here you go he’s all done” it looked awful. Then on top of all this, the printer was out of ink so we couldn’t get his picture and certificate right away for his first hair cut. $40 for the “haircut”, picture, and certificate. We even tipped her despite the off-putting experience. I most definitely will never be back there again.

It’s really nice place for kids. Been there many times with my daughter. Some stylists are great some ok. Never had a disaster happen and my daughter loves getting gifts, goldfish and lollipops. We’ll be back again for sure.

Amanda did great work with us. My son is two and was not feeling like getting a haircut he really needed on the one day we actually could get the cut. Plus we had limited time. She took us back quickly and rolled with the punches. He didnt want to sit in the chair - ok, he can sit on mommys lap. He didnt want to wear the cape - no problem. She did a stellar cut quickly (even with his double colic) and then charmed him with a toy car at the end. She even helped blow-dry all the toddler hair off of me. Thanks again! Amanda is the best. We had our 6 year old daughters birthday party at snip-it in Crossroad mall. I was very impressed with the care and effort our party was done for us. All my guests commented on how many details were prepared specifically for for my daughter. For example, my daughter was allowed to pick a theme and they purchased all things in that pink cheetah pattern as she wanted. That included the birthday table supplies, balloons and the cake ( ALL IN PINK CHEETAH!) They even created a banner for the cake with my daughters name on it. Also, they made her full height number 6 to take pictures with . I was contacted multiple times prior to the party to clarify on my specific preferences. They even tried to accommodate the time for the party that was more convenient for us. During the party they handle all the entertainment themselves. I was very impressed. I recommend to try them out and I cannot imagine not being pleased with the service.

Great place for a kids haircut. They do a nice job keeping the kids comfortable & busy with iPads to look at if distraction is needed. The haircuts have always been really good, and my 5-year old has tricky hair to cut, but they always get it right. Also I like the location near other fun kids stuff, we always add on a trip to Wiggle works & food court.

I have taken my under 3 year old son for a couple of hair cuts (he has a lot of hair!!) here and I am always pleased with the results. The women who have worked with him in the past have been patient and gentle and I highly recommend this place!

I was asked to check online and wait was supposed to be an hour when I called to confirm I was assured that my spot will be available. I showed up after the hour my spot was given to someone else and I was asked to wait for another hour. The cashier was extremely unapologetic and did not accommodate for the snafu caused. Never going again. They may be giving good haircuts but we will never know.

I am going to the snip-it at Bellevue for past 2 years for my son had amazing experience. Amanda is our to go for my toddler. She is really patient and very friendly with kids. Ambience is very welcoming to young kids.

We had head tonsure for our 3 yr old daughter, at this place. it was an awesome experience overall and stuff is very courteous and careful while having hair cut . I think its little pricey but I am okay with as long as there is value in it.

My poor 2.5 year old had an awesome head of hair and we only wanted a trim. The lady thought that taking it down to a #6 from 7 long was a trim!! We convinced her to manually trim his hair but it was still butchered. Way too short and might as well put a bowl over his head to cut his bangs. Trained or not i wont be taking him back there. The lady even commented how it was refreshing to have such a calm kid but that still didnt make a difference in the outcome.

She is a really talented hairstylist and knows a lot about color as well. I would highly recommend her.

Went in trusting they worked with kids and could cut my kiddos hair with her being nervous and potentially not sitting completely still. The lady seemed to not even know what to do and she ended up cutting my daughters butt length hair totally crooked and I had to point it out. The left side was a good two inches shorter than the right. And of course I only wanted a little cut off but had to loose that much more at an attempt to straighten it. It was awhile back but I get “please review ya” emails every few months so I figure if they ask I’ll just go ahead and review. What’s interesting is the email says to click a different link if you had a bad experience like they don’t want it posted here. Oh well people need to know . Getting your kiddos hair cut can be nerve wracking and I wouldn’t recommend going here personally.

We have tried Snip-Its three times, and all three times, I have been displeased by the quality of the haircuts. I really want to like it. Its nice to have the ability to sign in to get on a wait list, eat at meal and hang out at Crossroads, and get a haircut the same day. The staff are nice, and on the surface, its a nice setup and kid-friendly. However, ultimately, it should focus most on kids haircuts, and that is where it stops short.All three visits, Ive had three different stylists give my daughter three different versions of the same basic bob I try to describe to them. The first cut looked best, but I had to keep pointing out the crooked areas, and my daughter also left with a head full of glitter that ultimately imbedded itself in her scalp. It took a month to remove it all, and I had to do it with a brush and coconut oil and a lot of elbow grease.The second cut was not as good, but it wasnt crooked, at least. It was inverted from what I had requested (original request was a bob that is slightly shorter in the back). It ended up being longer in the back, and it was overall left longer than I had wanted it.This most recent one was the worst. She ended up with crooked hair (up and down and up and down), obviously shorter on one side than the other, and it ended up being so short in places, I had to ask second stylist to come in and try to fix it. I spoke up and asked the first one to stop after it just kept getting g shorter and shorter and more and more crooked. The second stylist made one side look good, but the first side was so short and crooked, that it didnt match, and she was hesitant to make the other side equally short. She did what she could.They didnt charge for the cut, and thats fine, but I dont mind paying for a nice haircut. It would have been better to have had the nice haircut. Three strikes rule. We wont be going back.

My son has autism and i knew he would have a very hard time with his haircut. Our stylist was truly amazing. She gave him the greatest cut, despite his crying and squirming, and she did quickly! If your kid has sensory issues, this is the place to go.

The folks here are really great at helping little kids work through any fear they might have when getting a haircut. Our little guy had a pretty traumatic experience at another kids haircut place (the one in Bellevue Square), and he was terrified of getting his haircut. The stylists at Snip its have been very patient and gentle with him, and every time we visit he does better with getting his haircut.

I went there today for my daughters first haircut. All this while I have been trimming her hair at home. But now she is at such a an age,that if entertained she does sit quietly on the chair.We were attended by Amanda. I saw a lot of things being used to entertain and sooth the child into getting the haircut. But since I know my daughter is fan of cocomelon ( yes screen time,it works for her). I am a mindful parent and make sure to limit screen time as much in the day,like may be 20 mins/day,so she had her share at the salon today. Anyway if other parents dnt want that option I know I saw toys, snacks etc. Ahaana took liking to Amandas way of being handled and that was a relief for me. For a first time haircut outside I was expecting more tears and falling down all over the salon. But trust me we got her a beautiful first hair cut. She even smiled and said bye bye to Amanda at the end,thats how happy she was. My daughter was also give balloon at the end. Price wise I know its decent compare to other places. Booking an appointment online was super fast and easy.Also they welcome walk-ins which is a sigh of relief for me. I like to know that walk in is an option in some of these salons. They also do ear piercing,and have good choices of earrings and hair accessories. Though we did not get our daughters ears pierced here. I like this place and will keep coming back. After a really awful experience somewhere else, our stylist was great with my son, who is 2. She was calm and knew how to handle him and the Ipads helped distract him. Still sucks paying $40 for a child’s 5 minute haircut but it’s briefly worth it when you leave without tears or cuts.

I took my twins here for their first hair cut and had a terrible experience. The cuts were too short and turned out ugly and they charged us more for the first haircut (maybe 70 or 75 for both boys) and all they did was put some hairs in an unmarked baggie. Will never go again. This was about a year ago so maybe they have better stylists now.

Nice place for kids hair cut.. I went there to shave my 11 months old kid..it was wonderfully done with out any cuts on head..really amazed

By far the worst experience. I showed them a photo of my daughters previous hair style and asked them to style it just like that. It was a simple baby bang hair style but the stylist did the worst job ever! Her hair was trimmed like a boy and even that was imperfect with different section of hair having different lengths! For $33 this is a scam! I would have given them negative stars if that were an option. Total waste of money

Just had my daughters second hair experience at the salon and loved it. The first was for a magical birthday party where the girls were given royale treatment and made to feel like princesses (hairdos, dress up, red carpet fun). This second experience was a haircut (since the party was so fun My daughter wanted to return) and I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, and the manager Shane, who is super awesome! The stylist that cut my daughters hair was very sweet and good with my daughters shy personality-she drew out several smiles and giggles. She was very communicative about the cut making sure I was on board before she did anything. The haircut was great and my daughter loved the glitter and magic wand prize at the end. Overall a great experience! Also the salon was very clean! We will be back!

My son has autistic behaviors and this place is the only one that can cut his hair. The staff is friendly, fast and able to please both kids and parents. Well worth the money.

We walked in spontaneously because my son saw the toys there. Snip it haircuts its a very inviting place for kids and wonderful. Lots of toys for children while they wait, tablets and goldfish while they get their haircut. My 2 year old son watched a couple of other boys get there haircut and didnt seem afraid. When it was his turn he wasnt thrilled and cried alot but the hairdresser did a great job! She maneuvered around his moving and crying and his haircut turned out great, perfect for the hot weather. The wait was pretty long, even though I had checked in from yelp. I wish they had car shaped seats or something similar like in other places I have see to keep the kids entertained. Though they did have Netflix and YouTube on iPad which kept my toddler entertained. It was an ok experience for me.

My son has autism and was scared of the clippers. His first haircut they got him to sit still with no screaming for a scissor cut, which was amazing. His second cut they were able to successfully use clippers for the whole cut without him screaming at all.

We took our 3 and half years old to take hair cut,which he is very easy boy and he loves haircut, I told them I dont like very short, and its ok to be short on the side but not all over, so it end up to very very short hair after 5 minutes, and I thought its ok it will grow again fast, but when I gave a bath to him I found out she shaved his eyebrow on the left side, I have pictures of my son to prove. I called to talk to manager, they said she is not working today, we will call you back.So they called me back and manager was really nice, thay agreed with me about haircut which wasnt done well,and shaved eyebrow, and they refund money with a complementary haircut with some one which knows how to do, I loved their customer service.

Weve been here twice and both times the cuts were great. Kids enjoy the goldfish snacks and special surprise after the cuts. They also have ipads for kids to watch a show while they get their hair cut. Stylists were good with kids. We go there, put our name on the list and then head to Wiggleworks if we have a wait. Makes for a fun afternoon!

My 15 month old cried and threw a fit! Who knows how but we left with the perfect little pixie cut anyway! Absolutely recommend this place to anyone with kiddos!
