I started taking a beginning sewing class in June 2019 with Isis through the Continuing Education program at MCC. I continued on to the next level class and will soon start the 3rd level class. I am addicted. Isis is a good instructor and keeps us entertained. :-) She is always willing to answer your sewing questions (I text her often, lucky her). You also have the opportunity to meet new people in class, if thats your thing. Weve made several projects in class and they are all something you can do on your own at home after taking Isis classes. I made several burp cloths on my own at home for a friends baby shower. I was so proud of myself. ANYONE can sew. Dont be afraid to take a class and see if sewing is for you. Attached is a picture of the apron I made in one of my first classes.

Love B Star Sewing! Isis is extremely knowledgeable and has the patience of a saint with students! Ive taken 2 classes at B Star and will start my 3rd class shortly. This is the BEST way to learn how to use a sewing machine and empowers students to make unique things. You will NOT regret taking a class or two!

B Star Sewing is a fun, creative place to learn new techniques and brush up on your sewing and serger skills. The owner, Isis Prentice-Gertig, maintains a very relaxed atmosphere while you are learning. I especially like the fact that it is in Bellevue Nebraska!

Awesome place to learn everything from the basics to complex projects. Small class sizes mean lots of time for personalized instruction. I took 3 4-week long classes and learned to create bags and garments, as well as several different stitches and how to use the serger .

Learned a lot of helpful tips. Projects were great.
